Absolutely love the music played in your video! It's actually my type of music. I think you should have it for your videos. It's very soothing and relaxing.
Thanks Luke . You know we had to bury our cat of 16 years , very heart breaking as with your dog, very touching in your vid, I think this is what I like about you and Suzy's adventures , Your real and you have a sensitive side also , which In my opinion is good as your audience will very. Another great vid , thanks again my friend until the next time, cheers
You remind me a lot my days gone by, never to be done again...live it, love it, enjoy it now, brother...it will never be done again except in your memories...smile...
That toilet story happened exactly the same with my son. He knew how close the trail was and was concerned someone would see him. I reminded him we hadn’t seen hikers all day. Of course 3 hikers happened to walk by while he was busy. Now my son isn’t a little boy. He’s a 6’ 260 lbs muscular and very hairy mid 20’s man. Needles to say the hikers acted as if it were no big deal, said hello and hiked on by. I told my son it could have been worse and they might have thought he was a Sasquatch.
Enjoyed as always....I love the sounds of nature , the birds, wind , etc....can not believe anyone would not love the calls, songs of birds in nature ....thanks luke! Strength and honor.....stay safe .....God bless....🙏
I sympathise with you over your knee problems. I injured mine many many years ago as a teenager when I was thrown from my pony. Same as you it healed but is still a real weakness and even treading awkward can start it off again.
I enjoy Luke's adventures!! The thing I enjoy the most is his take on things no matter the topic. Sharing his various experiences with his family and friends. The ideas he generates with the variety of gear that he tests and uses. Our family tent camps but we have an excessive compound with canopies, etc. Luke's channel has given us ideas on how to make our camp more efficient but still comfortable!! The viewers also lend a lot with their comments. Great Stuff!!
Thank you so much for all the great out door trips that you provide for all of us to enjoy ! I really like your expertise and opinions regarding all of the camping gear that you test out in all weather, real use conditions. Your videos make me feel like I am right there with you. I have been camping in our mountains for over sixty years now and I still love it! Again, thanks Luke. Be safe out there and I will keep watchin . 🥾👍🪓😉
Glad that you brought up EVs, petroleum dependence on all automobiles, toxic metals and chemicals necessary to build batteries, etc. There are also petrochemicals involved in paint, interior plastic moulding, electrical wire insulation, tires, and just about everything that's not metal, and that has to be mined, etc, etc, etc. Camping and hiking gear - same thing. Nearly everything is plastic. Thanks for the video. I love the sound of rain on a minimalist shelter. It makes one thankful for the little things.
I really enjoy your channel. I just wanted to comment about the advantages of hunting. I'm not a hunter but I do work in a homeless shelter. I'm glad you mentioned about the donated meat to shelters. Absolutely spot on! We get hundreds of pounds of processed deer meat every single year. It makes a difference in the lives of our residents. Thank you, hunters!
Hi Luke, loving all your adventures wether it be long hikes or short camp outs. Sympathy to you on your injured knee!, did a stupid injury to my knee as well 6 months ago, still not right!, buy hey, still getting out as much as I can, just have to know the limitations. I am 71 yrs old and have been 'discovering' the joys of wild camping and walking in my part of the UK, am loving every minute of my time outside, hope to be able to carry on for many more years yet🤞. Keep making these videos Luke, they are a great inspiration to all ages 👍👍.
I'm a fan...love hearing about all the various products he tests. That he does it for real in some pretty austere campsites lends credence to his knowledge & expertise we can all benefit from. Keep it going!
I love that sound. I want to setup an area at my house that's just for sitting and listening when it rains, mostly open and have a nice little fire pit in the middle. Take a book out and just relax, of course it will end up turning into a nap but that's ok.
New subscriber here, your videos are so helpful and thorough, especially for people like myself that are relatively new to wild camping and hiking. Your tent reviews especially helped me so much, thank you for the awesome content !!!
Hey Luke, much respect for adding the points about hunting and EVs in the middle of this video. beyond promoting environmental awareness, I really appreciate the messages about seeing both sides. We're living in a very polarized time, and it seems like people are only interested in the information that easiest appeals to their sense of what is right. Sometimes, the issues are far more complicated than the lowest common denominator's immediate worries. This is one of my favourite videos of yours that I've watched.
Yeah everybody talks about animal rights and stuff, the best way a deer can live is free in nature . I does not get more ethical than buying from a hunter.
Love hearing the stories about your son.... Any young man looking for a career, I would recommend a Degree in Forestry. Numerous Opportunities. (Wish I had when I was young)
I enjoy all the various equipment reviews and various ways of camping and day hiking you do... I purchased some gear based upon your reviews. I will now check out that knife that is your all time favorite.
Thanks for pointing out the positive impact that hunters and hunting makes. I'd also like to mention that in most states, a majority of fees collected for hunting and fishing licenses go towards funding conservation efforts in wildlife and environmental management. Hunters and fishers make a profound impact towards maintaining a stable ecological management program nationwide!
Don't ever change your style. I love the short vids and the epic vids. Great job. I lived in Indiana for 40 years. Stuck in New Mexico now. Can't wait to move back to trees water and weather
I always enjoy watching your vids it makes me feel like im there at same time. Coffee is great and being in middle of nowhere its awesome to kick back and relax with a good cup of brew
Another great adventure! Love the hunting topic. You're absolutely correct! Always and educational experience with you brother. "Strength and Honor!"👍🏻
Over population is not only bad for the herd, but the environment around them. If you're seeing graze lines on the trees where every limb with leaves is eaten off as high as a deer can eat, you have to figure sapling trees are being destroyed due to lack of food. Our neighbors would raise cattle, and when they would move them to the fenced in area around the woods, they would consume the greenery down to the point it looks like you're in managed park. Deer shouldn't be in a herds like cattle.
Thanks for defending Hunting, there are so many people that have no idea what they are saying when it comes to hunting game. It is essential to keep the herds healthy and many families rely on the meat.
Stopping the video before 1 minute in and I just have to say thank you for the back to back videos. Your music selection is just superb!!! Now back to the video!
Totally agree with your point on hunting. And you are right that there are so much animals killed during the process of harvesting crops…but please keep also in mind that most of the crops produced are used to feed animals. We should all consider eating less meat and more meat from hunting. Keep up your great work! Strength and honor!
Luke, i appreciate you announcing your name at the beginning of your videos, please keep it up. Being a young stroke patient with memory issues, I still appreciate knowing who im watching on youtube :)
Great video, thanks! With respect to being “environmentally responsible”, yes, going in that direction is reliant on the very technology that we are trying to replace…but it’s that direction that we need to go….because the current energy production norms are unacceptable and have to change…messy now, but as the technology for producing renewable energy products progresses, the messiness to do so will decrease…we need to keep our eye on making it right. IMHO! 😊
Well said about hunting luke. I've been hunting my dinner all my life and understand my environment. Many people don't get that close to the soil if you get my drift
COFFEE FIRST!!!! ALWAYS! LOL Love the Aquaquest tarp, the 10x13 Safari is my shelter every trip, all seasons. I can hang my hammock under it and use my Biolite stove in any weather. My friend has a 16x16 Kelty Noah's tarp, we have put the two together to make a shelter big enough to cover both hammocks, set up our Helinox chairs, crank the Biolite in winter to stay warm if it's raining or snowing too bad; his tarp is 6 pounds, mine is 2 pounds. Aquaquest makes great tarps, lifetime guarantee.
Thank you Luke for mentioning deer hunting. You’re right, the average person doesn’t understand that herds need to be culled. If there are too many, they either get hit by cars or starve to death. My husband hunts and we get enough deer meat for the two of us till the following year. Over population is not good for the deer as you mentioned. Thanks again!
No offense Pat but overpopulation is bad for all living organisms, humans included. For some reason, it offends people when you suggest that humans are overpopulating the areas where they live.
Hi Luke....really enjoy your videos..I also like Tarp Camping and agree that was a monster of Tarp...I want to give You a thumbs up on the the two subjects you spoke about....HUNTING AND ELECTRIC CARS...I'm 100% on your side about the issue of each....well wish you many more Happy Camping Adventures 🏕 😀
As an Australian, I understand the problem of massive fires. 2 years ago, it seemed like half of my country was on fire, most of the east coast was burning. Millions of acres, loss of life, loss of bush, farmland, animals. I hope your rain helps.
i served in the military with a guy from australia, josha fisher in the us military. i spoke to him after the fires it was all bad. but if he was any indacation of the people of your country then they are strong very strong. sorry for your loss.
One thing I learned in the army was , even if you were sleeping on cots in a squad or platoon size tent, still bring your shelter half. Using a couple of shovels from the pioneer kit you can create a tent over and around two cots that is will provide added weather protection (and in the winter greater heat retention)
I’ve done true cowboy camping and the only cover I had at the time was pines . If it wasn’t for my drover coat I would have been really wet, when morning came , I build a fire with wood that I put away before the rain . Took a few hours to dry out but we made it through it. I wish there was a tarp handy but moving fast and light you give up things. Good camping and reviews ! Continue the good work
Another great one Luke. LOL, the background music for the trail cams. We make our own deer sausage and everyone I know asks for some, even my hairdresser. South Louisiana Man.
Thank you Luke for providing the explanation with which I can tell my Wife I need a second backpacking tarp! Hahahaha ( She says "oh I have Luke to thank..." )
Hello Luke always love to watch the adventures.. it is awesome watching you work with the gigantic tarp.. Never thought of using a tarp until i started watching your adventures.. absolutely great! thank you for sharing..
Fun video! On backpack trips when heavy rain came in I've used all sorts of solutions to dealing with rain blowing under my tarp. One time I tossed my rain jacket over the bottom half of my sleeping bag to keep it dry. Other times I've deployed an extra tarp or emergency tarp to block rain from blowing under the tarp shelter. Good times!
Luke, we have been watching your channel now for a about 6 mos. Love it, really. My friend your views are the best and I love two cents on life. You are spot on EV's and hunting. Keep up the great work from Wolf Mountain.
Man, I wish those of us in the western states could call a fire less than a thousand acres a "big" fire. I love Utah but really wish it was less of a desert. Keep bringing us that rain camping!
It honestly does not matter where you film your content will always be awesome. With the direction the world is at right now you will be safer there. You never know what you will stumble up on. With the weather is so unpredictable you always have your shed to take cover in. You should have a tornado shelter up there. That would make awesome content.
You’re so jolly! Always upbeat with a smile on your face. 👍🏻
Rain and coffee... Those are the best part of the adventure.
Absolutely love the music played in your video! It's actually my type of music. I think you should have it for your videos. It's very soothing and relaxing.
I appreciate being able to hike and camp vicariously through you while I recover from rotator cuff surgery.
Luke is the best, most honest and most tested review of any gear channel hands down. Never stop Luke🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
You are one of the VERY few people that can make a 45-minute video interesting, thank-you.👍👍
Hollywood goes alright
One reason I dig Luke's channel is that he can go from reviewing an ~700$ tent set-up to a video with just a bigass tarp. 👍
Yep he sure is a sellout to other affiliate marketing to sell products.
