Come to Sainsbury's everyone! We're the GREEDIEST and MOST DESPERATE food retailer you'll find! We're legendary for our nonsensical daily mark-downs! (e.g. £4.50 reduced to £4.40... as if one price is too much and the other isn't?!) We've lately surpassed ourselves though with one item : a bar of ordinary Lindt chocolate. For a few years now it's alternated between £2.55 and (very occasionally) £1.95. Never any price inbetween, mindst. Even in the throes of a boiling summer, when it's melted and turned to kak, then solidified, it's still £2.55. Until this morning, that is..... £3.00! We decided to give it an 18% increase overnight! No other chocolate has gone up, not even other Lindt bars. If anyone complains, we'll just say that the Swiss exchange rate is to blame. Joe Public will be none the wiser!

IDK about Sainsbury's but since 2020 Morrisons have been awful for greed. Price rises blamed on energy prices, not one supermarket lowered their prices last year. Price gouging everywhere. Eggs everywhere should be cheap, there's no "bird flu" only expensive egg prices, but chickens are not an issue...funny that.

My Local is being shoplifted multiple times a day. I wrote to sainsbury's about security and got zero response. Do you think they will be absorbing the costs into their profit margin or raising prices to compensate? There are also safety issues to the staff and customers. No police and no security staff. Profits first. welcome to Britain. Thanks Sainsbury's, for your social conscience.

I've officially stopped going to Sainsbury's as from January 2024. I'm so done with your segregation policy of having different prices for those who have your coveted "loyalty" card and those who don't. I'm not surrendering my personal data for you to spy on my spending habits, so it's exclusively Aldi/Lidl for me now, and they have equally good quality groceries. You wanted to punish me for not having your loyalty card by charging me more? Well, I'm punishing you by refusing to shop at Sainsbury's altogether, that's thousands of pounds each year revenue lost, see how you like it. That's my version of segregation.
Did I just hear you saying that you don't care? Neither do I! 🙋🏼‍♂️
Win-win. You keep your unsold crap, I'll keep my money. Awesome equilibrium. ⚖

@@user-hx3ko7vj4y "Loyalty" and "supermarket" is a bizzare match of words, and it works one way only. We supposed to be loyal to some particular supermarket, and they will treat us to ever-increasing prices and shrinkflation. And spy on us whilst at that.
The nerve of these people is simply breathtaking. 🤔

Yeah, if you live on a budget you don't shop at Sainsbury's. If you shop at M&S or Waitrose you have more money than sense or like using the bags to show off to people. My local because I can't travel is Morrisons not known for good pricing. Total scumbags last few years I'll add. Everyone knows ASDA or Tescos are the big chains for price, I've mentioned so far. Everyone knows if Lidl or Aldi are near you, is where to shop.
