They are collecting data on our shopping habits because they finally have the technology in the form of super computers and algorithms to sort the date and make predictions with it. They are creating a type 1 digital economy and all the worlds companies are forced to get on board or lose out on investment from the big 4.

This practice is rightfully being investigated by regulators. The “nectar card price” which you now have on most of your products is what used to be the normal price. The new no nectar price is a vastly inflated price that was NEVER charged before. Basically you’re forcing people to use the loyalty card or you pay a penalty. How long before you start charging a fee for the special nectar card club?
Not much on Ofer at Sainsbury’s for Xmas , butter prices ave rocketed , 100% up on lt year ,,Pringles up 100% on last year …even at nectar prices they are to expensive.Did a shop at Lidl and same shop at Sainsbury’s, I won’t itemise them but on 20 items there was a £15 difference..sick of these profit mongering supermarkets ….petrol over priced and more and more tax on everything we earn and buy …
Everyone check your sainsbury's receipt they are not discounting all the nectar deductions in Lancaster, made complaints, MP sent them a letter, they didn't respond, supermarket ombudsman GCA getting involved now
Why not just put the prices down for everyone? Sainsbury’s is astonishingly expensive compared to Lidl and for what- Sainsbury’s quality and service is mediocre at best.
Cos that wouldnt make them as much money. Nectar gives them a bunch of marketing information which is usefull for selling people as much as possible for maximum profit.
Without nectar sainsburys is now more pricey than waitrose and for what tbh its not like sianburys is the most amazing place to shop or has good customer service however I still shop in sainburys sometimes
