You can switch to auto-pickup grass and wood in the same manner as Minecraft does. Wait for the DIalog to hold "e" to appear when you hoover over grass or wood. Now press and hold "e" and now while still holding "e" press "Tab". While in the "Tab"-menu (other menues i did not try), release "e" inside the menu". Daaang, I have nearly 400 hours in this game and I didn't expect to learn so much new stuff. I didn't know about the power poles, how to copy recipes with a short cut, the conveyor lift height, swapping wall types (always deleted my walls when I wanted to replace them with windows lol), and mass dismantle for a specific type (I had heard about that one before but never found out how to do it). Thank you!
Nice collection of tips. I "knew" all of them but in all fairness I only learned about adding a new pole to power lines and colorizing supporting the multi select toggle one in the last couple days on other folks' videos. I like how you just got right to it, told us the things, and didn't waste any time. That earned you a sub. :)
There are so many great tips in there! The one for picking leave is so life-changing! Also, the tip to add a key-bind to delete one type is gonna be so useful, I've deleted some stuff so far away sometimes without even noticing it... and yeah clipping is UNACCEPTABLE!
What I do is bind that function to the same key as the delete key. That way it's always active when I delete. It does mean that I can't delete different kinds of items at once, but I hardly ever want to do that anyway.
I've played this game basically since it came out and I learned SEVERAL things here that I didn't know, and it makes the game a lot more enjoyable. Thanks! Great to-the-point video.
I think this is one of the only tip video Ive seen that isnt talking over the same 5 things repeatedly to stretch to ad time and tells you things that are actually useful rather than things you learn in the tutorial or figure out in the first 10 minutes or so

Addition to tip25, hold ctrl+shift and move an item to the recycle bin. It will delete all other items of the same type as well. Good for clearing out a storage container if you don't want the items.
@@zimeon why wouldn't it be worth it? Every point counts and the faster you get to sinking, the faster you can rack up points, plus you can just hook up the container to a sink and go about doing something else. It sure is faster to just delete them, but its also less efficient usage of resources
@@Arterexius one reason to not sink would be low power, but tbh even then I'd just spaghetti to a temp storage and then sink later when I had enough power. Some early points to one of the sets of catwalks and a few wall/foundation options can be a real QoL improvement of the early game.
omg thank you so much. i finally decided to give it a try after it sitting in my library for more than a year and now im hooked. the tips were just what i needed

@@spectrumdad_ thanks. I am directly copying your production lines in the ongoing series. Ive played since the game came out but always got stuck due to a lack of not knowing how much to produce of everything
@@MathiasBronnes another tip I usually do is figure out a belt worth. So let’s say the reinforced iron plate take about a 120 belt of iron ore to produce 10/min.
