      @@Auntymeful It depends on the size of the paper cup. You can get roughly about 10-20 pieces of cupcakes.

    CUPCAKE
    1. 180 gr unsalted butter & 240 gr sugar, mix until pale.
    2. Add 3 eggs, 1tbs pandan paste, 300gr cake flour, 1 tbs baking powder, 1tbs salt, and 180ml coconut milk
    3. Bake at 180° for 15 min
    FILING
    200gr brown sugar, 60ml water, 2 pandan leaves, 1tbs salt, 45ml butter, 60 ml coconut milk
    TOPPING
    1. 80gr sugar & 20ml water, boil it till 116°
    2. Add 2 eggwhites, 40gr sugar, syrup, 200gr unsalted butter.

      Thank you for this Bernadetha. However, all the tbsp (tablespoon) measurements that you have indicated should be tsp (teaspoon) instead, as per the recipe indicated in the video:)

      just Yana Oh you mean you haven’t tried it yet? I’ve stopped using cake flour for cupcakes. I find the texture is not what I like. I simply used GP flour. I prefer making SMBC than Italian. I’ve used the gula Melaka in my SMBC instead. Hope that helps.

    Hi, tried making them today and they turned out really well. I only find them to be a tad too sweet so will probably reduce the sugar for both the cupcake and buttercream next time around. Great job 👏🏽

    Hi Whisk n Fold - If I need to bake into 1 whole cake, how do I make the recipe ? Shall I follow the same cupcake recipe ? And for the inner filling, what shall I use to make the Gula Melaka filling thicker instead of runny liquid ? Do you put in the Gula Melaka filling into the hole (cup cake) after it's cupcake is cooled down ?

    This is very similar to Indonesian dessert. But the name is not ondeh-ondeh, it's called klepon cake. In Indonesia ondeh-ondeh is traditional snack that is made of glutinous flour filled with red bean paste 😁 but those cupcakes look delicate, made me drooling 🤤

    Hi, looks so good, need your advice, instead of the Pandan paste, would want to use use Pandan leaves to extract the Pandan juice, may I know how many ml of the juice shd I use? Thanks and awaiting your reply

      You can try adding in 1 tablespoon of fresh pandan juice but depending on how concentrated your juice is, it might not be as strong as the essence. Adding too much juice may alter the consistency of the cake though

      No, you add it soon after it reaches the right temperature

      Try whipping the meringue a little more so that it's just before stiff peaks before adding in the sugar. Also, you must add the hot sugar slowly in a thin stream otherwise it might overcook the egg whites. Lastly, make sure there's no egg yolk or any fat in the mixing bowl cos that can cause your meringue to collapse. Hope it helps!

      Cake flour is finer than plain flour but if you can't find it you can use plain flour too

    How is the sweetness of this cake? As 180g of butter vs 240g of sugar. Or the taste turn out is just nice type? Between what is cake flour? Thks

      To us the sweetness is just right, but everyone's definition of sweet is different so I recommend to just try it for yourself. Cake flour is a lower protein flour than all purpose flour, but if you can't find it all purpose or plain flour is fine too
