One day when the pool is finished and you are floating around, swimming laps or enjoying cocktails with friends; you will look around and say, “we did it!”! ❤
It will be so lovely once it’s done, and you will forget( in time) the horrors it involved…Hope you get a real run of good weather so you can motor on! ❤️
Sorry I missed the chat was out. Never ending rain for you must be frustrating . Especially as you want to get the wall finished.Loved watching as always guys😘
Not sure how your new plan is going to look but understand how fed up with it you are. Natural pools do get nasties in if not filtered and chlorinated so think you will just have to admire your handiwork. Great job so far . Fingers crossed the rain stops so you can finish. X
Not to judge but shouldn't you have a plum line to keep the blocks in a straight line and a level monitoring if the blocks are level from block to block?
Boys, build a tent over the pool so you’ll be shaded and can continue working in the rain… a rough structure is all you need with tarpaulin… just me 2cents 😅
🇨🇦 I decided to subscribe. I think it was Jolyon’s saucy grin, I laughed when he saying he wants to lose weight and then bought a big bar of chocolate 😂then Chris’s frustration with the pool that he just wanted to put it all off and sleep in😅 poor guy lol. Honestly though that is hard work with just the two of you. I like the look of your chateau, is that an orangery? at the front original to the Chateau?
Welcome on board!!! Haha guilty as charged!! We are getting there slowly. Hopefully this summer it will be ready for the rains. Orangery is at the front that’s right, it was originally all glass including the ceiling but it got to hot so the previous owner insulted and covered the glass ceiling
Yes the plants will go on banks out side the main walls. The plans we went of said it needed to be deep to ensure natural convection currents would provide enough circulation of the water
Depending if u on town water and no Chorines in the water u still can fill it up using a hose . Otherwise u will be waiting until 2025 or 2026 to use it . Its going to be good and most times ponds still get to have there own ecosystem. Check out this channel they have there own pool like yours and just may help with ideas . U could still brick up the higher sides later on anyhow see how they have theres . MappertonLive ..
Frankly, I blame the parents for giving Lego as Christmas presents. It inspires the young mind and encourages this sort of activity in the adult. Should be banned!!! In the meantime I’m greatly impressed by your positive attitude to this project 😊

So true!
The determination is definitely there, regrettably so are the showers, its hard dirty work but the rewards will make it all worthwhile 😊
Thanks Cheryl, we’ll get there in the end and hopefully the finished result will be amazing

Thanks Rita, hope so too!
Bravo boys! Your persistence and fortitude is admirable. 😊
Thank you! 😀
The pool is coming along great, persevere, and it will be done.
Thanks Tracy!
Can’t wait to see the end result it will be amazing!! ❤
Thanks

These are the times that having a few of those large blue tarps would come in real handy.
You will be so happy and fulfilled when the pool can be enjoyed. Hard work helps you stay in the present. Good job!!
Thanks so much!

Thanks Annette. Catch you on the next one!

What a shame the weather wasn’t on your side. Nevermind, you got a bit more done on the pool wall 👍
Yes slow steps forward are progress nevertheless!
Not to judge but shouldn't you have a plum line to keep the blocks in a straight line and a level monitoring if the blocks are level from block to block?
Yes probably. We used one for the bottom row but then just went off the row below after that
sorry i missed your chat ,let's hope the weather improves 🤞
No worries Kath. We can Catch up soon!

Hopefully only good weather now but great idea 🎉

I am puzzled by your discussion about completion dates. Chris talked about having it done by the summer of 2024, which only weeks away?
Haha Chris was over optimistic but hopefully the bulk will be done this summer
Can you rent a canopy or tent to cover your pool while you build? ❤
I think it’d probably be a bit expensive but it’s a nice idea
will you put plants there? What kind of natural pool will be so deep?
Yes the plants will go on banks out side the main walls. The plans we went of said it needed to be deep to ensure natural convection currents would provide enough circulation of the water
@@chateautroiscloches ok thank you for answer
So how deep is that pool? 7 feet or less?
Now it’s about 2m deep
how big is that pool, it looks small on You Tube
it’s 10 m by 6 m. It feels big to us! 😅
Are you building a swimming pool , or an extremely deep pool for plants and fish?
It’s a natural pool which will have plants in etc but hopefully we’ll be able to swim in it if it works as planned!

Hahaha yes Lego and mechano might have a lot to answer for!
You should hire some burly fellows to finish this work. More entertaining.
Sadly I think that’s outside of our budget but I like the idea of watching others finishing it while I sip a cocktail watching on!
