    Your reluctance to continue and finish the pit of despair shows🤣
    I’m sure it will look fabulous when finished. Keep on keeping on. X

    Sheesh. What a workout! You do realize criminals were sentenced to easier jobs than that. But at least you're seeing progress again. This will be the most wonderful pool ever ...when its done. Gotta say, your chateau grounds are gorgeous in the spring

      We have already had many. Trying to enjoy it as we go along. Sometimes a challenge but it’s important to enjoy the journey as well as focusing on the end point!

    I would add horizontal rebar elements in the space between the two wall segments, to give the structure extra strength.

      Thanks we did. It's one of the reasons it took so long

    You can buy rounded safety caps to put on the ends/tops of those metal rods.

      We resorted to plastic milk bottles in the end that did the trick

    If I can ask, why did you make the pool so deep? Unless you’re putting in a diving board you definitely don’t need a pool that deep for swimming in. And the water will be much colder the further down you go. Will you put in a solar pool heater?

    • @chateautroiscloches
      @chateautroiscloches  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Long story! But it has to be 2m deep all over in the main body so you create natural thermal currents or something. But admittedly we went deeper than that by accident in our haste with the digger.

    • @chateautroiscloches
      @chateautroiscloches  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It needs to be 2 meters deep to ensure there are enough convection currents to ensure that the water circulates to the plant bedding area which cleans the water. The liner is black and we'll line it with some insulation too which will help keep it slightly warm but it can't be too warm for the plants either.

    i dread to think how much concrete you are getting through…bravo stick with it……..
