Dressing room transformed into Luxury bedroom at Château Trois Cloches

In this video, Chris took some time out from working on our outdoor projects and completely transformed a dressing room into a luxury super king sized bedroom with more purchases from Brocantes but also some homemade or upcycled features. The Fitzrovia paint kindly gifted by ‪@mylandspaints9105‬ gives the room a sublime and luxurious ambiance which was perfectly offset by curtains from Maison du Monde and the fabric Chris found to upholster the bedhead. Unfortunately we lost some videos after a phone was stolen, including footage of Chris upholstering the bedhead but you get to see the finished result which is stunning!

I definitely prefer the tapestry above the bed. Save all those smaller gold-framed artwork for somewhere else like a reading nook in a pleaseantly designed "random" look.

Thanks so much. Yes we plan to do a load of how to vids but will probably be a couple of months out. Chris actually used wood varnish with a tiny bit of stain to age prints that we just ordered to size online.

NEVER FORGET every chateau NEEDS a RED ROOM!!! Now you have to go for the right red, nothing too fiery-orangey unless you wan't to attract some violent people when they get drunk. A bold red with a slight blue undertone, or true RED. Only 5% of men can even see the difference between red hues so ask a female sales woman if neither of you have an artists eye, even then many women are lacking in color perceptions awareness as well...think of a Christmas RED or a red lipstick...Marc Jacobs Dashing is a great color as is Chanel's Gabrielle...they are intense enough to be considered a dark color but daring enough and sexy so the room won't need to be over lit and make the inhabitants look wane and sallow....The right red will make everyone's teeth look WHITE!!!!!...and cheeks rosy, yes, all 4.

The fireplace in the pink room is probably a bit small for a log burner but we'd like to put a working one in the main bedroom. We love log burners!

Your bedside lamps are way too small I feel. Is that choice a British thing cause so many Brits do it. Scale of decor makes or breaks a room.

Very hard to find matching lamps that are affordable and work well. Much bigger though and they’d be prone to falling off the bedside tables
