  • Repair damaged concrete foundations.
Folks, we are located in Oakland, CA.
Howdy Folks, all the basic tools we use and recommend on Amazon's website.

Howdy folks, you are witnessing the effects of master nature in this video; tip, Don’t plant the mighty redwood tree too close to homes or buildings, as their roots are a force of nature that cannot be contained.
Have I seen worse damage from redwood roots? You betcha.
We pressured-washed the dirt, dust, and growth away from the existing but beat-up cement concrete foundation.
Then, a cement adhesive was applied over all the indented foundations and existing cement stucco.
Next, we fastened or attached two various galvanized stucco mesh metals, thus providing you with two alternative methods of metal mesh wire to choose from if you consider doing this.
We explained in the video alternative cement stucco that can be used as an alternative to what we did.
Or you can pay the cost of tearing down the wall and foundation, engineering it, adding two feet of new concrete then rebuilding the wall.
We corrected or added cement at a fraction of what it would cost to tear down and rebuild it.
Your walls or home, you’re choice.
My brother Lou usually mixes. However, Jason is a plasterer and knows the exact amount of cement accelerators to add to each bucket, so we can get this done properly.
Adding stucco or cement accelerators takes a lot of practice that usually only an experienced plaster would understand.
We're using 690 BMI stucco with fibers and adding some Lumnite accelerators to increase the set time. Why this stucco. It flexes, thus when these below-the-ground roots deteriorate, the hair lining won't be as bad.

Have you any thoughts on the bags of "Sand And Topping Mix" quickqrete? We NEVER have stucco mixes and my next one is way too big for rapid sets ($$$$) .. The Topping says it can go to 2 inches... i mean , ive used plain S mortar several times..im assuming its just a difference in sand grain, and amount of portland thats the only difference in all of these pre mixed bags ehh??Thanks so much by the way, you turned me on to the green float which is a GODSEND... Again Thank u sir

    • @StuccoPlastering

For topping or what we call finish coats, We prefer finish stucco such as La Habra , Western, Carsons, BMI, etc. If your looking for a slower set same day stucco than Rapid Set which does indeed set fast, Around 15 to 30 minutes. Try HD's Quikrete or Sakrete's same day stucco, the coats set in about 45 to 70 minutes depending on the weather.👨🏻‍🔬
