@@ShreedharaKedilaya Good to hear.. There are many good movies in all languages. In Kannada "Shankara bharanam" is my all time favourite n Malayalam, 'Yotha', I also loved 'Children of heaven n Turtles can fly". Seventh seal is another classic. But Nadodikatu is an enjoyable movie.

All this will not prevent us from disagreeing with some of his views like his quip “who is a keezhalan?”. He is one of our best social critics. So he cannot say he doesn’t know who is a keezhalan. The interviewer also must be appreciated. It is not easy to interview a star. Interviewers prepare a great deal but the stars can take them down most easily, using their stardom. Our stars and public personalities hardly face critical interviewers and to that extent they are ‘spoiled’. In Malayalam, Britas and Jhony are two moderately (and only very moderately) probing interviewers. Most of the time, our audience do not appreciate them because of their false sense of being small before a big personality. Interviewers develop their own style. Sreekanthan Nair can ask tough questions in a more appealing way than Johny’s rather scholarly style. Britas can be sometimes doting and sometimes rather tough. Anyway, Srinivasan is the star of those who think and enjoy realistic social critique, expressed in a rather satirical style. Who can forget his portrayal of Thalathil Dineshan and Vijayan, both on paper and on screen!

SREENIVASAN is my fellow Kannur native. Huge respect for him. As for Mohanlal, he started off doing repulsive negative roles. However, along the way, if he decided that this is not my thing, how can he be criticized for that?? It's his take absolutely, what to do and what not to do.
