My younger boys and I went walking around and found our old town dump. We were finding bottles and old tools then. The best find was a old brass case that said umc no. 12 we were not prepared with shovels and picks but we will be next time

I remember thinking that as soon as I got back to being able to walk I'd go metal detecting....I'm almost there and excited to get out and metal detect! I've learned a lot from watching you about getting your settings good, ground balancing, how to look for good spots to metal detect. Thanks for teaching on your adventures!! I watch your videos every time you post!! Thank you for keeping me motivated!!
Little "dumbbell" lead "sinker thing", is slingshot ammo, I use an old mould to make mine. They cast in strips of 6 and you can cut them separate or like I do leave them doubles. They are very accurate. Now you know everything....Enjoy your Videos.
Nice hunt Beau, Moxie was started up in Lisbon, Maine. Each year they have the Moxie festival :) Happy hunting :) yup those smaller dome bells are phone bells. I find many in my river.
That piece you found with the windings and the one little bell goes on the inside of a payphone. Was missing one of the Bells. Payphone ringer. Unfortunately when they get stolen they end up in ponds rivers and creeks
I’ve seen eel tail catfish here in Australia make nests like that and they get a bit cranky when you get too close. Thanks for the great content you provide. I love seeing the history and natural wonders.

That bowl thing that you found look like it could be a water separator for a Diesel engine. I might be wrong. The bell thing would have a second one next to it and farmers would mount them on the outside of their homes so they could hear when the phone rang.

Hi Chiggs, I've been watching your videos for years now. I live in a 200 year old farm house in Ohio and the item you found in the river could possibly be an old door bell. I still have an old door bell similar to the item you found in the river, that still works. It does use a small electrical currant to work. It sounds like an old fashion fire alarm when it rings.

I thought it looked like the blade from an Oster hair trimmer. When they came out, about 1972, there was only one screw to hold the blade on. Blade came loose. Many unhappy barbers. Changed to two screws. Happy barbers. Happy salesman.

The bell its out of an old dial phone (1-0) I have seen you find these before, not sure why they were pulled from the phone, then I now remember with the upgrade of the phone system back in the day the ringers were wound for the party line, so maybe these were the leftovers of the upgrades.

Boy there sure is a lot of algae. Maybe look into wearing some chest waders to avoid having leeches attach to your legs. Here, in Wisconsin, a person would likely have at least two leeches on them in the time it takes to film an episode. After that last civil war bullet I think I saw a button with an anchor on it off the tip of your finger at time stamp 19:14. Anyway good hunt!

The bell item looks very much like an old doorbell mechanism that was in an old house we used to own.
Last time I saw a bell with that kind of get up on it it was an old door bell. But it could certainly be all most anything.

That part near the end (with the 2 holes) was a choke blade or throttle blade off a small engine carburetor ....

I think it's a doorbell. You turn a small crank outside the door to send an electrical charge in to the bells.
