I'm pretty sure that Chigg could find those mini balls in his bathtub water! But I guess there's simply an abundance of artifacts just waiting to be found by the diligent and patient, strategically looking.

It’s just awesome to think the last person to pick up those mini balls were the soldiers. And now you’re holding them in your hand. History is awesome.
I know you dont see as well as the camera underwater but omg chigg starting at 7:59 when you were fanning the hole there was a really nice bright white spear point sticking edge up out of the mud, first you put the pinpointer right on it then you even grabbed it right in the middle of your palm with a handful of gravel. Last seen at 8:33 laying tip down under the darker rock on the right side of the screen, you may or may not have broken it and what appears to be the tip is laying just to the right of that just under what is either some kind of long thin bone or a twig. If you pause at 8:32-33 you can clearly see that the rear seems to have a boat tail design similar to a Folsom, not saying that’s what it was but it does look to be on the larger side of points.
If I ever find a civil war bullet it Washington State (yeah right) I’ll be pretty well educated in what I have. 😆 But I love listening to people who are fountains of all kinds of information. I enjoy the off the cuff info on turtles, plants, bugs, balls of snakes 😆, etc. Thank you for teaching so many things.
Beau- PLEASE practice water safety by wearing a life vest. There has been many good swimmers lately who have drowned because they failed to wear a life vest. Set a good example for the folks!!
That last bullet you dug almost looked like a Whitworth although they're hexagonal and I don't think yours was. I didn't see it in the wrap up...hmmm. Some kind of sharpshooter's round though I think. Nice finds!

There were some breech loaders, primarily in the North, but they were comparatively rare, even during the closing days of the war.
