I'm loving this series, I'm watching it half because of the van, and half because of your accent. As a fellow Brummie who now lives in the US, it's nice to hear a familiar sounding voice!
@@PilgrimPods I lived in NY for 12 years, but recently moved to Wisconsin. This country is absolutely vast compared to the UK. Perfect for a camper van!
I agree a cracking job. Very well thought out. I like your approach the the build. Very methodical Craig. Hope you enjoy soon. Lets see some videos of the travels. Many Than you for all your efforts and lessons.
Hey mate, apologies for the late reply. I reckon I'll record the maiden voyage and probably knock the videos on the head. As always, thanks for taking the time to check the video out. 🙂🍻
@@PilgrimPods I don't know, once we got the bed in we slowed down and started using it for trips. I've done the heater though, under the driver seat. Essential for our last few trips away.
Absolutely first class video I have thought of actually buying lightweight laminate boards from a company they do seem very very expensive this is now open my eyes towards the possibility of trying to make myself thank you for the video also the start of an electric one where you installed Your first fix even though I’ve been in the building trade all my life it’s still something that I’ve never done on the electrics yet but it’s in the open my eyes thank you Brian From Beswick Manchester
Brilliant idiots guide to simplicity👍👍. I'm having nightmare with a fully windowed sprinter bus and not a flat 90deg surface in sightand the cupboards were melting my brain.
That was the plan but the pandemic put a stop to that. Just been building it in my spare time. Mattress has been ordered so once that arrives I'll use the van whilst finishing it off.
Why don't you put s strong magnet under the handle and another aligned on the roof to hold them up to the roof when wanting to stay open and grab things hands free... Or cupboard gas struts i guess
Looking realy good now. It is really getting a personality/vibe thingy. I am definitely copying the showertrim idea. R U gonna use same trim on kitchen and any benches?
Go for it! Yeah, any corner profiles on the low level units will definitely have shower trim there too as it turned out so well! Best of luck with your own mate!

Oh right! Where abouts in the States are you? Why would anyone ever want to leave Brum!? 😄

Good to see you back online. Cupboards look fab.
Glad you like them! Thanks Richard.
I like the use of the shower trim. Looks like a factory job. Cabinet making not easy!
Very nice indeed and love the finish.
Great job Craig, glad to see you back
Thanks Francis. Will soon be finished now!
That’s a cracking job they turned out great, it won’t be long until I have to tackle the same task!
Good luck with your own mate!

That shower trim is absolute genius. Definitely stealing that idea for my own van 👍👍
You should!
Nice, it's great that you are building the same van in the same style as me and you're slightly ahead so I can get some good pointers.
You'll soon overtake me no doubt!

@@mattt1974UK yeah Scarl keeps asking when I'm going to fit the heater!
Great channel glad to see your back, i am taking some great ideas and advice worth its weight in gold
Glad at least one person has found some use from them! 😄👍
You have really done a fantastic job there; jigsawing is not an easy task!
Cheers! It's not 100% straight in places close up but we call it character!
That was a great idea to use the showertrim!
Yeah, it honestly turned out so much better than I thought it was going to. I'll incorporate it into our kitchen unit too.
Great to see you back. Fantastic job of your cupboards too 👏🏻 👍🏻
Thanks Ash.

Made a fantastic job mate...
Brother you r back!!. Waiting from months for your video
Oh mate, sorry to keep you waiting!
great job Craig.
Cheers Lee. 🍻
Nice and simple, thanks.
Well thought out ideal for your plan for clothes storage and light weight items. They don’t need to be over engineered but simply securely fixed. 👍✅✅
Thanks Andrew, glad you agree!
Great job.
Great watch thanks and giving us some good ideas thanks
You're welcome! Thanks for checking the video out.

Thank you for this video. Super!
Can you remember where you got the shower trim from ? Hoping to shave 1mm of 12mm ply so that it’ll fit !
Nice job. My covid build is now at three years and still work in progress. 🙄
Hi Craig just trying to find the shower trim you used can’t find that type where did you get it please?
Ordered it from eBay. Can't recall if I left a link in the description sorry.
Looking good 👍 when u painted it how many tins did you use ?
Thanks. Less than one 2.5 litre tin.
Just let you know painting hammerite onto Aluminium only lasts so long. Even hammerite recommends etch primer first 👍😉
How's the cabinet now? Is it holding well?
Still up! 😊
Is the van in use while you build out the interior
That was the plan but the pandemic put a stop to that. Just been building it in my spare time. Mattress has been ordered so once that arrives I'll use the van whilst finishing it off.
Long time no see
Indeed! Nearly there...

Something definitely to think about! Aim of the game was budget though hence leaving them off for the time being. 🙂
