This model with the diesel is perfect!
I’ve had my 2024 ZR2 DuraMax now 1 month, 2500 miles. Averaging 21 MPG all around driving. I traded in 2023 ZR2 6.2L with 45K all around was 15 MPG. Diesel is $0.50/gal cheaper than 93 premium unleaded 9-24. I had no issues with 2023, nor so far on 2024. Great trucks! I just like economics of diesel for me!
Really do like it. Also, Raptor interiors are so bleh for a $90k truck compared to this. Just wish these came with an option for factory 35's.
Ben the diesel engine is now the standard for the ZR2 you have to pay extra for the 6.2 v8
Just bought this truck in the silver metallic. I had not intended to buy a new truck since I had a 2021 ford f-150 platinum. It just caught my eye at the dealership and after driving it I knew it was the truck for me. Really enjoy driving it and I am getting incredible gas mileage. My only maybe regret is not getting the black truck. I keep going back on forth on my color choice. I ended up with the silver metallic because of the contrast but man the all black looks good.
unless you park in a garage black is a nightmare to keep clean.
black is a terrible color unless it's a garage queen.
I would buy this tomorrow if it was so crazy expensive. This is the perfect truck to me
Unlike the Raptor, you're less likely to get hit with BS dealer markups on the ZR2.
That diesel actually sounds pretty good.
Super nice truck.
$74,000 is offensive.
A Raptor is $90,000. I’ll take the ZR2 with a more luxurious interior and better tech for $200, Alex.
The trail boss is 67
@@calebniederhofer6529 the attention to detail, materials and build quality are all better from what I’ve seen. ZR2 has a nicer dash and interior layout that feels better put together and it feels more upscale especially when considering the differences in tech and software that *gm* has been using compared to what the Fords are running.
@@calebniederhofer6529 you’re talking about GM quality in the last 10 years and I’m talking about *gm’s* quality on the 2024 ZR2. That’s the difference. Ford does not offer better build quality than *gm* today, that’s for sure.
@@calebniederhofer6529 which *gm* model has gotten worse in quality over the last 10 years? Can you name it? You’re clearly biased and a bit delusional towards Ford who has more recalls than the sum of every *gm* brand put together.
*gm* has tech bugs just like anyone who is pushing the envelope in tech. Who else is investing in their own infotainment UX and partnering directly with Google to create a bespoke system? Certainly not Ford, but they also are plagued with electronic issues as are the Jeeps and RAMs. Do I need to remind you of the Aviators and Explorers Ford had to buy back because customers felt unsafe?
Insane Chevy Ben !! 🤍🤍
Eats Raptors for Breakfast...that's a helluva stretch. With that said, it is a great truck.
Great truck, the ZR2 with the diesel is just about perfect. 22+ mpg and very capable offroad. Better mileage than most mid sized trucks. A bit overpriced, but unlike Raptors and TRXs, dealers will move them for well under invoice.
Like always good reviews Ben... will definitely pick the ZR2 over Ford and Ram especially now that it comes with a diesel.
will wait and see if prices and interest rates come down thx again good job .... hello from Los Angeles
Same here !!
2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 ZR2 3.0L Duramax Diesel 10-Speed Automatic Crew Cab 4X4!
Haha. The 6.2l gas tows more than the 3.0l babymax. 3.0 has better mpg but maintenance costs more with def.
My LZ0 with 2200 miles just imploded.. so far the dealership has just stated that the oil is full of metal...
35’s on any Chevy Are a challenge, wheel wells suck.. I have a 2019 trailboss with a 2 inch leveling kit and still rub at full lock with 35 ‘s
Do you like this engine more than the 6.2l for the zr2?
I have both the 6.2 and 3 .0 in 2024 silverados, not zr2's. Hands down the 3.0
Find the right dealer and you can get a deal, just made a deal on one for 63k fully loaded. Plus they gave top dollar for trade and trade in allowance of 2500. Couldn’t say no, haha.
What dealership?
I hope the infotainment screen stays on and doesn't randomly turn off. Will this truck have the strobe light affect like mine? It's great when you drive down the road and the high beams go on and off for no reason. Oh, can you use the trailer brake or is that just a decoration like mine.
Raptor should have had a big displacement high performance V8 diesel engine without emissions systems. Like Banks supercharged Duramax. Mountains of torque for effortles driving, still high performance and much better mpg. Petrol engines are overrated
You don't need a 6.2 V8 in the ZR2 when you drive an LZ0. An LT4 would be a different story, but not the L87. The LZ0 diesel is so far superior.
lol 🤡
Great truck Ben
Seems kinda meh for 80 grand. Few options here and there, cosmetic toughness touches. But even Ben doesn't seem over the moon.
Yea, even Ben - a Ford and Stellantis buyer. 🙄 I’m never looking for him to be head over hills for any new *gm* product, despite how good they are and how honest and unbiased he may seem.
Was wanting zr2 diesel but think I'll end up getting high country instead with diesel and max towing package.
I bought the high country and love it
The sticker on the local one said 25 mpg on the highway
0:48 10 speed Allison?
Wranlger 392 is King 💪
First comment🎉🎉🎉
That’s awesome👍
Im sold !!!
Needs 35's badly.
And a lower geared diffs.
Ben, if Chevy eats raptors for breakfast, what's on the side?
Hash browns?
Ram trx 🫣😆
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I object, Raptors aren’t even on the menu
I can’t be the only one that is tickled by the way that *gm* continues to pay the Ford Raptor and that entire segment complete and utter dust. Lol
How much
Pretty cool till the transmission or rear end goes out or you take it in for service and the mechanic drains your oil puts the drain plug back in and tells you it's done I would not buy anything from Chevy Ford or dodge.
Duramax transmission doesn't fail they have a warranty 50k free oil change.
But can it go from 0-60 in 3.6 seconds? Don’t beat the raptor R
I went with a 2023 f-150 Azure Gray Tremor. I couldn't be happier.
needs 35's
Sounds like more lies and click bait to me
This doesn't even compete with the ranger raptor. Can haul more? 100 lbs? Nobody considering a raptor is going to change their mind and go with a regular truck because it will haul 100 lbs more. It doesn't even compete with the new IMAX Toyota trucks (power/weight Tacoma IMAX vs this? Hahaha). Also, please don't rev or hard accelerate a cold engine, and especially not a diesel. Somebody is actually going to buy that truck after you get done making your silly video. Gm makes a new model 4 cyl mid size truck and it gets 12-13.5 mpg, and they want (have the nerve to charge) $55k for one of those quickly depreciating rattle traps. I spy a company.(deservedly )struggling in the future.
Silly rabbit, this video was made for man, not you. Go cries somewhere else.
Loud & wrong. Do you at least feel better kid? *gm* and this video triggered you bad! 🤣
