In depth. Thank you.
I bought this same blacked out ZR2 about 8 weeks ago. Really impressed impressed and pleased with this truck (except is was probably 20k more than I planned on spending)
I'm between this and a new Ram Rebel. How does the power of the 3.0-liter Duramax feel? Acceleration on the tollway, etc? Also, are you happy with the Bose system?
@@jimmeth7748 3.0 is a nice engine forsure. Hemi is great also and definitely sounds better. Bose system is weak. Absolutely embarrassing for them to have there name on it. HK in the rams much better. But you get front lockers in this truck. I've had 3 ram hemi's and not one issue at all..
I'm in the same position though.. get a hemi before there gone or give this duramax a shot. It's definitely a hard decision
@@claysmurthwaite2386 Thanks for your thoughts, I appreciate it. I do like the Hurricane engine and there haven't been any major problems with them in the Wagoneers yet, but I do love the Hemi (had a 2014 for 6 years). It'll probably end up coming down to incentives - which Ram seems uninterested in!
@@jimmeth7748 I would do some online investigation on the hurricane. I've herd some power reliability issues with them. It just too early ti see how they will pan out in the long run. And for mabe 1L per 100km better fuel economy, I would take the hemi any day. I think this is why the incentives aren't that great on the 24 hemi's.. people still want them.. im definitely having a hard time deciding
Ouch
Great truck, the ZR2 with the diesel is just about perfect. 22+ mpg looks amazing and very capable offroad. Better mileage than most mid sized trucks. A bit overpriced, but unlike Raptors and TRXs, dealers will move them for well under invoice.
I have the RST and am very impressed so far. 33.2 mpg is the best I've gotten which is awesome!
Great, and super informative review! This ZR2 Silverado Diesel will be in my future. Debating between getting multiply accessories, or purchasing the Bison Package with some important accessories: 1. Technology Package, 2. Power Sunroof, 3. Rear Storage. Thanks for the review. Steve from Western Mass.
Glad it was helpful!
wow I love this video super informative
Beast of a truck.
It sure is!
good truck
I picked up the zr2 bison and love it. Got the 3.0l too and it's great. I do agree the breaks are lacking
agree 100% on the brakes - I have this truck too.
@@AndrewBeck-cq8hk agreed. Brakes are terrible on my at4x aev, but the engine is addicting to drive.
Nice review. Pls don't gloss over dealer adds. Thank you. TFS
Those dealer extras are ridiculous. $499 for tint??? And what heck is "signature plus?" Come on man!!!!
Yeah dude had me until he completely glassed over the addendum sticker like they wouldn’t suck more out of ya lol
33” tires and 2” factory lift.
How does the ZR2 compare to say same year and make diesel but say Z71 Trail Boss? What effect does selecting Max trailering pkg have on transfer case spec'd?
Can't get max tow in trail boss or zr2 unfortunately
Which motor do you like better this one or 5.3L v8 ?
The diesel is superior in my opinion
How much,now
Put Gumout every 5K to 10K miles the diesels. Def fluid is sticking inside motor
Def is injected in the exhaust. Don't know how it Could end up in the motor
I love me some Chevy trucks. But that front bumper is FUGLY!! I'D much rather the Trailboss
LOOKS REAL GETO IT WOULD BE GOOD FOR DEALING DRUGS OUT OF NICE.
35s on the Colorado but not the Silverado 🤔
