In my opinion, this Final Fantasy have the greatest OST of any FF game, it has some intense battle music again some bosses and unwinnable battles too.
I hope that with the HD remake, they don't do the same thing with the OST like they do with FF X-HD.
I'm playing this on my PSVita right now, thanks to the fan translation.
Alright people we MAY have some good news.
Sony started up a group dedicated to Third Party support on Sony playforms (mostly ports and localizations). During an interview Adam Boyes he revealed there was a VERY large list of what people want the most to come stateside and that the group is working EXTREMELY hard to get them localized. Titles included Yakuza 5 and the Yakuza Restoration spin off as well as TYPE-0.
And think about it, Next year we're getting Dangan Ronpa and Demon Gaze, a Curry themed RPG whose name escapes me and the 3DS got Senran Kagura localized. At this point, ANYTHING is possible.

@MaXxChiX They do sell AV cables for the psp, you just have to look for em. It plugs into the headphone jack and pretty much shows the display and sound through the TV.

The ps vita thing I really don't understand. Why aren't they porting it to the vita? It was originally made for PSP; it would take less work than optimising it for ps4 and Xbone.
DarkSol Sells for more on Ps4. And porting for the VITA from the PSP isn't that much easier than doing it for the ps4. Actually you could argue it's easier to port to the ps4.
Kishuy I'm not saying it needs to use the touch screen or anything. the psvita is backwards compatible isn't it? and they apparently already made it available for psvita in the japan psn store.

Great news people! AT E3, Square Enix has annoucned that Type-0 will be getting an HD Remaster for the PS4 and Xbox One and its coming to the west next year!
I'm definately getting a PS4 this year, hopefully with a Vita bundle so I can get Tales of HEarts R and Persona 4 Golden.
It does have one. Took a little while cuz the "text" is in a picture file and not really there, so it needs to be edited differently, but a project started up late last year.

Even though I have no idea what is going on in this game, it is seriously one of the best final fantasy spin-offs created, only behind crisis core.

XxWillScarletSoundxX I've been following Sky's team since day 1, and I think they did an amazing job, Also, the cast for the original Type-0 is full of A-list voice actors from Japan, so unless the dub will have an equal amount of amazing English voice actors like JYB and Nolan North, then I stick to the fan translation.

XxWillScarletSoundxX You can get some ppsspp hacks that can run games at 1080p, but you need a pretty strong computer

He actually is more of a "Debuffer" since one of his specials are cards that give status ailments.
Yes, this game has been out in Japan for a while, but it hasn't received a translation for UK and US yet. There is a demo in the JP store, or you can wait for a translation.

One of the characters that I designed has Seven's bangs, along with a hybrid of Lightning Farron's hair and Magician's Valkyria (Yugioh, don't ask), with a similar personality to the both of them. Gave Sice's hair to another character. Reworked another one of my characters to carry a scythe similar to Sice's. Yeah, Final Fantasy has a huge impact on my character designs and back stories.

you're correct in all except that they are the only ones that have a chance since the weapons and technology kingdom has a crystal jammer that makes it so they loose all of the abilities given by the crystals but the class zero students are L'cie (yes the weird XIII stuff) so they aren't affected by it. apparently the story is amazing =D
I had to play it again after the Ending to unlock extra missions and story-related cutscenes that weren't there the first time round. There was so much to do and I enjoyed it even more playing it a second time.

Same here! I love Final Fantasy XII and I have played all of them too :) I hate all these people hating on the game even though they have played it for only like an hour or haven't even played it at all. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who appreciated the grown up(barring Vann and Penelo) feel of 12 and its characters plus the awesome world of Ivalice and amazing art direction. If Agito has that feel, I'll be happy. I just hope they flesh out the characters personalities and back stories.

I just read that 1UP.com reported that multiple sources at the 2012 Tokyo Game Show mentioned that "...an English version of Type-0 was moribund in its current form".
I dont know if is true but I hope they can do it
A western version is currently in development, but has yet to be officially announced for release in North American or European territories.

@DarthEpic I've only played 13 myself, since I now lack a xbox/ps3 to play 13-2 on.But yeah, the animation is really just so beautiful. I wish they would announce more for Type-O, because from what I've read about it.. it seems like a lovely story line. We can only hope I guess, lol. ^^

@Akeina88 Technically anyone can use fire. Anyone can also use ice, lightning, etc. Ace is a long range fighter.
In the Type-0 Ultimania, it was stated that they were working on an "overseas" version. Keep your fingers crossed guys!

Saw the ending... Haven't cried this much over a video game for years, and I don't even know the characters (I know their names, but haven't played the game).
well KH is not even out yet so there's still quite a bit of hope for that. now regarding Type-0...some sources (people who worked on the game) said that the game was nearly finished. with voices and shit done. the reason they haven't localize it, however is obviously lackluster sales with both the PSP and the Vita. BUT they did tease some more Fabulla Nova Crystallis games (and yes aside from XIII) so there's some hope there =D
I completed this game twice. It's awesome! It's beyond awesome! The best FF game in years! It deserves a bigger release.

Maybe finalising the names from Verses XIII to XV, and Agito XIII to Type-0 means that it's actually going to be released soon?
@SepiRRotH89 The team is actually going do the dub version but no news for it.
i would go as far as saying this iis the best made by square since they made Square Enix.
Fun Fact: there's multiple sources saying that the english voices were done after the Japanese release. the english voices were already recorded and i think the game was mostly translated, but due to lack of sales on...well both systems the project was shelved.
in some good news they did say that the fabula nova crystallis thingy was not over even though FFXIII is done. type-0 maybe?
Similar to XIII with the l'Cie thing and crystals granting abilities but also it's own game...really interesting in playing

In fact, Final Fantasy IX (that's IX, not 9) is Hironobu Sakaguchi's favorite Final Fantasy, as stated multiple times by himself.
If you guys wanna buy/download it for your psp you can, it's not region blocked. I have it and the gameplay and story is incredible even if I don't understand a thing that's going on. I highly recommend getting it
It says that the students are Class Zero from Rubrum's Magic Academy and collectively the 'agito', elites, the best of the best and their all that's left.They also seem to be named after cards the 13 cards in a deck. I think its pretty epic, a country has fallen and all that is left are students, im assuming not everyone is trained in magic so their pretty important to winning the war .

It wasn't announced at the time of that comment. Yes, it is now 15 and is getting a release on next generation systems. I kind of figured that they couldn't get the game to work with the PS3's low power.

I am Asian can read a few Japanese (I can read the romanized katakana but not kanji) but playing this game is both bliss and agony-because of the language, you'll hav a long time discovering things and functions in the game. The visuals well everyone already know how visually appealing this game is CG Cinematics and real time graphics are really great though they toned down the blood effects and is not as exaggerated as in this trailer - playing chap 5 and still discovering how to ride a chocobo
@TheRamosOnline look for type-0 11 minutes trailer/gameplay by ign you will see alot of elemets from the past FF games coming back (examples: worldmap is back,Magitek armor(FFVI),Airships are back,Random encounters on world map,Chocobos on world map,Towns etc.)
If you didn't know they got seperated branches working on different titles of games, FF Type Zero was announced agez ago about 2008 and they changed it to become a PSP game :P They got a differenct team working on Versus 13, so they aren't really wasting any time, to be honest i am waiting for both of them to come out in English - Type 0 is already out in Japanese for some of you who doesn't know. & as for the FFVII remake i'm more happy hearing about the FFX remake comming out :)
This game,is the best FF they have made since X. People are complaining about how FF isn't like how they use to be, but this game truly goes back to the old roots of FF with the new and mixes so well. I truly cared for every single member of Class Zero. The story line is beyond amazing and deep in its structure. Those who are already saying it sucks, quit being ignorant bitches and play it. This isn't a game about lil high school kids, its about trained soldiers fighting for their people.

2. It wasn't the Disney characters they expanded on, it was the Square original characters. How would adding bonuses, fixing bugs, and new cutscenes and audio make a global release pointless? Oh wait, it wouldn't.

it came out in japan around the same time as Final Fantasy XIII-2 american release.
i believe that they are trying to do their best at making different veriaty of the games in different story lines and that they are testing some of the systems to determine what would be best used for their other new series when they make more and it would be boring if they all have the same combat system right?
E3 is just couple months away, for the Localization we can see this it will come out.
Here's my review: Very good graphics. The gameplay is real time style, and resembles ones like Crisis Core and Kingdom Hearts. 14 characters can be played. Make sure you up everyone's levels. The story seemed a little dull at the start but it got pretty serious very quickly and believe me, it was good, full of action and a nice touching ending. I recommend it to everyone.

@KittyCate105 there are ATB battle system (only faster), moogles (moogles dressing up in the usual job classes),,class zero's characters have their own different type of job classes, you can breed chocobos, an evil empire (milites empire) who wants to take over the nation/world vs the resistance group, there's a world map etc. i say, this game (type-0) is really not that different from the previous FF games. it still has that FF element into it whether you like it or not.
They're very great and subtle about their inspiration.
