I was going thru a character crisis until i decided that gnw and diddy have perfect matchup synergy so those two and maybe snake are now my mains. Dropped all my cool mains to play campy
One huge tip for playing diddy: Go for the banana in hand monkey flips. Your opponent is worried about banana in your hand so u can either throw it or go for the monkey flip grab to beat their shield or z drop aerial or wait. But doing the monkey flip when u have the banana in hand is super free conditioning and it will force your opponent to stop playing in shield so much
@@TuesdayTastic it’s the secret to diddy’s neutral. It helps you get monkey flip grab kills at ledge around 140-160 depending on rage and weight. Also adding in ledge cancel monkey flips make diddy super slippery.
My favorite thing about Diddy is his ability to bair twice off of a short hop. Used to troll my friend with it all the time lol. Least favorite thing is how I always sweat like crazy when I play him
The short list of characters that I've already played and need to make videos on is Mii Swordfighter, Random, Byleth, and I'm currently maining Fox for Supernova
Ah Diddy, definitely among the top of characters in the "if I were to play them if I only cared about gameplay" group. I gotta say, Diddy is so oppressive when someone is good. Though the amount of times I've been saved due to stuff not connecting or random SDs is massive. Playing as Diddy kinda makes me feel like I'm cheating since it's so easy for him to get hits in. Monkey flip just lets you ignore so much. Banana is absurdly good in neutral. Now the falling out of smash attacks never bothers me with Diddy because I've abused that so much fighting him so I don't really get tilted playing him. However, most other people really aren't too happy when they fight my Diddy. I don't got the crazy combos with him, so I basically win neutral a bajillion times until kill % or find a cheesy option to KO early while they don't get to play the game. I can only imagine the nuttiness if I actually took the time to learn combos with him. But alas, one of my rules to play a character is that there's something I love about the character outside of gameplay to let me play them. A very important rule because it's the one that cuts 3/4 of the roster out of whether I play them or not.
Y'all ever just realize one of your favorite youtuber has uploaded multiple days later when the video gets recommended to you and wonder if you even got a notification, only to realize that you _did_ and were just half asleep when you saw it and ignored it because you thought it was something else entirely?? Anyways, great video, can't wait for the byleth video to drop

I at least knew what I was getting into with ZSS thanks to the Marss propaganda. But Diddy caught me by surprise and slowly turned a very fun character into something that gives me heartburn. Still love Diddy, he and I have a toxic relationship now though.
Needed more OoS U Smashes. D Tilt U Smash, Banana to F Smash, F Air spacing, N Air aerial strings. Diddy is about stage control and combos. Hard to learn maybe, very rewarding to master. Most technical character in the game by far.

Seems like a strong lineup although you don't necessarily have to play campy. Those characters have the speed/tools to be aggro if needed.
Watching you miss the short cut twice in Diddy Kong Racing as a avid fan was great

He does feel like a melee character in a lot of ways. Missing your barrel angle might as well be missing a ledge dash.
