      Hey Kakarot, maybe you should try the Entry Grade RX-78-2. It's literally the cheapest Gunpla I know of, at only $7 in the US (as low as $5 in some states) the articulation is almost the same as the Revive (better shoulders, SLIGHTLY inferior elbows), and it comes with everything the Beyond Global does other than the Beam Sabers. Plus, it's so quick to build that you could do the unboxing and the review in the same video.

    Beyond Global is at least free from sticker hell compared to the Revive and Origin. It may be obviously lacking in terms of accessories and articulation beaten by Origin by a mile, but when Bandai said it's technologically advanced, they weren't joking, just overhyped it.
    I mean, have you seen any other RX-78-2 not requiring color-correcting stickers aside from the Entry Grade version which came out a few months after it? Also, a kit having almost no seamlines especially in the head unit is a plus despite your complaint in its size.

    • @supergeno128ds
      @supergeno128ds 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Wait, do you SERIOUSLY consider the Revive and Origin RX-78's to be "sticker hell?!" The Revive (not counting the head sensors) only has ONE sticker (for the crotch) and the Origin just has one additional decal for the bazooka camera. If you think thats "sticker hell" I think you're in the wrong hobby.

    you forgot about one thing that would make people buy the Beyond Global instead of the Origin version and HG Revive. Polycap deterioration. from my knowledge the Origin use Polycap in the shoulder. deadass one years later the one show in my local hobby shop has it left arm droop down because of the shield.

    • @littlelw319
      @littlelw319 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @I am Petitgguy nah, even with super glue and floor polish it won't help in case of polycap. i tried to tighten ball joint connected to the arm for HG IBO gundam frame. it still lose. they can't hold any pose at all after like 3 months.

    • @littlelw319
      @littlelw319 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @I am Petitgguy HG IBO's Gundam Frame in general is kinda bad. due to how easy it was made/engineered. i can't hold much weight and this line decided to throw so many option part onto weak ass frame, wth bandai. also usually if you don't pose that much and the kit doesn't have any heavy weight to hold onto tighten both socket and the joint will most likely work.

    • @tedhodge4830
      @tedhodge4830 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yet the revive Zaku II has no polycaps, and the secondary ball joint in the forearm is a floppy mess. Polycaps are a blessing for ball joints. Peg and swivel plastic joints are fine, but for ball joints? No. My GEP Zeta is also a mess, especially compared to any revive high grade that I own with polycaps. Both the hips and the awful all-plastic shoulder joint are cringe inducing. I've had to tighten the hips probably half a dozen times, and the shoulder joint almost broke on mine.

    I feel like you missed the point of this kit. This is a stand alone more artistic piece not a version of rx78-2 from an anime. Hence the proportions and colors. Kinda like the g40 as a stand alone piece and not meant to be like the others. Articulation wasnt better than other hg hits though.

    Mess???? Many love this kit. Though i am not hating you for your opinion. Thats your preference. I also like this. Which many liked it.

  • @maweitao
    @maweitao 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    The Origin is unquestionably better, but I really like this version. The proportions are appealing despite being more super robot than real robot. The colors are also quite nice. I’d also argue that it’s more attractive than the G40 and the aesthetics aren’t sacrificed for some extra articulation. The knees are the only odd bit because they’re too detailed compared to the rest of the design.

    • @nedinnis6752
      @nedinnis6752 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I can't agree. Most UC Gundams, especially Grandpa here, don't use human proportions. They use something a bit closer to super robot proportions. It's more appropriate for the Exia or Strike, which are lankier and designed to be more like humans.

    imo you were way too harsh on this kit. i dont normally watch your vids so take my advice with a grain of salt, but it's disappointing to see someone bash on this just because it strays about from a similar kit (thats completely different btw). i disagree with the notion that more = more in gunpla, especially the fact that most comments say "omg so bad, it doesnt come with as many accessories as the origin" which is just not the point of this kit. i can definitely feel the bias coming out of this video regardless

    • @edgelord3617
      @edgelord3617 ปีที่แล้ว

      for reference when i say "bias" i mean that since you dont like the proportions, nor what this kit focuses on (yes, they overhyped the articulation. bandai always overhypes everything though, big whoop), you decide to bash on it rather than giving an objective overview on the positives and negatives. nothing you pointed out was bad per say, but the way you worded things makes them seem 10x worse than they really are. sometimes, they're even just things that aren't to your liking rather than being a "worse" aspect. not a good review man, idk what to say

    Honestly, I prefer it over the G40. The G40 was obviously very experimental even compared to this. While it may have been even more flexible, that came at the cost of it being very fragile and the design is a major departure. Although ironically, I still like the G40 slightly more than the Age-01 in its vanilla configuration.

    I quite like the leg proportions of the Beyond Global RX-78-2, I just hate the detailing and how poorly they match the design of the rest of the kit.
    Maybe if they did something similar to the arms and chest so all of the Gundam looked creepily human the legs wouldn't have matched so poorly.

    Try Getting the Entry Grade (New)

    I can boldy claim Gundam Beyond Global is the ugliest HG RX-78-2 out there. Even compared to the unique looking G40th ver, I'd pick the latter instead.

    The main problems I have are the colors.

    Honestly, for the first time seeing this kit from its announcement I never liked it, but don't dislike it too much either. Beyond Global has no polycaps used, nice skirt joint, and nice detailing (but I prefer more plain design like MG Granddaddy 2.0 or MG Jegan). But that's it.
    Other than that, I'm VERY disliking its SEED-like torso proportion, and its legs weird proportion. I know about too many people likes detailed/too detailed kits MORE than plain kits, but I must say this. I rather pick the Origin for lot of accessories, or the Entry Grade for cheap price for custom and nice classic granddaddy's look of it

    Thighs too thick, else not bad. Too expensive

    the perfect example of over-design

    I'd happily play with my Origin or Revive Granddaddy instead of the Beyond Global. I don't dislike the design, just hating how the thighs are longer than the lower legs, and how the forearms are thicker than the shins.

    Yeah, I am not sure I understand the love this kit has been getting. Lots of over engineered parts for an RX78-2 that doesn't look right. I'd much rather have an Origin for my collection, or even just an entry grade.

      It is meant to look stylish akin to Studio TRIGGER's designs and isn't really "over-engineered"

    Yeah, also not a fan of the leg proportions. Throws the entire design off for me.

    its like the gto and thr f00 hqd q very leggy daughter and i say daughter but aside from the wide feet the proportions looks like a very athletic woman thicc thighs thin shins chest that protrudes so far out they could be hiding some bazookas under there

    Not too big of a proportions guy, but even I see what you mean with this thing. Does it wanna be thicc or lean? Seems like they couldn't make up their mind. #notarobotfetishist

    9:01 lousy excuse (Not you Kakarot-kun. the GUNPLA) that isn't realistic in the least. Id rather have a static back skirt with a bazooka on it.
    Then it would actually make decent sense
