    My oil filter for chain oil supply line is clogged. How do I clean it? I have succesfully isolated the filter from the chainsaw, but what is the best way to clean it? Water and soap or thinner?

    • @TheRustyRooster
      @TheRustyRooster  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'd suggest replacing it with a new one but if cleaning is your only option remove and clean with solvent / gas and blow out with air.

    Maybe you can help me. I have a 445 that is not oiling the bar. I have replaced everything pertaining to the pump and the oil screen inside the sump is clean. There is no adjustment for oil feed on this model. I pressurized the oil sump and it blows out where the oil tube goes free and clear. The bar oil holes are clean as is the chain guide around the bar. From what I gathered the oil sump is not vented BUT my only clue is that with the oil pump assembly completely removed, and the saw laying oil pump/clutch side down on the bench, no oil flows out of the hole where the oil hose goes - until I open the oil fill cap on top at which time it flows freely out the bottom side. My only other clue is something called a duckbill, could this be the problem?

    • @TheRustyRooster
      @TheRustyRooster  ปีที่แล้ว

      The "duck bill " acts as a vent .. could be the issue 🤔
