    Thanks for the enlightening video.
    A question. Does a model with a tattoo require property authorization from the tattoo artist?

    • @LukaAzman
      @LukaAzman  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      On iStock, tatoos are ok, no need for PR, unless the tatoo shows something copyrighted, like a Superman sign, or Mickey mouse, or similar :)

    We all know that you need a model release for each day of shooting, but what about property release. If I use the same property over and over again, do I then also need a property release of each day of shooting ? Thanks again for your good and very helpful videos

      Thank you 😁 Yes, it is the same for both, model and property releases. I know it feels stupid sometimes, but that is how it is :)

    Hello, thanks for this video. Please can you answer me ...? I think you can not upload to istock... from pc with windows..? is that correct..? its only for mac and iphone..? thank you

    • @LukaAzman
      @LukaAzman  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, of course you can! I am working on my windows PC and upload images to iStock from it.
      But when you start and sign up, I think you need to go through mobile app (IOS or Android). But when you are already a contributor, then you can upload through their online platform - PC or Mac.

    thank you for taking up the boring subject. my photo are selling at dirt cheap price at dreamstime, how could we increase the selling price? thank you!

    • @LukaAzman
      @LukaAzman  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, you can't do anything about prices, it is what it is. I know, even me, as an exclusive iStock contributor, I sometimes get only few cents for some images. The only option is to upload more images :)

      @@LukaAzman isn’t it you can make more money selling at different sites? 🧐🧐

      @LukaAzman  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MacauCheers Well, it depends. You can check my video about exclusivity, so you can see my pros and cons of being on istock compared to being in more sites: th-cam.com/video/lgrFrSEm6AQ/w-d-xo.html

    Hi mate, i need your opinion, I don't know what 4k camera a should buy and accessories as well (buget).

    • @LukaAzman
      @LukaAzman  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh, that is a tough question. It is very hard for me to talk about budget cameras, but if I was starting right now, I would go with something in the range of Nikon Z50 or Sony a6600. It really depends on what you want, how much money you are willing to spend,...

    Hey luka I'm new to stock photography, if we want to shoot a setup lifestyle shoot then the photographer should paid for the model right? How much ideally we should paid per model? Thanks for answering this silly questions

    • @LukaAzman
      @LukaAzman  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, it depends! You can shoot your friends and family, and you can do that for free. Just tell them what you are doing, and if they can pose for you, to help you to get started. Or you can do TFP, so "time for prints". So, the model gets the images, and he/she allows you to use and sell images of them. For payment, it really depends. I have been all around the world and I was paying from as low as 20$ to 300$ for a model per shoot.

    Hey Luka! Thanks a lot for your videos. You performs a really useful content. Can I use a Shutterstock's model release for iStock? I've just noticed in comments that the date of release should be the same as the date of uploading photos. I didn't know about it and uploaded files with the wrong date of release. It was the reason of my rejection(

    • @LukaAzman
      @LukaAzman  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, SS model release will be accepted on iStock! About date on the release, I think you got wrong info! There are 4 dates on MR. 1-when model signs the release, 2- when photographer signes the release, 3- when witness signes the release 4-date of shoot. Obviously, date of shoot should be the date when you shot the images, dates 1,2,3 should be on the same date, but you can upload the images whenever you like, 1 week or 1 year from that date!

    How about a photo of a public bridge, not privately owned but belonging to a city or county?

    • @LukaAzman
      @LukaAzman  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, bridges are fine, except a few of them, like Anzac bridge in Australia.

  • @bodywise007

    Good video. But. Everything today is about what you can't do. Where you can't go. How do you actually obtain releases from public building or attractions? Who would you actually approach for the Eiffel Tower as one example. Of which there are innumerable examples. Seems you would be paralyzed with paperwork over photography. A great and notable photographer once said to me all photography is an expropriation.

    • @LukaAzman
      @LukaAzman  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, probably for most buildings and attractions you won't get a release. You will just have to avoid those places in stock photography :)

    So how come there are so many TH-camrs doing reaction content to other people's videos and they never get a model or property release for any of them. Could they potentially be sued?

    • @LukaAzman
      @LukaAzman  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well, I am not sure how this works. Model and property releases are used when the images will be used commercially. This reaction stuff probably fall into "education" category, which is different I think. But I am not 100% sure :)

    my model is in spain and i am in turkey how do i make a model contract ?

    • @LukaAzman
      @LukaAzman  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, I think the only legal way is to sign the model release when you are both on the same place. But I had a situation like that, when I fu*** up something when filling a MR, and then I just filled whole MR with photographer and model info, and also my signature, I scanned it and send it to the model, and then the model printed it, signed it, scanned it and send it back to me :) But I am not totally sure if that is legally correct way. If you will do it like that, make sure you have all the emails and comuunications saved, just in case.
