Good video. Fortunately, I started back in 2006, so I've been able to keep ahead of the curve purely on volume. I still upload every day and looking forward to another great year.
Thanks for making this video Luka, it is encouraging. I have only made approx £100 from stock in the last year, but I am finally starting to see a noticeable increase in the views and downloads my images are getting so I will keep at it. Amusingly, my most downloaded image by far is just a bunch of cardboard boxes in a pile.
Thank you! Yes, sometimes the dumbest images get most of the downloads. I have a few shoots where from all the lifestyle photos from that shoot, the most downloaded image is just close up of something, or an empty space :)
John's doing okay making 40c a month, I only made 10c last month. 🤣 Seriously though, that image had only just been uploaded, so I have high hopes for it and I've made way more than that over the years. It's only just recently that I've gotten back into uploading images and getting more serious about it. I started back in 2007 and should have stuck at it over the years.
What a great video. I have been stuck in the valley of death for quite some years now, but my latest people lifestyle looking to pay off. Just need to get more of those shoots under the belt. You are a great inspiration, Luka, and I love your TH-cam videos - keep doing those, you're helping a lot of contributor ....
Oh, thank you so much!) I sell exactly 1 picture per day for about $0.33. I don't understand why there's only one. sometimes different pictures, but 1 a day.. and I assure my husband that this is not an empty exercise, that the drains should pay off over time. 😅 your video is very timely!
Well, I would never use pop up flash, because it will just look fake in my opinion. You want the light to look natural. I use video lights, because I also shoot video, and also those are not so powerful as flash. And I usually bounce it of the wall, or use a softbox. If you use flash, you should also bounce it of the wall, so it spreads the light more (unless you want a specific look), or use a softbox. But depends on which flash you are using, a lot of those flash lights are too powerful, even at lowest setting, so it does not work well together with natural light. If you use better flash, where you can set the output to very low, that can work. But I prefer video lights :)
I don't understand something, if they sell my pic. with 7 $, and they give me 15%, i should receive 1.05 $. So i sell 14 pic and i see that i have 7,43 $ in my account, so i miss something here
Well, it depends on the license model. Maybe they bought subscription, maybe they bought a package of credits, where they got more credits for less money, maybe they have some agreement with a big company which is buying 1000s of images, and they will get images cheaper,... It is quite hard to understand. You can download your royalty statement as pdf and check there.
That is really hard to say. You can have 20000 crappy photos or videos and still don't get to 500$ a mont, or you can have 1000 photos. It really depends. Also, if you have crappy keywords, but good images, nobody will find them. Also, if you upload 10000 images now, you won't sell much in first few months. So you really can't say how many images or videos should you have to reach that. But I would say with consistency you can reach that in a year or so.
Yes, of course, it is a great camera, especially for video. My brother used to have a6000 in the past, and it is was totally fine. For my taste, having a bit more megapixels would be great (I have a7iv with 33mp), and also, low light performance is much better if you have full frame camera, but I also started with Nikon d90, which only had 12mp, and low light was terrible. And a6400 is just sooooo much better than that.
Nimam prijatlov, dobesedno nimam niti enega prijatla, ker sem rajši sam, zarad tega kakšni so ljudje dan danes po srcu..ogabne pošasti. Sem totalno broke brez službe in po tem takem bom več denarja zaslužil, če vso opremo prodam kot pa z stock fotografijo. In kaj naj zdaj?
Hi there! I am a new on that! I am an amateur photographer and I am interested in stock photography. Which site do you recommend for selling my photos? I made an account on shutterstock but I learned about some recent changes on the levels and made to rethink it. Is something else that I need to know?
Well, there are many sites. I decided to only sell on iStock, but if you want to sell on more sites, I would start with iStock, Shutterstock and Adobe Stock.

That is great to hear! I wish I started back in 2006 and have the knowledge I have right now :) Probably I would be a millionaire, hehe :)

Awesome information, in photography speed light is good or pop flash with pop up diffuser is good ?

How much do you pay for your models?

Do you think sony a6400 is good enough for stock photography ?

Hey look it's discount Chris Pratt.
stock photography is dead
Stock photography is doomed by AI generated images.
Well, it will definitely change stock photography, but my opinion is it won't kill stock photography.
AI photography not real, stock photo and video still alive
Sounds like you’ve given up!
AI has in fact increased my earnings in comparison to before the AI boom.
@@WilliamTrostelPhotography interesting!
