Thank you SO much for taking the time to make this video! I'm building a PC to start recording and I love seeing how a song comes together in a mix. Extremely useful info!

Great stuff, I picked up a trick or two, will try out tonight! Running a 90s sovtek big muff pi that I am having a tough time taming for tracking in Ableton.

Hi Eric, this and your previous video have been super valuable for somebody trying to get over their apathy towards processing tracks through a DAW. Would you consider doing a video on how you add time-based effects to mixes? I hear my friends often talk about trying to get reverb just perfect, and your video makes me think it might not even be necessary. Peace!

Thanks for checking out the video! I’m glad the video is helping! I’ll keep the time-based aspect in mind! I need to make another one of these videos soon

I use Guitar Pro in the same manner. I write all my songs in guitar pro mostly for the drums, then I use the exported drum midi to run through Superior Drummer in my DAW. I even split up my shell and cymbal tracks too

I don’t know about the 2x15 but I’ve heard Steve talk about an orange 4x12 cab with specific speaker. I wish I could be more specific but I am unable. I’m sure Steve would tell you if you asked

I use the Two Notes Orange 4x12 HP8 (G12K-100) and the original Two Notes Fat Papa 2x15.

What kind of strings are you using for doom on a bass

Personally I just use heavy gauge bass strings like Ernie ball or d’addarios. Not sure the gauge, but tuning down that low on a bass can get really difficult if your stings are too light
