I did this today...hope everything keeps working well put my atf fluid and took the black plug out and just let it come out till it stopped pouring out the side then put it back on.
Thanks for sharing! Got this service coming up on our 2017 identical model, looks pretty straightforward I will do it while doing the next oil change. Take care!
That was a very well done video. I like how straightforward you presented your service procedure. My wife has the exact same model year and so I would like to know, at what recommended mileage should the transmission fluid be changed? Thanks a bunch!
Nice tutoring video. Stil have a few questions: why you left the vehicle in Neutral position and not in Parking? And watching dozens of videos, I think the overflow check is not correct. The fluid should come in a thin stream, but in your video the fluid is hardly dripping, what means it is under field.
Great video. Is this called a drain and refill? My local Hyundai dealer said I needed a transmission flush on my 2020 Santa Fe SEL AWD, which has 60K miles on it now. What is the difference? Also, what is the normal price for doing a drain and refill vs a transmission flush?
I was told to change the transmission fluid while it was cold because there's a switch in the transmission that allows fluid to come out you will get more fluid out if the transmission is cold is this correct
So I don't have a lift in my garage. Is it okay to do this same process on ramps? Obviously I'd only be able to drive up onto the ramps with the front wheels though...
@@mem3656 Thank you learned it the hard way this morning. Unscrewed the plastic cover, just found a valve block but no filter there... ( Santa Fe III DM with 2.2 diesel ). The original rubber sealing costs 70bucks from Hyundai....
This sure does beat pulling out the old Chilton's manual, I, am doing this to my wife's car, Thank you.
Thank you for your hard work on this video. Keep striving for growth and excellence in all you do.
Thank you!

Thanks, straight forward with no BS
Thank you good information I appreciate it.
Thanks man!Dealer wants way too much for this and can do myself now❤
I wish someone would already make such a great video about 2021 model
Same step if you have a 2.4 engine
@@andresutherland4306 2.5, and it is quite different. I had to remove engine air filter box to put the fluid in
@@andresutherland4306 do you know if this video is the same for the 2019 santa fe 2.4?? I need to do this on my wifes vehicle..
@@jessiesineath7702 im doing a 19 SF today and the process is the same
Thank you for video. Perfect explanation on procedures
You are welcome!
Great video thanks I will be trying it on my nieces 2017 Kia Sorento 👍
Thanks!

Great video,helps alot
Just a query, which specific oil did you use and how many litres did you use?

This is easy methodh but i filling the transmision fluid after starting the vechile N after access oil removed right
Thanks broh, You save me ok my job
Can you also use a plumber's pipe wrench to remove that screw respectfully asking
Awesome job, thanks
Good video keep them coming
i wonder if its much different for the 2019 santa fe 2.4...I need to do this for my wife's vehicle sitting at 70,000 miles

You would want to jack up the rear of the vehicle so it’s sitting as close to level as possible for checking the fluid level.
@@Tomsfoolery. Ok, thank you so much!
Another great video 👍 👍
How do you do a full flush?
He said about four quarts,, per job. Do it twice....... That should be good enough. If not satisfied with the color,,, drain it again..
ok son!
How long the funl has to be?
Get a tranny funnel. You won't have to lean over so far and hurt your back.. Pour slowly
How come no one does filter change
they dont come with filters anymore.

@@mem3656oh it certainly has a filter. But you have to remove and disassemble the transmission to change it.😢
@@mem3656 I think they do have filters as mentioned by someone else.I think it's a big job to change the filter.
👋🤝💯👍
Okay so it takes 4 quarts. Why is it necessary to warm it up and make sure?
Because as the fluid in the transmission get heated up it expands and it is going to be more than 4 quarts
There is a flow sensor valve there and it comes on when the car reaches temperature to allow fluid to flow through @@rezamousavi9986
