    Do you recommend having *both* a sync module with USB *and* a Blink subscription when using a Blink doorbell and mini cameras?

    • @TechnologyMoments
      @TechnologyMoments  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sure, if you don't mind paying monthly (I do) is much better as you'll have a constant backup. Besides, loading clips from the cloud is much faster.

    I've changed the name of my doorbell device on the Blink app and on Alexa app but Alexa still announces the long serial name of the camera. Is there another place to change the name?

    • @TechnologyMoments
      @TechnologyMoments  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is something that still happens with all smart devices. What I have opted for deleting them in both and adding them again, if name needs to be changed, do it first in the blink App and wait.

    will the doorbell pick up motion? if i just buy the doorbell itself and will it record activity? , just wanna be budget friendly!

      Unfortunately not this one. The only option initially would be the cloud storage. We have extensively tested Arenti/Laxihub cameras and you might want to take a look at this one: amzn.to/3JUz6W8

    Thanks, good video & interesting. Can this be set up in any way to use your echo show as a permanent monitor without having to record?

    • @TechnologyMoments
      @TechnologyMoments  ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately we've tried it and it is not possible. Not even with plans you get a constant streaming that is not cut off every now and then.

    hi great vid and all but
    my camera cant connect to my wifi like ive tried 100 times and it says uts wrong but im typing it correctly??
    what should i do?

    • @TechnologyMoments
      @TechnologyMoments  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, it is very probable that the problem is the WiFi frequency being used by your AP. Blink mini uses the 2.4 Ghz band to connect. If your AP or router only uses 5 GHz or has them separated, they will fail to connect. Make sure you are connected to the 2.4 GHz band when trying to set up the cam. Have a good day

    Can I connect 2 outdoor cameras and doorbell without wires to one sync module 2?
    And for Alexa I need sync module 2v

    • @TechnologyMoments
      @TechnologyMoments  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can connect as many cameras as you want without any wires. And if you use their solar panels, you'll never need them ( amzn.to/3OQ3chD ) As for the sync module 2 ( amzn.to/3CcVWot ) is always optional. You can use Alexa without it. however I strongly recommend its use as it will be your fail safe for recording... and it will make your batteries last longer.

    Does a red light suppose to light up on the doorbell and stay on AR night😊

    • @TechnologyMoments
      @TechnologyMoments  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, red light only stays lit while IR support is active, and blue ring once button is pressed. IR will be active while motion is detected but may help batteries run out. That is why we decided to try using it without batteries and the 3 volt adapter. th-cam.com/video/JiTFlN9vHfc/w-d-xo.html

    If someone is hard of hearing, they may have difficulty hearing the Blink Doorbell through the Mini video camera speaker. It's medium loud, enough for average persons, but certainly not exceptionally loud like a high quality mechanical chime. For those wanting LOUD doorbell, maybe an Alexa Dot speaker would be louder?? (not sure, I don't have an Alexa Dot speaker yet)

    • @TechnologyMoments
      @TechnologyMoments  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It actually sounds quite loud (with the Blink mini as a Chime) Actually louder than the Echo you configure as a notification device as it will respond at the current volume, being that the reason why one of my routines is setting up everyday a normal volume for each device. On the other hand in Audio Settings of you Blink Mini from the Blink Smart Home App, you can independently set the speaker volume and the bell chime volume. You might want to set it up at a higher volume. Hope it helps.

    I can not hear my doorbell, can I get a speaker for the Blink video doorbell?

    • @TechnologyMoments
      @TechnologyMoments  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can shoose various alternatives. If you have an alexa enabled speaker such as the Echo Dot (amzn.to/42wNKeM), it will sound immediately after button press. Second option is any Blink Mini (amzn.to/3TBkhfU). It will act as a digital Bell Chime. And third, the App in your Cell Phone can receive the notification once button is pressed (disable battery management of the App) I have used A couple Echo Dots and a Blink Mini and all of them have worked very good for months. The blink mini can sound pretty loud.

    There is a huge delay on my Blink doorbell. This doesn’t happen on the mini indoor. Does it only send the video clip AFTER it’s done recording the clip? I cannot see who is at the door while there are there. It is not immediate or live. By the time I can view the clip the visitor is gone.

    • @TechnologyMoments
      @TechnologyMoments  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, you shouldn't experience that and it is exactly the whole point of a video doorbell. If it is not happening with your Blink Mini, I would say it is the strength of the WiFi at the doorbell location. I assume you are using te blink sync module 2 (amzn.to/3h80Hsm) if not, I would recommend to go for it, as it is the "coordinator of such communications.

    • @TXstang347
      @TXstang347 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TechnologyMoments thanks for reply. I brought the doorbell inside next to mini and still has delay. Yes, I did get Sync 2 as well. Current on free 30 day subscription. Was going to try SD card and see if that helps but leaning towards returning all 6 Blink cams due to doorbell lag.

      @@skippy6462 I returned them and bought Eufy lol. Blink was terrible. If you’re not intending to pay the subscription it’s almost useless. Delay is 2-3x longer than the already long delay without paying Amazon.

    Is it mandatory to link app to amazon account?

    • @TechnologyMoments
      @TechnologyMoments  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Only if you wish to link it to your Alexa devices, otherwise you might as well keep it limited to your Blink App.

      You can use any echo device (even the echo dot amzn.to/46DDT93 ) and the app on your phone to notify you of visitors. Estamos en buenos días para adquirirlos (prime day)
