As for as "Wired or Wireless", the doorbell is only powered by the batteries. If you connect it to the existing doorbell wiring, you can get it to activate your existing house doorbell.otherwise, you only get a chime on your phone when the doorbell button is pushed.

Ok, we had soooooooo much trouble trying to get bell part to click with the mounting. But I think I may have an idea.... When we took the "seal" off the mounting, the two pieces came together like a charm!! So, my husband and I are thinking the "seal" is actually just packaging and not necessarily supposed to be part of the mounting process.... I'm no blink expert, so take what I say with grain of salt. But, it WORKED ! Wish y'all the best!

It works perfect so far and integrates perfectly with my blink camera system. It also works seamlessly with Alexa

Do not remove the seal. Read your instructions so the clips and holes line up. Check how to do it before installing. You have to push down pretty hard to get it to snap in place.

the small screws with kit went through the back plate holes and the wedge holes but then would not actually screw in. Any ideas?? its like they need to supply a longer screw???

A simple question: With the wireless system as you have put, what happens when someone presses the doorbell. Does your phone alert you? If you have Echo screen would that chime? Where is the audio 🔉 noise coming from to alert you? i.e. ding dong sound!?
Just tried installing one with the angle mount and the blink won't click in, had to rid up spacers on the plate to space out the mounting plate for the doorbell from the angle mount to get it to lock in place. It took over an hour to get it to lock in place. Now it won't get power from the existing doorbell so it looks like I need to use the batteries.
It only goes throughout the house if you are using it with a wired system (I.e.: replacing a standard doorbell with a chime throughout the house). If you’re not using a wired system then it will only chime on your phone.

You do not need the blink module. The doorbell works fine as a stand-alone but you do loose some features

Yes but it needs to have enough voltage to work, somewhere around 12 volts. Otherwise go wireless & it will ring through your Alexa devices
