Man ! This is really really cool. Thank you XCAR for showcasing such products and more importantly, car builders with such passion. I'm definitely going to buy this some day. It's just beautiful !
absolute stunner! i almost teared up seeing this vid while knowing they discontinued the defender lineup. all good things come to an end, so did the defender and this vid, sigh...
I fackin love what your company TwiSted is doing as regarding modding staunch, rarely looked @ machines. I'm modeling my car modding garage after you guys!! Would drop by for a tour the next time I'm in the UK & Welldone to the Xcar team for making me smile & feel warm inside with finding unique, passionate companies that don't only sell cars.
Like this channel's item on the Bristol Fighter and Top Gear's item on the Alfa Romeo Disco Volante, this is mainly a way of showing something virtually unknown to a greater public. That puts it dangerously close to an ad, but I think it's acceptable.
Very Cool! A few months ago I was telling a friend if you could get a GM V8 in there, maybe a tranny, redo the suspension and get a better wheel set up they would be more fun. In the states with limited access to parts and knowledge about the vehicle people just get a jeep to tinker with. Might have to do a family vacation to the UK to check this place out!
I love the defender. back toward the end of 1974, a french guy who used to run a coffee farm in Cambodia (Pailin Province) left before the war broke out and gave a defender to my step-father. We had it for several months, then the Khmer rouge took over the country. Everything from there was history. Needless to say I love that car since the 70's era. I now live in the US and it's hard to find one here. Yes, definitely is a dream car to have one day for me.
Oh wow they are based just half an hour away from me. I've always wondered why I often see a fair few Twisted Land Rovers going up and down the A19, now i know!
is there something wrong with me? I'd prefer one of these to a sports car or something....I don't know, there's just something about the defender that I absolutely love...i'm obsessed with this car and hope to own one soon!
Also engine options 6.2 is in the flying huntsman xs station special but iv also seen a v8 4.6 engine which twisted never mentioned here but seen it on sale as a twisted conversion ..??
Love the way they look. Timeless styling, IMO. And with a Vette engine under the hood.... Oh, my.. lol Excellent upload, btw. Enjoyed it very much. Thank you.
even tho' this is a Euro car/suv fabrication shop... it great to see something different than the same ole shit. I never looked @ Defenders when they came 2 the states but I'd like to have 1 after seeing what it could be modded to be
***** Well not really. There are the early series Land Rovers and Range Rovers from the late 40s then they launched the Defender. The Land Rover is older than the G Wagen, but there was nothing called Defender until 1983, 4 years after the launch of the G Wagen.
Gaming 4 Ohio they launched the 90 and 110 in 1983 and they were re-named the Defender when the Discovery was launched in 1990. I'm not disputing the age of the early series Land Rovers, but what we know as the defender began it's life in 1983.
Just because they switched the name doesn't mean it's not a Defender lmao that's like saying the LR3 and LR4 are not Discoveries. Plus you have no idea what your talking about your said Range Rovers from the 40s the Range Rover released in 1970 and Discovery released in 1989.
I'm loving this as I was always a defender admirer, however I like the v8 versions the best and twisted is good because it'll want me get one due to a more less agricultural feel and more personal luxury touch. Iv made my mind up rather than a g wagon id love to get this hands down .
+maleka58 I am 'twisting' my own Defender at the moment. OK not really, but a respray, interior upgrade, new lights and all the wonderful Landy bits '' pieces. Can't wait to get it back from the pant shop. Defenders forever - well, old style ones anyway.
+maleka58 Gave the body shop a kick up the arse, now they reckon another 3 weeks yet! After I have refitted it I can send you the pics through Dropbox. So send me your email through my channel and I'll put it in my to do list. Cheers
I don't see the craze with upping power on these kinda cars. What i want from a car like this...Miles per gallons,Reliable ( not messed with) and decent Torque.
I want a snorkel on the right side of my left-hand-drive 2000 or newer Defender 90, and a small winch in my front bumper, and a removable exhaust pipe extension even to the roof. You don't seem to have that.
Overfinch used to modify Range Rovers in the same way Twisted do Defenders. However they went busy and now the name is used by a company that blings up Range Rovers.
+john carter Because Land Rover is now run by fools who hate our history and culture. The Defender could have continued with a different engine and anyway I thought we were leaving the EU so can do what the fuck we like. Jeep and Mercedes can still produce half decent 4 x 4s why can't we? = Because it's Indian now.
Had a 110 XC went down to collect it from Scotland. It was TERRIFIC for the first year and a half, and I do go off road in difficult terrain, however unfortunately the engine blew. It was under Warranty and I took it to a Land Rover Agency near Twisted, who referred me to them. I was given a courtesy Land Rover and that Company was EXCELLENT in Yorkshire. Unfortunately Twisted washed their hands of it, were not interested in anything else despite my concern about the possibility of Land Rover refusing to replace engine with the reason that it had been upgraded by Twisted. I had lost confidence and decided then to sell it and AGAIN Twisted wanted NOTHING to do with it no offer to sell for me nor take it back for their own stock. Will not deal with them again. I sold it to MONARCH GARAGE in GLASGOW who did actually give me a very very fair price as they sold it for me and only took a percentage. It WAS a great LANDROVER and I have driven MANY, from my Forces days to Overlanding to India in a Series 11A . I now have a great wee 90 and bought it from,,,,,,, MONARCH!!
Absolutely ridiculously wonderful...
+Carfection Phenomenal!! The gear shifter is what got me. one of the last shots in the film, the leather and the stitching was fantastic
Man ! This is really really cool. Thank you XCAR for showcasing such products and more importantly, car builders with such passion. I'm definitely going to buy this some day. It's just beautiful !
A Land Rover fan more actually ! Haven't ventured into the off-roading world too much.
I'll buy whatever this guy is selling, so honest and humble, reminds me of Christian Koenigsegg
+Ali Samieivafa Christian is a fraud...
+ja er (J.E) Why's that?
user12345 Did you see the cars in person?
TOTALLY agree !! reminded me of Mr.Koenigsegg too ;D talking with passion about their creativity
You'll need deep pockets, these Twisted Land Rovers cost a fortune
Superb feature guys, Charlie really knows what he's doing with Land Rovers. Amazing vehicles!
I actually would consider one after seeing this, Twisted® seem to have finished what Land Rover stated.
Nice presentation well done.
These guys are artists. I wish I could buy one of these, I always dreamed of owning a Defender and this one would be THE ONE...
I so wish that this guy should've been my math professor. How good he explains everything.
absolute stunner! i almost teared up seeing this vid while knowing they discontinued the defender lineup.
all good things come to an end, so did the defender and this vid, sigh...
He said the exact same thing in 37 different ways.
I fackin love what your company TwiSted is doing as regarding modding staunch, rarely looked @ machines. I'm modeling my car modding garage after you guys!! Would drop by for a tour the next time I'm in the UK & Welldone to the Xcar team for making me smile & feel warm inside with finding unique, passionate companies that don't only sell cars.
willingly just watched a 7 minute ad
Yartin when a company does the right stuff, it doesn't seem like an advertisement.
Like this channel's item on the Bristol Fighter and Top Gear's item on the Alfa Romeo Disco Volante, this is mainly a way of showing something virtually unknown to a greater public. That puts it dangerously close to an ad, but I think it's acceptable.
Honestly, besides Icon, this is about the most inspiring work on a Defender I’ve seen
Love companies like this.
No, I didn't see it. Tnx for the tip!
More of these videos please, I LOVE Twisted!
Men tinkering with Land Rovers in North Yorkshire. This is what it's all about.
Ohh Yess! I Love the old style with power is a dreams!!Gratitude!!!
I noticed a defender in NY for the first time a few months ago. I would not have recognized it if it weren't for XCARFilms.
Oh my Lord that Beige Defender at 1:53. I am head over heals in love
+datzed it's the CEO's own car - it looks amazing, there's an article featuring pics and a review of it on "classic driver" (.com)
Fantastic, Very tempting. Would have been good to have a test on and off road of at least a couple of the versions.
So many BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A tires in this video: love that classic tread pattern and the raised solid white letters.
Beautiful
you guys really like Defenders.
yes. we do.
A damn good idea twisted. I would LOVE to get one of these to the US.
Oh wow they are based just half an hour away from me. I've always wondered why I often see a fair few Twisted Land Rovers going up and down the A19, now i know!
Would take one of these over a G Wagon
troybballin14 *G-Wagen
troybballin14 In a perfect world I'd have one of these and a G63 4x4

LandRover Defender is a Big Machine!
wonderful Defener
Awesome stuff...loving this greatly
So which one of you endlessly knowledgeable car guys wants to impress me and tell me the shade of green on the Landy at 5:47?
It looks great.
Yeah nice. Great advert. Thanks a lot.
A Defender Will always be A Defender.
Marvelous.....absolutely.
Esto es para quitarse el sombrero.
i love this car and one day i will buy this ...one dayy
Got one yet?
is there something wrong with me? I'd prefer one of these to a sports car or something....I don't know, there's just something about the defender that I absolutely love...i'm obsessed with this car and hope to own one soon!
Do they break down like regular Range Rovers too or did they improve that?
I am fascinated with the defenders, love it , also Keep and Hummer
would definitely pay u guys a visit
Beautiful, period
These Defender looks cool & seems to to be much better Quality
It was long due by Land rover. They missed the opportunity
So go with Twisted
Wow those defenders look awesome...I wonder if they do the old series 1, 2 and 3 land rovers as well?
Also engine options 6.2 is in the flying huntsman xs station special but iv also seen a v8 4.6 engine which twisted never mentioned here but seen it on sale as a twisted conversion ..??
Beautiful beasts!
I saw there display at Good Wood, I mean they are fantastic! but the price tag is ludicrous at nearly £85000!
Maybe open more outlet around the world.available market in Kenya.
Do you guys make one with right hand drive for America?
did we seriously go that whole video without hearing the V8 twisted defender.... :(
Great video guys, will your defender get this treatment?
I am from the future. LR already made one in limited numbers
I never seen a defender here in NYC.. I would love to own the four door 1 for myself & family..
Just love my 110
Am just mad about Land Rover. Its my dream 4x4 by FAR
Now in 2021 who is the best Defender 'restorer' and or customizer ?
John from Nairobi Kenya would want to know whether you can build a new defender 11o puma engine hardtop - pickup
The green 90 looked the best
Wicked cool
Wonderful work bruv.. definitely I'll choose the Defender over a Wagon Million times.. What's the song ah the end please?
Love the way they look. Timeless styling, IMO. And with a Vette engine under the hood.... Oh, my.. lol
Excellent upload, btw. Enjoyed it very much. Thank you.
even tho' this is a Euro car/suv fabrication shop... it great to see something different than the same ole shit. I never looked @ Defenders when they came 2 the states but I'd like to have 1 after seeing what it could be modded to be
Great vlog i know where to bring mine dedicated team congrats
Which was made first this or the g wagon? Look really similar
***** Well not really. There are the early series Land Rovers and Range Rovers from the late 40s then they launched the Defender. The Land Rover is older than the G Wagen, but there was nothing called Defender until 1983, 4 years after the launch of the G Wagen.
The Defender has been around since 1946. Second SUV ever in the world. The Range Rover has been around since 1970. The G-Class came out in 1979.
Gaming 4 Ohio they launched the 90 and 110 in 1983 and they were re-named the Defender when the Discovery was launched in 1990. I'm not disputing the age of the early series Land Rovers, but what we know as the defender began it's life in 1983.

Were the Ninety and One Ten not new cars? Because they are the first and only cars to hold the name Defender.
You will be hearing from me. You reminded me of who I am, thank you.
I'm loving this as I was always a defender admirer, however I like the v8 versions the best and twisted is good because it'll want me get one due to a more less agricultural feel and more personal luxury touch. Iv made my mind up rather than a g wagon id love to get this hands down .
Can they custom a left hand one?
Dimitris Kepenos I'm sure if you shipped it to them
I love my Defender and would love to have it twisted guys :)
+maleka58 I am 'twisting' my own Defender at the moment. OK not really, but a respray, interior upgrade, new lights and all the wonderful Landy bits '' pieces. Can't wait to get it back from the pant shop. Defenders forever - well, old style ones anyway.
:) ;) :)
I would love to see the pictures when you get it back :)
+maleka58 Gave the body shop a kick up the arse, now they reckon another 3 weeks yet! After I have refitted it I can send you the pics through Dropbox. So send me your email through my channel and I'll put it in my to do list. Cheers
my dream car 😍
I would love a 90 built from here
❤️Twisted for Defending the Defender 👌
Hope you are gonna take for drive one day and give a review
I don't see the craze with upping power on these kinda cars. What i want from a car like this...Miles per gallons,Reliable ( not messed with) and decent Torque.
ME ENCANTA EL DEFENDER.
do you sell then to the US?
the first best of
Really well made video. If you could remove the music at some parts so we could hear the car, that would be perfect.
damn, those are sweet!!!
***** I did :) keep up the good work guys!
I want a snorkel on the right side of my left-hand-drive 2000 or newer Defender 90, and a small winch in my front bumper, and a removable exhaust pipe extension even to the roof. You don't seem to have that.
Saw two of these badboys at the Gumball 3000 start this year. They were mean sounding. I'd love to have one
Give your meat a good old rub
So what's the difference between Overfinch and Twisted? Why would I want to choose one over the other?
Overfinch used to modify Range Rovers in the same way Twisted do Defenders. However they went busy and now the name is used by a company that blings up Range Rovers.
ohhh,my bad.such a great customization u hv got there.btw,thank for the reply.
y the hell would a company stop producing this monster now??
+john carter Because Land Rover is now run by fools who hate our history and culture. The Defender could have continued with a different engine and anyway I thought we were leaving the EU so can do what the fuck we like. Jeep and Mercedes can still produce half decent 4 x 4s why can't we? = Because it's Indian now.
Exactly, they aren't even in the EU and don't have to abide by EU regulations
North American if you’re going to sell into the eu market, you have to abide by eu regulations which until 4 years time, still applies to the ukz
What an amazing man, what an amazing vehicle, what an amazing company. British - always best.
Love it.
Dear Santa ... Next Christmas ...
The factory reminds me of Bristol Car's one.
How do we get one of these in the US? Seriously
Quality !! G wagon alternative.
im happy they stuck with the Manual transmission unlike the stupid automatics from icon
My end of the world car😲
The new defender is out

Love my defender
I'd love to work there.
...yes please.
What did he mean about doesn't have time limitation when do the custom job....Don't they charge the labour by hourly?
+Mr Ben Brown Hey man thought you might like this!
Live this idea but with a budget of £20 k what is possible if anything at all please
This is the best company in the world . In the future i wish to visit twisted and buy a Land Rover 110
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 just amazing!!
