- 9 Days in Botswana!! My mate Tom and I Left South Africa to find out if you can really experience all that Botswana has to offer in terms of overlanding in just 9 days. In episode 1 we drive from Johannesburg to Kubu Island, spent the night in the remote Makgadikgadi Salt pans and travel to Maun the following day.

Cool vid. 1. No problems with drones in Botswana other than regular etiquette & guidelines. 2. Why would the bigger trailer (Echo5) be better in ruff terrain than your smaller DW?
Sean French thanks mate! not in the area I flew in at the time of this video, now you need a license and permit to fly anywhere in Botswana and a special permit from DWNP to fly inside the National Parks 🙌 I wouldn’t say the Echo is any better in the tougher terrain, I would say they are on par, the Echo is lighter and has more space for sure 🙌
