Richard Wagner - Tannhäuser, Einzug der Gäste
The Grand Opera Gala in support of the AIDS Foundation was again held at the Deutsche Oper Berlin. The event has become an established fixture on Berlin's cultural and social calendar. In this year’s edition, the chorus and orchestra of the Deutsche Oper Berlin under the baton of internationally acclaimed conductor Donald Runnicles welcome some of the world's leading Opera artists - both talented newcomers and established artists.
I can´t hold my tears everytime I listen to this magnificent music. Unique. Glorious.
Marvellous Richard Wagner composition.
One a good friend told me that I was so lucky to understand music and enjoy it so much, he on the other hand knows nothing about it. So I played this piece and asked him to put on the headphones. By the end of it, he was speechless and tremendously moved. This is the human ingenui at the peak. I'm not German, but I am truly proud to be human kind for once!
For once! Me, too. It amazes me that the nastiest species on the planet can produce this beautiful presentation.
@@mrlaw711 I don't think we're much nastier than other species. In fact, the reasons you think we _are_ are the same reasons I disagree with the claim. If we were truly "nasty" at the core, you wouldn't care about that fact. And the reasons you _do_ care come from other humans whom came before you. We're capable of atrocities and brutality like any other animal. We're blessed/cursed with a more-complex brain than the other critters.
@@jerrygrimes1977 i Love Richard Wagner
Most Germans I’ve met aren’t interested in this at all 🤔
@@Deelystaniel does this mean you have come across every german in germany!
Tolle, wuchtige und sehr beeindruckende Musik.
When you hear this how can anyone say Wagner did not write beautiful music but only loud long operas? Incredible! And thé Deutsche Oper is my favourite venue for Wagner. Never been disappointed there. Best sound in Europe.
this is by far one of my favorite Wagner's choirs
👍🏿

the perfect doorbell. the whole thing.
If the bride gets to enter with the bridal chorus from Lohengrin, the groom should be able to enter to this!

Exacto
Jewel of wagnerian romanticism, Opera No. 5 : Tannhäuser in E major, WWV 70, Grand March (Einzug der Gäste), Act II. Scene 4 : Freudig begrüssen wir die edle Halle. This piece embodies the rich harmonic and melodic textures for which Wagner is known. The beautiful and surprising chromaticism which is the composer's trademark is not too difficult in this arrangement and the essential of the melody is provided by the first violins with the holding of brass and percussion. No words can describe the immense beauty and great richness of
this music. Introduction lyrics : We greet with joy this noble abode, lieu of residence art and of the peace. « A musical patrimony is as rich
at opera that in a symphony. » *Lucien*
Eccezionale Compositore. Lo.."adoro".

Como seria bom si o mundo funcionar como uma orquestra o mundo seria bem melhor.
Richard Wagner 🇦🇩😊👍
Bellísimo
Que maravilha!
🎻🤩すばらしい!また見てみたい!
Runnicles is a BRILLIANT, BRILLIANT, BRILLIANT Wagner conductor, and I cannot understand why he has not been invited to conduct ALL Wagner at the Met. Gelb, please take note.
❤
it is the german genius.
A bit too fast. It's the entrance of the lords and ladies. They didn't run. A bit slower is more regal.
🥺♥️♥️♥️
録音が素晴らしい。なかなかないんですよね。
Where is the Bass voice??
『大行進曲』!ブラヴオー!!!ワーグナー: 歌劇「タンホイザー」:客人たちの行進「歌の殿堂をたたえよう」(第2幕)ですね。
This is a rehearsal??
Great piece but a bit in a hurry... Unfortunately the choir does not have time to pronounce their lyrics
Way too fast.
I wish I was fluentin German and could follow and understand the words
Not sure even native German speakers easily follow the text. Has to do with the high tempo as well.
02:35 - Freudig begrussen
their reign is fulfilled in the broken up ring of the nibbelungs
Text, Text! Deutlichkeit, meine Damen und Herren! Das sage nicht ich, sondern Richard Wagner! Welche Sprache singt ihr denn da???

In Wagner's choirs, there is the danger of choir slips into the dreaded "Wagner tango". I have never experienced this with the choir of the Deutsche Oper, Berlin. - Heinz
curious to understand. could you give an example please?
@@jamesmorris1657 - In 'Twilight of the Gods' choir is singing "Heil Dir Gunther" when Hagen is back from Brunhilde's rock with Gunther and caught Brunhilde. There is danger to fall by wrong pronounciation into swinging 3/4 beat (like tango Valse kind). th-cam.com/video/FdJ59GkTsjY/w-d-xo.html
Hope my explanation demonstrates this danger at choir singing at Wagner's operas. Famous choirmaster Norbert Balatsch at rehearsal at Bayreuth aired at tv drew my attention to that point.
PS: Same and myabe better sample at "Gross Glück und Heil lacht nun dem Rhein"

@@pega17pl Thanks- So I listened to these and heard what you did. So I went to my sources of proper conducting of Wagner, Solti and Furtwangler. and you can well hear the difference. Good catch.

Fest March is not from Tannhauser!
My error. I was thinking of something from Meistersinger
GilmoreDon 😂
Who's here from the 19th C science class?
"Bethoven alcançou os limites do humano. Wagner superou os limites do humano."

somehow, their instruments are from the perioda of the thirty years war
Our magnificent Creator gave us music!! Soon, after Armageddon, he will erase all sin and death and ugliness.... He will restore the current satanic mess and imagine THAT music. Rev.21!
What did you smoke?
…entrada de los invitados.Perdón.
行進曲は気分がスッキリします。世の中嫌がらせばかりが蔓延しているので
His pizza’s are terrible but his music is great!
very un-Wagnerian to me. If I did not know better I would guess maybe Verdi?
You are not philharmonitcs yet....next you are pink???
This should be the National Anthem of Classical Musicians
maybe the interational anthem even more so.
