Fantastic musicians. Gunnhild Sundli's voice is from another world. I was excited for the performance, and am not disappointed. Perfect setting that fits the theme. The song is a centuries-old traditional poem/verse about a girl who frees herself from a curse. The screams are an old chant/decoy, which the milkmaid used to lure the livestock back to the farm.
Great performance of my favourite Folk Rock band! Also do yourself a favour and check out all the music and live videoclips on their official channel, especially the live clips of "Knut Liten" and "Rideboll & Gullborg" and the one titled "Akustisk". Since you mentioned that you like this type of music, you might also like Bergtatt, who are the band of the guy playing keyed fiddle in Gåte's MGP-line-up. Check out this live performance from 2016, during which he also played another traditional instrument called hurdy-gurdy: th-cam.com/video/rrcHo3jdcU8/w-d-xo.html Since you are familiar with Garmarna, you might recognize one of the songs they played at this concert, namely "Varulven" (which Garmarna played on "Guds spelemän"). You might also like Hedningarna (I think "Trä" is there best album) and the now defunct Finnish-Swedish band Gjallarhorn - don't know if you already know them.
I knew they would nail the live performance, and we need to send this to Eurovision😍😍
