This is the most beautiful and moving voice I have ever heard. Lavrans sings feelings with his whole self. Pain, hope, sadness and joy. It's so raw and pure. When I heard him for the first time, in "Stay", I didn't know anything about him yet, I felt that his soul was crying and mine was also crying with him. His voice, his interpretation, reminded me of Max Richter's composition "On the Nature of Daylight". In my opinion, Lavrans' voice needs this kind of minimalist, almost metaphysical musical setting. He should have won, otherwise there should have been two winners and not a runner-up. The best voice is one that is not only beautiful and technically perfect, but also a voice that has life in it. I mourned all my losses with Lavrans and returned to the beauty of life. Sometimes people are gone forever and you can't make someone stay, but in the end what matters is that you loved. That you were happy, you were also sad, you just lived. This is what the best voice should do. To break hearts and heal them. Thank you, Lavrans for what you bring to our world. You are a winner for me. Thank you, Jarle. Thank you, The Voice Norway. Thank you, Norway.

Wll song choices was Lavrans’ own except the duet and maybe also when he sang together with Jarle. He always chose songs that meant something to him and songs he could relate to.

As an American, I randomly came across a version of a song I absolutely love, Sound of Silence sung by Kristoffer Sorensen. I've never watched The Voice, in any country. I loved his rendition greatly, so I began to watch others. In truth. I saw only Lavrans Svendsen and had no idea he didn't win and sweep them all. I began downloading and repeatedly listening to his songs performed. This morning I came across something about the winner of The Voice Norway.....and it was someone else!!! 😱 I heard the winner's songs, and I absolutely love and respect the enormity of her voice. For me, I downloaded all of Lavrans' songs and Kristoffer in my playlist. I can't see Lavrans as anything but the winner, which I searched for and believed him to be the final winner until today. Such amazing talent found on this show I'm nearly encouraged to watch the show here in the US!

He only sang in the shower and by himself cause he didnt want to bother anyone (he felt he e annoying people when he sang all the time )….until they were having some entertainment on his work at a pizza place and he asked to sing a song..It ended up with him singing the rest of the night for them cause they wanted to hear more and they told him to apply for The Voice, and thats how it started. He and his mentor Jarle, was a match made in heaven. Welcome to The Voice Norway btw 😊 There are pouring out talents every year, even though we are a small country with 5 mill people. If you want to watch The Voice Norway it always starts in January and they upload all peformances here on YT. Sadly two of the coaches (Ina Wroldsen and Jarle Bernhoft, who was Lavrans mentor, wont be there next year).
