Photo314159 how do you like yours, and are you doing anything about the exhaust? I think these stock pipes are just lame. I'm looking at yoshimura.
Love it so far. Got the Helibars right away, much better. I'm leaning towards Yosh Carbon slip-ons too. Brocks titanium would be nice, but so much money. I think the Yoshi's are nice and deep too, so that's probably what I'll end up with. I read it's about an 18.5lb weight loss. Not as much loss as Brocks, but not as loud either. I don't want every cop to know where I'm at, haha.

2000 ZX12R A-1 is still Kawasaki's Red Headed Step Child!! Still dominates the streets, strips, roads, etc... ZX14 looks good though!

Had one. Great bike, but good lawd it got terrible gas mileage. 85 mile tanks are no bueno.

can you fit a few full faced helmets in those gargantuan pipes? How much weight will you lose when (not if) you install an aftermarket exhaust? Beautiful bike btw
+n2dabloo Um, performance pipes definitely sheds weight and help with performance (duh) but yes, but if I had to guess why they're so big is probably because of the engine size, (some emissions needed to be contained or something) people feel free to correct me.
+Sagar Thapa the pipes are that size because of a few things the dealer told me to meet noise levels in Many different country the system on it is very quiet then emissions too plays a part in the size plus the cost of making the system over all

I'm a little late to your reply, did u pull the trigger yet? I own a 2016 S1KRR, bike is absolutely useless on the street, it belongs on the track. I'm buying a ZX14 and using it as a spot touring bike and about $5-7k less then the BMW. Only thing the ZX is missing is the pro shifter.
What are they thinking with that muffler?
Regulation. They have to be below a certain decimal noise level. Besides most owners purchase an aftermarket pipe anyways.
