Delicious Cacao Drink Recipe / High Flavanol Ceremonial Chocolate and its Health Benefits

  • This is my favorite cacao drink, and the recipe is so simple. If you want to try the ceremonial cacao that I use, visit this link coachsofiafitn...
    What is Ceremonial Chocolate or Cacao:
    Ceremonial cacao is 99% genetically different from the store's conventional dark chocolate or hot chocolate powder. It is made sustainably by fermenting the beans and stone grinding them with minimal processing. No nutrients are removed, and no chemicals are added.
    Ceremonial cacao has the highest sources of antioxidants, and is high in flavanol. It also contains properties that reduce inflammation and relaxes the nervous system. It contains 40 times the amount of antioxidants found in blueberries and more calcium than regular milk... has high levels of magnesium, which of course, helps relax the muscular system.
    It also contains iron, and manganese. And with all of these benefits, ceremonial cacao improves cognitive function and enhances creativity.
    The Ceremonial cacao I use: coachsofiafitn...
    I have tried several brands over the past few years that I like, but the brand that I keep going back to is Kakao. I love the Chuncho, a wild strain of Kakao that grows in Peru. It is sustainably sourced from farmers with very minimal processing.
    Cacao Drink Recipe:
    1. I usually add about half a cup of water and half a cup of almond milk. You can use regular milk, oat milk, or boiled water.
    2. I add 2-4 tbps of Kakao
    3. I add a scoop of unflavored collagen protein in the morning: amzn.to/3kycVNa If you want your cacao to be creamy and thick, I recommend that you blend it for two-three seconds in a blender. Or you can also use a milk frother.
    I hope you enjoyed this video. If you'd like to grab a bag of this delicious cacao and this is your first order, you can get 10% off with the coupon code: SOFIAHABITY at the checkout.

      So happy to hear that! Yes, ceremonial has cacao contains all the nutrients (full healthy fats). I usually have 20-30 grams in morning with collagen which is around 200 calories but it sustains me for a long time and I even workout after. I advise you have it on an empty stomach not as an after meal drink :) again, so glad you are enjoying it 😊

Last time I was in a doctors office was 1969. I don't drink soda, juice or alcohol so I just need something other than tea to drink. THANKS for showing the brand.

      @@loribakergirl6438 Yes, I found that its alertness effects are subtle and gentle. It gives me no jolt or jittery feeling like coffee did. I also drink some green tea, but get most of my beneficial alertness from cacao. It helps me to limit what I sweeten it with (being diabetic). Going from coffee to cacao will take a transition period, but I've found that cacao won't disrupt your quality of sleep like coffee tends to. Good luck if you choose to try it...for me, it was worth it!

      Collagen peptides can withstand heat up to 572°F, making collagen one of the few protein powders that's good for cooking and baking. Cacao does contain caffeine, approximately 4-5 milligrams per teaspoon, which I learned from cooking and baking professionally.

    Would you be able to tell me how many calories are in one cup using the same recipe?

    • @CoachSofia
      @CoachSofia  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, I use 20 grams (85 calories of Kakao). In the package, it says 1 serving is 40 grams. But I actually find that 20 g. is enough for me. I also use about half a cup of unsweetened almond milk (around 35 calories) and the collagen has about 20 (which is all protein). Because the cacao is full fat, it keeps me full for hours when I have it with the protein. So I don't really worry about the calories, if I'm eating light for the rest of the day.

  • @serdalkaptan
    @serdalkaptan ปีที่แล้ว +4

    • @CoachSofia
      @CoachSofia  ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I wouldn't mix lemon juice with cacao, but I use collagen protein powder. It dissolves and is tasteless.

      It tastes really warm and abit of spice to it. Not bitter. Imagine hot chocolate that's not too sweet with a hint of vanilla and spice. This is honestly the most delicious cacao I ever bought. I have tried different other ones but keep going back to the chuncho

    Could you please explain at what temperature you put the stove on? Do you start this right after you put the cacao? And when do you know when to lower the heat?

    • @CoachSofia
      @CoachSofia  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I heat up the milk and milk and then add cacao. I don't bring to boil...as soon as everything is warming up I lower the heat and let it simmer so the chocolate melts nicely then use frother to bring everything together! If i use the blender...I just put the cacao into the blender, add hot water/milk amd blend. I made a video recently of the cacao recipe using a blender

      The company I get this cacao from does tests to make sure it's not contaminated. You can read how they do that on their website, but yes it's important to get high quality chocolate and ensure the company tests for these things.
