I have this same set up got it for my birthday have not got to use it yet the engine has low compression but soon I will have it going might be a winter project to deck out the boat for me and the kids to go fishing and just messing around

what do you think your boat setup weighs? i just bought a 2000 xpress 1650 [ i believe it weighs about 350 lbs would that engine work for me ?

Thinking about this or the 15 hp for my 14 ft inflatable. Just concerned that it may be too heavy to carry to and from the boat every time.

In this power range, Suzuki and Mercury use the Tohatsu engine. A good one.

Not accurate.. Suzuki designs and builds all of their engines regardless of size. The smaller engines are built in Thailand while their larger models are still built in Japan.

Bought a Honda and it’s got the charger built into it without electric start it’s a nice option

I'm thinking about buying a 15 hp from online outboard

@AverageGIJoeOutdoors hey I got the 20hp 2023 mercury. On a 1436 jon tracker. it runs 27 mph with fishing equipment and 2 guys. Shipping took 2.5 weeks and came in a well sytophomed box. For 2950 after taxes, pull start and manual tilt is easy.

@AverageGIJoeOutdoors I didn't buy it from online outboard I went to a small boat repair shop and they ordered it for me.

@@Nardage You got a 20HP motor for under 3k? How is that possible, everything I see is at least $3300 as of 30 Apr 2023. Any advice is appreciated.

@@kokoyhawaii Call around all the shops. Ask for plain jane pull start with manual tilt. No electric, but I do recommend the electric start

Your videography skills and video camera could use an upgrade! Constant, handheld camera movement makes for a poor viewer experience.
