Good to see the old girl getting some love Brett. You have already doubled the value. Keep going and you might quadruple it. 🤣 Great job on the headlights. Just as well it is low mileage as that oil filter has been around for a very long time.
I know I shouldn't have laughed when you were changing that, but that was a classic! If you had dropped your camera in the oil bucket that would have been the icing on the date.. 🤣
Reckon you should do a compilation video of all your oil changes, she'd be a hit for sure! Hmm MG, old British brand not particularly known for reliability, now made in China... They do look OK for a modern vehicle I suppose. Anyway very entertaining, thanks!
Poor car was really due an oil change, and they got good value from those brake discs. That weird wire coil thing was indeed a disintegrated air scoop from behind the bumper, they are renowned for failing but I never saw one that bad ! I think the "correct" oil is 5w/40 but I wouldn't complain about 10w/40 in a hotter climate. Glad the car is appreciated and steadily improving !
All us 75 owners know about the Shannon tube. At least you got the oil drain right, not the auto band retaining nut(looks the same). Now that would be a real disaster.
The rear interior lamp needs fixing. I have modified these by attaching a tongue (drill a hole and screw in) and it holds it in place. Headlining easy to remove from front door after removing the seats.
I love watching you change oil. Always a drama. Laughed my head off. Great to restore this old Rover.
I'm glad you're attempting to save the poor old girl.
I know that feeling when oil starts going everywhere - I feel your pain…but it was hilarious! It’s going to be a lovely car when finished 👍🏻
Thanks for this video, nice to see the Rover having some care and the years of neglect being reversed. Well done .

I pissed myself laughing at that oil change, best laugh in ages.

Yes, an old man's car indeed. But all the better for it imho. A nice and comfy little runabout when you've finished the tidy up.
