  • This is an unbiased review of the 2021 Nissan Rogue Platinum and the 2021 Toyota RAV4 Limited. I reached out to our local Honda dealership for a CR-V and was declined. I reached out to Honda Canada and was told there is a fleet of CR-V's for this purpose, but none in Nova Scotia so I was unable to include the CR-V Touring. For anyone wondering, I work for O'Regan's Automotive Group and as such am able to sell any brand which they carry, This includes Nissan, Toyota, Hyundai, Kia, VW, GM & Subau.

    I'm a fan of the CVT. I've owned 3 of them and I also drive a Ford with a regular automatic transmission. I much prefer the smoothness and better fuel economy of the CVT. I also like not having the auto stop/start on the Nissans. This was a good comparison video.

      No auto stop/start for the RAV 4. Just the push button start though.

      @@gendyn58779 Yeah, that's annoying having to press EVERY time I start the car to deactivate it. No thanks. I shouldn't have to press another button to drive a car the way I like it. Nissan did a better job in not having it to begin with.

    Just got the Rogue. Although I’m not the primary driver (daughter is), I’ve enjoyed this car when I have driven it. While shopping for a car, I test drove the RAV and CRV. Overall, the ROGUE had a lot more to offer and that’s what sealed my decision.

    Enjoyed the comparison of these 2 vehicles. The only correction I would make is the the Limited does have a remote start on the fob. Unless shown it is hidden. It is activated by pressing the lock button let go and press and hold until the car starts. This was shown to me by the sales rep. With the latest update to the Rouge I would expect a bit more tech, however the RAV is equipped quite well.
    I just purchased the RAV4 Limited and have enjoyed it.

      @ROMIAN25 most people would disagree with you, in the design segment. Also most people won’t be driving a car with 400k miles on it 😆 that’s a Fact. Very few people here in the U.S would drive a car with 400k miles. Distances are long here in the states, is easier just to sell it or trade it and get a lower mileage car.
      And that goes for any brand. People are not driving 20year old cars here in the U.S lol

    • @RobertTigheCars
      @RobertTigheCars  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I debated a long time on whether or not to reply to this so based on that here’s what I have to say. My review was an unbiassed review. Clearly you are biased. The transmission that’s in the Nissan is a reliable transmission if you maintain it. The same as any other transmission on the market. If neglected, it will not last. That can be said for any transmission on the market in any vehicle. I’ve taken in 2008 Rogues with well over 300,000 km on them and the transmission works just like the day that it was bought. Every single vehicle on the road will last if well looked after. That’s my unbiassed opinion on the whole thing and I hope going forward you can also look at things unbiased. Thank you for your remarks.

    they KILLED the modern look of their truck with a boxxy outside and a BULLS#$%& SUBSCRIPTION for electric start, Ridiculous to have a 3rd party involved all for what?? Nissan looks way more modern and doesn't hold a carrot over the owners head for a balls out experience. Not only that just to own and drive an AWD still doesn't have to cost an ARM AND A LEG😀👌
    Auto stop and start at a light SUCKS COW NUTS.....tons of wear and tear on your vehicle just to save a little gas??? You can keep it.
