Came across this today. Ironically im playing monday night and im going to roll the Abominant and magnus, with the suggestion of running him straight in.

pretty good video, only thing i'd suggest is that it would be cool to have chapters for the video for each unit that you talk about

I’m not sure how to do that, but I’ll take a stab at it! Glad you enjoyed it!

Maybe I’m playing against players with higher optimization in lists but I was struggling with the only non-cabal generating units being 2x enlightened and a vindicator. I can’t imagine tossing 400ish into a chaos knight

I’ve since added war dogs but I’ve yet to actually run them in a game. The knight is purely for games where I wanna just be a complete goofball in.
There are SO MANY better units to drop 400 points into, but are any of them as fun? Nah fam. Run the knight. Become silly.

Just picking up 40k and would love to run Magnus in a 2k point list, any suggestions?

@@Koaerstormpaw yea! Check out my latest TS vid for a little more of an update on list strategy and building.
In short though, Magnus is great to run in large games. He’s super tanky, fast, and hits HARD. You can also deep strike him! Don’t be afraid to play him aggressively!
Be sure to run him within range of a vortex beast and other sorcerers so you can maximize his aura abilities and his giant profile + range increase from the vortex beast to get the most out of ritual range. Doom bolting shit across the map and over terrain can be a great way to get ahead, or you can maximize his movement abilities by running Lord of Forbidden lore to double cast Temporal Surge, which will allow him to be moved around 28” (provided he’s within range of caster and you’ve got the spare cabal points). He also does really well when accompanied by demon princes or other heavy units so that you can force your enemy to make a choice on which scary unit they wanna focus fire on.
He’s a must-have in larger games and there’s a lot of shenanigans you can get up to.
