@@AdamBeeby-t6n you can have both and yes, it would be good for the soul reaper over a bolter. Probably wouldn’t do too bad on warp smite either or the flamer.

Makes me sad that general space marines are at a bit of a low at the moment and all the other divergent chapters just do all the stuff spacemarines do just a little better.
@@Mursaat666 I don’t see too many space marine players these days. Normally, I’m seeing either dark angels or Templars these days. Not a lot of generic lists around these parts

This is the future we should aim for, minus the AI with feelings for no damn reason. Stories only do that because they want it to be destroyed and because its more fun than a Utopia. Don't forget that stories are not made to be realistic. They are made to provoke thought, feelings and entertain. Just because every robot in fiction rebels does not mean that is at all logical. Too many people seem to think Terminator is a documentary.
So before the imperium the setting was basically cyberpunk? Interesting
@@adenkyramud5005 I like to imagine it as more solarpunk. There’s barely any info besides saying it was a golden age. I typically associate that solarpunk or retro future vibe with that sorta deal. I used some of that art in the video!
@@star.hammer well, whatever genre it would really fit into, i hope that GW will at some point start covering it more. Maybe with some games and novels, or even with some tabletop stuff with its own models. Maybe some cyberpunk 2077 Style game set during that time, that would be sick

Common mistake, the "men of iron" were not the creation of humans, they were the creation of "men of stone" which were human made AI, humans made AI and the AI were happy, AI made men of iron and lacked perspective creating them with their own wants, men of iron where unhappy with this slavery and rebelled.
@@lockend2 from my understanding, men of stone were a sort of intermediary between the two, but men of iron were still created by humans. What you’re suggesting is (from what I’ve seen) just speculation that they were involved in creating the men of iron in some way
The me of iron did not rebel. Humans got lazy and made daemon engine AI and it obviously backfired battlestar galactica style.

If anyone is in the dark about these details and think the Eldar did nothing wrong, remember this; As soon as those machines went haywire and were defeated, the Eldar empire swept in and enslaved trillions of now-defenseless humans, to be used in gladiatorial combat, tortured, used for “pleasure cult” activities and menial labor. The space marines are a justified response to that.

I like the story of the time the Imperium discovered a ship with an AI built by golden-age humans and it told them how much it respected its creators, but how much it despised the Imperium for how low they've fallen.

I still have no idea what the webway looks like. I honestly think of a big ass tunnel that branches off all the place. I know the Dark Elder have cities. Are there planets, or anything else besides my tunnel vision?

@@lebendigesgespenst7669 I mean they serve the purpose of super cheap transport but that’s all they have going for them. They can’t really provide decent covering fire. Personally, I just think the inpulsor is the better pick for light transport

@@runeh3022 it’s good for moving people to and from. That’s about it. I don’t even use one in my thousand sons.
@@star.hammer well, the TS are not exactly a melee army, so that doesn't really surprise me much tbh. :-)
@@runeh3022 even with my Templars I’m not a fan. I’d happily drop more on a land raider or an impulsor. Just more bang for my buck (literally) The rhino is good cheap transport but it doesn’t have anything else on offer in terms of general utility.
@@star.hammer true enough. The Impulsor seems generally speaking to be the better option. Still amusing it's typically rated S-tier for CSM though. hehe

@@star.hammer Me too! Space Marine 2 is a great game and I'm having fun playing the Vanguard class. To be a Chaplain and using his crozius mace and utilizing a chaplains other abilities will be a blast!
