    It doesn't get a lot better than that does it, blue sky, compliant fish and a gentle sea. All the troubles of the world decline for those hours. Cheers Michael and thanks for a little bit of sanity.

    Just a lovely days fishing Michael, sitting here with a glass of whisky watching you fish. I could have almost been there myself.

    A beautiful and interesting watch.
    Also useful coaching; I can often feel frustrated when beach fishing. I am not convinced of my decision making.
    It’s really useful to watch and to hear the series of choices and decisions being made by someone who knows the craft.
    I love the sound of the sea in this one.
    Great stuff and thanks

    Hi Mick. Excellent session and another excellent video. Surprised that the beach was so deserted on a dry English summer's day! Would love to fish Chesil Beach but it's too far for a "day trip" and if on holiday in that area I don't think my wife would be too happy if I swanned off for a day's fishing and left her on her own. Still, I can always dream! Cheers and stay safe. Ken

    Another quality video, Mick. Your attention to detail is rarely matched, ie the horizon is always level and the location details are very helpful. I never knew about the clay patches, might explain why I've never caught much at West Bexington ! The sunset over Golden Cap was spectacular. I'm staying at Charmouth in early October so may visit Cogden. Keep them coming.

      Thanks Rob - I've been to the top of Golden Cap and watched the sunset over Lyme Bay - that's worth doing.

    Remember Richard shapley who wrote for the sea angler back in the late 80s uses to catch a lot of sole from that area of Chesil

      Yes - there are plenty there; but that's night time fishing. I've yet to catch them during daytime there.

    Nice session, plenty of action, I would have thought more sole, but at least one put in an appearance.

    • @rodsangleuk6283
      @rodsangleuk6283  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching and commenting. I stayed until I caught something other than a plaice - the sole was caught as I was packing up, having just landed that small smooth hound and packed away my cameras. If I had stayed on well in to darkness, I think a lot more soles may have shown. I've had some great night sessions catching soles nearby in the past.

      Yes, as Paul mentioned - West Bexington is much more suitable; however for plaice though most anglers walk a considerable distance away from the carpark.
