Would you consider it for your workspace?
your channel helped me visualize and change over to a floor life which i've had for years now. my desk is 1. laying down, computer on the floor 2. sitting up on the floor, computer balanced on trashcan 3. standing, computer sitting on trashcan sitting on two ikea shelves turned sideways, stacked, which i used for storage, and the stop serves as a countertop or bench i switch in between these three bases during the day, i move into different positions constantly in the laying and sitting positions. thanks for all your inspiration!
I am from Canada, I was also looking for a desk like this. I don't mind the price of the desk, but shipping costs $400+ for me. Well, I guess I'll have to wait for a Canadian company.
The big reveal! I'm looking forward to other competitors coming to market. Standing desks used to be so expensive so I'm sure this style will come down in price in a few years.
What a coincidence, I saw your flood desk video 4 days ago. And after some research came across uppeal desk as the only option for a floor to standing desk, and here I am seeing your review for it. What a small world. But the desk is still too costly for me, I am still trying to look for options
Great desk, best of both worlds, you can go low to floor sitting height And then right up to standing work. Really good that it is adaptable to your personal liking. I have a Ikea non height adjustable desk, and wish to upgrade to this, but I dont have the budget right now😢. Envy both of you❤
Would you be able to test the stability with two monitors and a stand for a heavy laptop? That's my setup on my regular adjustable office desk. I guess it should work on this table too? And thanks for the video! Loved the intro too - a perfect gesture and the pick of this aria, that's how I felt too as I saw your video title and realised a table like this exists.🎉 Worth saving up for, even given the EU shipping and customs fees
Unfortunately we don't have all the equipment to test that out, but we don't think it would be an issue unless you're using it at max height and very sensitive to desk wobble (but that would also rule out most standing desks). Do note that, as far as we understand, a heavier setup may make the desk travel slightly slower! Hope that helps :)
I love it but $1000 is a little too steep for my budget….even after the discount. My retrofitted IKEA table will have to work for a while. Thanks for posting this video series. Sitting on the floor and really helped my lower back and stiff hamstrings.
I really want to get it, but to Norway the shipping was a whopping $402.85 (and that's for the frame only, no tabletop!). At that price I will have to be really sure so I will wait 6 months to resist this being an impulse purchase.
2:24 Looks like it raises your shoulders in the seating position, which is going to cause long term shoulder inflamation and neck pain. I have the same issue with my ikea standing desk it's not going low enough.
If you're referring to the picture on the Kickstarter page, that is probably an early version of the desk. Uppeal says they're at their sixth iteration now. With a reasonably sized cushion, we think the desks' height is perfectly fine.
This is exactly what I've been looking for! Add some wheels from amazon to it and you get the ultimate flexible desk. The price is a bit on the steep side, but I'm tempted 😅
lillipad desk, uppeal doesnt go as low and has had issues delivering for years. I ordered it 2 years ago, said delivering in days, but months later it hadn't and I had to find a way to cancel it by hounding the creator. Even his kickstarter was filled with people wondering where theirs is.
Watching this from my non floor reaching standing desk with jealously. Buying a standing desk was decision I didn't regret once over 2 years. The only downside I see is the lost storage space below the desk and the opportunity to mount my desktop pc under.
I always view a desk as a lifetime thing as long as I don't abuse it. This desk although amazing, definitely isn't going to last my lifetime, there are just too many points of failure and moving parts when compared to a regular desk If the desk was way cheaper then I'll consider it, since if it breaks I have the peace of mind that I can comfortably replace it, even without the 10 years warranty
I'm hoping they find a way to go a little lower, I've been interested for a while. Still too high for me with my long arms. I have thought about getting a base and custom making the top so the front edge is lower since I don't like keyboard trays. Glad to hear you like them overall.
I have been following Uppeal since the kickstarter. I could adjust to the 42cm minimum height (I prefer 30cm minimum), but the size of the desktop was a non-starter for me (121cm/48"), preferring 80-100cm width (single monitor with MacBook in front). I have emailed Greg (the founder) a few times who has been excellent at answering my questions. He mentioned that the minimum width for custom desktop is 43" (109cm). Great to hear that they are working on reducing the minimum height, and hoping to see smaller options. Though based on how long it took from KickStarter to shipping desks, this is a difficult engineering challenge!
I bought a flexispot earlier this year (which was a reach for my budget) and didn’t regret getting a standing desk. But I felt like I was settling instead of pampering myself! I wanted something that could go to floor height so badly. I thought it didn’t exist! Now I’m motivated to go be a billionaire so I can get one of these…
I KNEW that this is what you meant when you said that you were ditching your floor desks! I've been wanting one of these desks for a while, but I'm way too broke for that lmao
love it, they’re the perfect sponsor for you guys 😆 just wondering, what’s the height of your original modified floor desks? I’m wondering if taobao options would be suitable for my use case haha
Sweet to hear Lakmé's flower duet here. I'm 187 centimeters tall, which is average in my country. I wonder how long it will take for the desk to move from the lowest to the highest setting and vice versa. By the look of it the display shows the height in inches. Is there a setting for centimeters as well.
Yes, we actually have one desk set to centimeters and another in inches. You can see both in this video! It takes roughly 21s to go from lowest to highest, but the speed may vary depending on how much weight is on the desk :)

@@ropro9817 Good catch, thanks!
@@ThoughtworthyCo I'll delete my comment now that it's fixed. 😄 Great video(s)! 👋
My best purchase this year! Paired with my japanese futon bed on tatami mats and no bulky desk chair required, my bedroom has never felt so spacious!
Nice!
I’m so glad you got to work with them too!! Glad you are enjoying the desk, it’s really been an awesome addition to my office setup!
Thanks! The desks have indeed been fantastic 👏👏

Very interesting system! Glad to be of help 🙏
When i saw Uppeal i knew it would be something you would be interested in. I'm glad to see you got the sponsorship! ☺
Thanks! 😊

Probably! Although it'll depend on whether the demand is there, as it's quite a niche product.
Nice, I really want to try this, as I'm getting quite frustrated with my current desk arrangement. Please follow up on this in a few months.
Will do!

Totally understand, it's not cheap at all. If we can think of any affordable options/ideas, we'll make sure to feature them in our videos :)

Thanks for watching! ✌️

Makes sense! Waiting 6 months to be sure of the purchase sounds wise 👍
that intro with the classic music was peak! loved it!
Glad you enjoyed it! We had fun with it 😁

i love this but i’d have to sell my kidney
We understand. We'd prefer to keep our kidneys too 😆
Reminds me of the Electric Lift Massage Tables... Trust i did the same Fist Motion while Raising a Client Up to my Working Height Level. Salute
Watching this from my non floor reaching standing desk with jealously. Buying a standing desk was decision I didn't regret once over 2 years. The only downside I see is the lost storage space below the desk and the opportunity to mount my desktop pc under.
The limitations on minimum floor height are a deal breaker for me. Maybe the next model will address this. Thanks for your review.

Yeah, unfortunately with electrical components, a standing desk will certainly not be a purchase to last a lifetime!
Nice!! New goal when i make my office!!
Have fun building your office!

Yep, I asked work if I could have one of these. So maybe soon 😊
Wow, would be fantastic if they got you one. All the best!
Como sempre, PRESENTE!

It would be seriously impressive if they manage to get it down to 30cm! But that would likely require a totally different design and structure.
Where did you get the white cabinets in your office especially it’s little wooden feet?
They're from IKEA, but may have been discontinued.
I love your blue tea cup. Where did you get it?
We got that in Thailand! :)

It's from Venn Design! Here's our affiliate link if you're interested: www.venndesign.co/thoughtworthyco

The original desks are about 33cm tall. Good luck!
@ thank youuu :)
Bigger question... could this work as a coffee to dinning table as well as a desk? 😅

Wow me want that 😊
🙌
aw man, this is exactly what i want but the price is so high. maybe someday :)
I have a tiny stepper machine by where I sit on the floor, if I need to stand I go and walk on that while faffing on my cellphone! Loophole!
I need ❤
I’m 5’2 so it doesn’t go low enough
No way to get it to Europe without paying 400+€ for shipping + import taxes.
