This is a special controller made by livid for Nicholas Jaar. Hes been an incredible musician and live triggering musician for sometime now.

Alex Nechifor Honestly, I've been listening to various forms of electronic music for over a decade and I'm always discovering new names. That's part of the joy of the genre. I only discovered Jaar today because of this video, glad I did though. (When you first named him in response to Kael I thought you meant Jarre, and I was very confused).
"Don't Break My Love" by Jaar, also received the Best New Track award from Pitchfork in late 2011
This is one of the best live gigs to watch even today!
This is just the best man. I love these kind of sets where you can see their setup. Awesome collaboration with a lot of give and take. I really like these guys.

Is there nothing Ableton Live can't do. Loops, Live Instruments, and Pure Talent and... More and more Tech-savvy is the new Band instrument of Today. I love it. I'm just beginning to wrap my head around the possibilities of Tech as musical instruments.
I havent used ableton but known it for a long time... I discovered ableton live from the band Telefon tel aviv.

It's like Trentemoller Into The Great Wide Yonder, a little bit more progressive and less barroque/pioneer.

Darkside is Darkside. Radiohead is Radiohead. Different styles and different intentions. No need to compare the two competitively. Both are great and for different reasons. And for those that can't get into the Darkside album, patience is a virtue. Ive seen them live twice now and what they do for a large crowd is far different than what you get in these small studio recordings. Absolutely blew my mind.

Some 5 years later we see Darkside is not together(hiatus starting 2014). Funny how peoples expectations don't always come about. Hope they reconvene.
