I'd come back to this after 8 years to enjoy this great show again, and was surprised so many others are doing the same. Speaks to the band and this particular show
I've been coming back to this ever since I first saw it. Truly a masterpiece, even better than the studio version - must have been magical to see it live. Nicolas Jaar is up there as one of my idols when it comes to music!

@@Playlist-kg9zz yo diría que es algo así como downtempo, que es tipo "techno" realentizado con influencias de rock, la verdad es que es un proyecto muy único. Te recomiendo a Kerala Dust y WhoMadeWho que son algo similares.
I've been coming back to this video for the last 5-6years. Everything about it is perfect. Sun setting on NYC, lights reflecting in the water, empire state in the distance mystical music on a rooftop. Magic. Best boiler room. Period.
This performance is, totally, the most electrifying, mystifying, exotic, intimate work of art I've ever seen. Nicolas and Dave, have put there heart and soul and bodies into creating a true masterpiece. I am so amazed, and honored to have been turned on to them, and their new-age music.I love it!
I was able to see it live at First Ave in Mpls. It was electrifying. Life-altering actually. I would so much appreciate them getting back together. On KEXP live Nico said they had a lot more to say.
soundcloud.com/the-buhduzit-paradox/my-people-hold-on-eddie-kendricks-buhduzit-edit Do you wanna spend a questionable 4.28 mins on my Darkside inspired track?
Rare are artists like those guys. When you hear them for the first time you can say this is very good music, i mean real music... not just sound that is pleasant to hear. Look at Nicolas Jaar, in each of his performances, he is litterally in trance, this guy doesn't play music, he's playing with his soul!
30:10..when they start the first notes of PLANET CARAVAN and NY skyscraper behind with those colorful shining lights and that boat slowly moving...ah...don't tell me that this was not one of the most mystical moments on modern music!! Good music is the one that is honest and played with the heart and that touches your soul...and that one touched my soul.Deeply.
One of the most beautiful details in the world!! Looking at the comments, just realising that how universal the music’s language is and the spiritualism that Nico gives!!
I have beautiful memories related to this set: my favorite mountain forest. I love listening to this track when I drive there. Feels amazing, an absolute masterpiece.
I am listening to this at work in the 'background' now. While I have listened to this a thousand times, I keep coming back to the screen to watch Nicolas move, perform. I simply can't keep him in the background. And I also want to move, but I'm just stuck in my chair. How can this music be so terrifyingly amazing. I shook his hand a few week ago when he was visiting my city. I am now contemplating that moment, I should have asked him every question I had, but I didn't. Maybe it's for the best. The man will stay a beautiful mystery forever.
I got chills down my spine when they started playing planet caravan. For 6 minutes straight, every cell in my body felt perfect. Kudos for a great set/colaboration.
I feel like I’ve wasted 9 years not knowing about this! Stumbled across it looking for something bass heavy to test new ear buds. Freakin Brilliant!! It’s like Shpongle and Pink Floyd had some kind of cool love child baby. OBSESSED!!
I had the privilege to see them in 2014 at Dimension festival in Pula, Croatia. Those who know how special is the opening concert will understand. Well, I'm trying to find the words to describe what I've seen but it's really hard. I will say just this: if you take music as a sacred experience (as you should) that night I entered in a new, elevated life.
absolutely. there is something of contemporary art in this music, like some combination of videoart, "happenings', postmodernism, post-rock. I always have this impression when listening to him - he is not just a dj, not just a composer, not just a signer ( with all the respect to all those who are just dj etc); there is something else , some form of wholeness. it is just pure art. and passion.
Yes, now a days we have big artists with the universal mens old,the Mozart, Bach, Beethoven, Vivaldi, gold ages, but the people today don't see it,the world live in matrix,no more development....

amazing performance. amazing location. amazing time

I like how Nicolas Jaar dances the entire time whenever he performs a set.

Coincidences don't exist. It's the pattern. It's destiny
Hope you decided to ditch the tunes and "went outside"
I've been listening to this nonstop since my brother came to my room and said; "You have to listen to this!" :)
My brother usually comes to my room and farts, so I guess, you are a lucky person.
From 5 minutes ago?
Things like these are nothing but a gift from the gods. No wealth, no cars, no material can beat it. It's grace.
This always gets me to another place. A "no problems" place.
I cant get sick of this set. Really good. With the right amount of ambience.
no words to describe it! I had the fortune to listen to them live, supernatural
I'll never forget the first time I discovered this. Here I am 10 years later
Goddamn, that setting, that tune, hot damn motherfucking shit, this has to be one of the best concert footage I've ever seen. Gold beneath the eyes.
Best Boiler Room, timeless and for everyone.
No words to describe this beautiful music. Genius of sound and soul, making sounds that goes deeper in to your skin

One of my favorite sets for years. Pink Floyd beats + Jarr, what an insane combo👌👌👌

Me encanta Nicolas, me resulta muy sofisticado y exquisito.

I've just discovered Darkside and when I first listened to this remix I honestly thaught it was Pink Floyd playing. Awesome awesome job guys.
This is brilliant!! I had to save this video for life!
Amazingly clean and estructured, why i discovered this until now?
I so wish I was there listening to this set, looking over NY, the boats sailing by! This is Heaven...
im glad that Joaquim Phoenix is doing music again.

I absolutely agree. This live version is out of this world!
Masterpiece! Masterpiece! Masterpiece! The best music in the world!
Fabolous, so glad I found this! Greetings from Germany.
First time I listen to DARKSIDE I was on acid and I had the most beautiful feeling.. such a good psychedelic trip..it was Love since that..
I was on mushroom on the mexican hills when I listen them for the first time
It's all very beautiful, but guitar solo that kicks off at 14:24, that's really something inspiring.
Amazingggg after 9 years! Still better than many!. Nico has that something 😎
Masterpiece,
,, pure musical euphoria ! Thank you Sirs Jaar & Harrington so much .
Wow these two just simply get it. Incredible ART in every dimension!
Got this playing in the background. One can so easily forget this is a live set.
I can listen to this over and over and over. Great show guys. I wish I was there.
2 genius’s putting on a clinic. This is what experiencing vs listening is all about. Absolute bliss. I’d die to see them live.
The music that starts at 30:00 ..... Just brilliant. Feels like it's pulling the emotional chords of the brain
This is the high water mark for boiler room sets...pure magic
Nicolas Jaar is ART 🤤🤌🏼
The taste in music is fantastic, it really brings chills down my spine.
One of the rarest musicians today...

11 years just passes at a glimpse😲
i have no words - just emotion
Planet Caravan!! coming back to this music in my work is a beautiful darkside
16:55 drove my soul straight to darkness and I loved it
Nico's faces when he goes crazy with the knobs are the best lol. Also, minute 28 gets me into trance state. Great performance.
They put Planet Caravan in to this set! :D Nicolas Jaar I love you even more!
Sublimity!
5 years ago ... still fabulous
Sooo in love with this. Darkside vs. NYC Skyline. BLISS!
Lo escucho desde hace años y no deja de fascinarme, tal vez por ser en NYC, pero es espectacular!!
Reverb is one hell of an effect
what about the Delay, whatttt????
Delay is godly! It may be my favourite, right next to fuzz and tremolo
Yep. I'm a beginner to moderate guitarist and everytime I play, i crank the reverb and all of a sudden everything sounds much better.
Time based effects are one hell of a drug*
lolz
Edgy - captivating - awesome beats - great guitar - totally an experience
while you listening to the set and brushing your teeth, the Planet Caravan comes in. Thats what is called a GOOD MORNING !!
still in 2020 a majestic peace of music... epic
This is by far the best set from their Darkside tour. Most favourite moment @13:58
what is the track starting at that moment ? Freak, Go Home?
Finally someone to step on that side after Pink Floyd. Brave Nicolas Jaar. You bring so much hope.
Nico is my God. My man soon enough. We are one :)
People listened to this…
They are the chosen one
I could just loop this continuiously.....smooth...
It’s unbelievable!!!! FANTASTIC!!!ORGASMIC!!!!!
Its been almost 3 years since I heard this for the first time, and it still sounds amazing
That last song is so unbelievably epic, it...well...goosebumps everywhere!!!
I feel like I’ve wasted 9 years not knowing about this! Stumbled across it looking for something bass heavy to test new ear buds. Freakin Brilliant!! It’s like Shpongle and Pink Floyd had some kind of cool love child baby. OBSESSED!!
This is it! I relapse on this from time to time and guess what? It's as awesome as the first time I listened it!
I had the privilege to see them in 2014 at Dimension festival in Pula, Croatia.

When nicolas play in Uruguay he begin the set with, viejo mi querido viejo, the sing for fathers in America latina,he touch souls
Love this band and have seen this several times. Great vibes!!
this music consumes me more than i consume it
True story. Can't find better words.
Wowzah! I could have been listening to this for the last six years, and only discovered it today...
absolutely. there is something of contemporary art in this music, like some combination of videoart, "happenings', postmodernism, post-rock.
