Great tour! Love that your wife got you Christmas lights for ambient lighting. We've done a few cross country trips very simple and bare bones. Making great memories and enjoying life is worth getting out and about.

I had that issue when I first got mine. I used Gear Aid seam sealer on the seam at the clips on the outside. Stopped the water from dripping. Softopper sells it I believe. But you should be able to find it somewhere local to you.
I really enjoyed the tour I enjoy the simple yet highly functional setup also you can convert it in a heartbeat like you said to use for other things. You get to keep all the function of your truck while also having a nice camper setup. Makes sense to have it so you can use it for multiple purposes. Great set up!
