Great job 😊 been looking at the softopper as well for my truck, hard shells now are so pricey $$ yikes! Looks like it works just right for you - and it’s comfterble too 😉
Thanks. Yes they are. That was my reasoning going with the softopper. It does what I need and does it very well. Yes. It is comfterble lol. Thanks for watching.
how do you travel with it, fold at the tailgate?
Living in California How do you secure that 🤔🤔🤔
Hi. Thanks for watching. The rails the top snaps on to. Is mounted to the truck bed with four clamps.
U need to trim your beard.
Thanks for watching.
"Comfterble" is not a word.
Thanks for watching.
In all the years I lived there, I don't think I ever saw the water this low.
Thanks for watching. It was a beautiful hike. How much higher is the water usually?
The "stream" you crossed on the bridge can be a raging torrent in spring...I love this hike. Can't do it anymore so this is great. Thank you!
Thanks for watching! This was my intention when making these videos. Take people with me to enjoy the scenery and journey that they may not have the opportunity to see. I am glad you enjoyed this as I had a lot of fun on this hike.
Hey, I just came across your channel in the past week, so I've going back to catch up on all your camping vids. Enjoying the content. I noticed that you haven't been posting much this year, so hopefully you haven't given up on YT, since I just found your channel. I am 48 and also still love my cereal and Pop Tarts. I did try the Apple Jacks Pop Tarts, and thought they were so terrible that I threw away the rest of the box. I'll stick to my brown sugar cinnamon Pop Tarts.
@@ctheiler33 Hey thanks for stopping by. Appreciate the support and thanks for watching. I haven’t given up on YT. Life has had other plans for me this year. Just haven’t been able to go out as much. I do plan on getting back out there and pick the videos back up. Yes. The Apple Jacks Apple Jacks Pop Tarts are not good. I tried them hot to see if that would make a difference. Nope. It did not. lol Brown sugar cinnamon all the way!
@@wadesoutdooradventures Cool. Thanks for the reply. I live in LaGrange KY, just a few miles northeast of Louisville, and I work in downtown Louisville. I go to LBL a lot, as I really love it there. In fact, I will be camping there this weekend. Take care.
@@ctheiler33 That’s awesome! I’ll be heading that way with the family in a few weeks. They don’t like to camp, so we’ll be staying in a cabin.
Enjoyed the video man. Just subscribed to your channel for future vids. Keep up the good work and good luck out there.
Thanks for watching and for subscribing. I’m hoping to get back out soon. Miss making videos.
@@wadesoutdooradventures good luck
@@bloodlinefishingadventuresllc Thanks!
Thats not dirt, it's decoration
I like it! Thanks for watching!
I just got my softtopper, for my 22 RAM Rebel @@wadesoutdooradventures
@@hadenough9495 Very nice! I love mine. Been a great investment.
how big is your truck bed?
I’ve got the 6.’5” bed. I’m 6’1” so it works lol. Thanks for watching.
The inside straps collect water and drip I’ve noticed with mine
I had that issue when I first got mine. I used Gear Aid seam sealer on the seam at the clips on the outside. Stopped the water from dripping. Softopper sells it I believe. But you should be able to find it somewhere local to you.
Love everything Sabe related. Can't look at that FUGLY mop on your face a minute longer.
Thanks for watching anyway. Appreciate the view.
Looks like a great mount! Can the pole/transducer be removed completely for transportation? I'm looking at different mounting options and my big concern is that I don't want to leave it on the kayak if I have to park somewhere.
Yes. You sure can. I have mine mounted with the cables running inside the hull. If you don’t mount it like that. You can remove it completely.
hey bro i just bought one of these fishing specialties poles with the ram mount for the prospective mode. do u sill enjoy yours? any drawbacks so far?
I do still enjoy it. It kind of gets in the way where I have it mounted. But only when I’m using the peddles. I need to move it back out of the way a bit lol. I hope you enjoy it.
@@wadesoutdooradventures thanks friend, I’m excited to get in the water and try it but Michigan weather says different
Enjoyed the video!
Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed it. :)
Thanks for the tour! I'm looking to upgrade to a soft topper soon. Ive been leaning towards wild Top bc of the integrated rack on top. love the no build set up and the friendly attitude.
Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed it and found it helpful. Appreciate the kind words. I’ll have to check Wild top out. I’ve been wanting a rack for mine.
Great video you got a sub from us
Thanks for watching and subscribing! Much appreciated!
@@wadesoutdooradventures your welcome much love from us
Breakfast of champions right there!
Indeed.
Great vid.
Thanks Tony! It was fun to make!
Good job.👍🏻 Have you ever tried canned potatoes? They come whole, sliced or diced. They are actually pretty good. Great for camping. Just season them good heat them up. They work good in a hobo dinner with the kind of steak you used. I always have an extra fork and soup spoon in the glove box of my truck cuz ya just never know when you might need one. Another idea for your dinner would be a package of tortillas. Steak & potato burritos. Inexpensive, hold up pretty good and don't need a fork to eat them.
Thanks for watching. Yeah I’ve thought about the canned potatoes. They just didn’t look appetizing lol. I’ll have to give them a try. Yeah I usually have an extra fork and spoon. But I forgot I had used them and hadn’t replaced. lol. Lesson learned. But hey fingers work in a pinch. Thanks for watching! Appreciate the comment and ideas. Peace!
Great video! Love your content bud!
Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoy. I enjoy making em. Peace!
I probably have 4 or 5 pairs of those Yum black wraparound glasses just because they’re so cheap and left a pair at home. Great pair just to throw in the kayak or car and not have to worry about anything. But the wife just bought me some ShadyRays and pumped to use them.
Yeah. I’ll be keeping the Yum sunglasses in my truck and kayak. Prolly a pair in the wife’s car just in case lol. Thanks for watching!
I just subscribed to your channel I love camping and like the way you camp keep up the good work
Thanks for the sub and for watching. Glad you enjoy the videos. I enjoy making them.
Cameron is a good guy! New sub keep up the fishing and camping videos!

what ? ... lol
My buddy likes to mess around. Thought this would be funny lol.
I rly like that setup .! The truck looks nice btw . be safe outhere ! I love the exploring & camping videos. 🔥
Thanks! Glad you like and enjoy!
Great tour! Love that your wife got you Christmas lights for ambient lighting. We've done a few cross country trips very simple and bare bones. Making great memories and enjoying life is worth getting out and about.
Thanks. Yeah She’s awesome like that. Because she tends to listen to what I’m saying sometimes. Even when I don’t remember saying things lol. I want to do a partial cross country trip. Maybe out to Colorado and back.
I really enjoyed the tour I enjoy the simple yet highly functional setup also you can convert it in a heartbeat like you said to use for other things. You get to keep all the function of your truck while also having a nice camper setup. If you have a few minutes I have a quick tour of my minivan no build over on my channel check it out if you're not busy sometime. Thank you for sharing and as always I will keep watching
Yep. I wanted something that would let me keep the function of my truck, fairly quick and easy if needed. I’ll check your van setup out for sure. As always thanks for watching!
Enjoy your videos. Awesome setup with your truck.
Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoy them, I enjoy doing them. It’s a nice space when I’m away from home.
Makes sense to have it so you can use it for multiple purposes. Great set up!
Thanks. Yeah I wanted something I could remove quickly and by myself if I needed to use the truck to haul anything. Thanks for watching!
Awesome setup!
Thanks. I’m still on the lookout for a hard top. But if I never find one. This softopper is doing a great job.
Awesome video man! Love the setup.
Thanks man. It’s comfy for sure.

@@wadesoutdooradventures you are quite welcome!
Enjoyed your video! I’m getting ready to retire and I have been buying some truck camping stuff to starting camping and fishing more. I also have a yak and would to hear about your truck set up and your fishing setup
I am working in getting a walkthru video of the truck. Weather has been a factor in that one lol. Hoping this week.
New subscriber! Happy New Year! Enjoyed the content man!
Thanks for watching and subscribing! Glad you enjoyed it. Happy New Year!
Fun hike! Yes, the saying is very true in cold weather; you sweat, you die.
Yeah. As warm as my coat and everything is. Once I started sweating. I started getting a bit of a chill. Figured. Better safe than sorry. Thanks for watching!
Great video. How does the Campbell’s chili match up nxt to hormel? I always get hormel with beans, mix it with box Mac and cheese, it’s excellent, and filling. I’m gonna have to try out the Campbells though🤘
Honestly it’s the best canned chili I’ve ever had. Better than Hormel in my opinion. I got the spicy. It’s just about right on the spicy. Thanks for watching. Happy New Year.
Great! I will definitely be giving it a try
👊🔥
Thanks for watching! Happy New Year!
What sunglasses do you use, i like it..
Those are Oakley Gauge 8 with the Prizm Sapphire Polarized Lenses, Matte Gunmetal Frame. Great pair of glasses. My favorite pair. Thanks for watching. Happy New Year!!!
Been enjoying these simple camp videos. 👏
Thanks for watching. I enjoy simple. It’s hard sometimes with all the things to do. Happy New Year!!!

2 coats polyurethane...24 hours later 2 coats of clear spray paint. Weatherproof and pretty. Ive made and sold many
Oh wow! Thanks! I was planning on the polyurethane. Didn’t think about the clear spray paint. Appreciate the comment and thanks for watching! Happy New Year!!!
@@wadesoutdooradventures I use gloss ..Krylon. just make sure poly is VERY DRY. Or can be sticky mess..lol. IM in Florida so summer heat easy peasy. I spray it on outdoor art..metal or wood..overarching paint. On ALL my walking sticks. You might want to lightly sand between each coat of poly and paint. It dries clear n shiny. Looks expensive..lol..but just a tree limb. I have even Woodburn some and embedded stones...just for fun. Even a rubber chair or crutch tip will help the end with wear and splitting. Champhor a small bit around the bottom if useing rubber and place a large blob of E6000 GLUE..(Wal-Mart) in rubber tip. Let dry 12 hours in a warmish place. Happy camping n safe travels sir. I use the marine poly..painted on with paint brush. The spray sucks. All from walmart
@@tracker5849 yeah. I used to refinish furniture with my dad. The weather always was a factor. Then I was the one who got to sand and prep lol.
@@wadesoutdooradventures poor guy. Lol!!!! Afraid I learned from you tube and trial n error...figured why not. Tree pieces were free...just a bow saw n some elbow grease.
@@tracker5849 oh. Not at all. I cherish those moments now. At the time. Oh no no no. It was getting in the way of me being a teenager lol. Nothing wrong with trial and error. Lean from mistakes and grow. I learned a lot from working on that furniture. Learning the basics. I later learned and appreciated what he was teaching me by doing the prep work.
New here. Fun watch. We’re the type of folks to also cook chef mic mac and cheese via our Jet Boil. Absolutely loved seeing you use a pellet idea for a campfire. Neat idea!
Hi welcome! It hit the spot on that cold night. I really like the pellet fire pit. It can be a little bit finicky. Smokes a lot if the pellets actually go out. So you have to be mindful of when and how you add more lol. Thanks for watching. Happy New Year!
I wonder if anyone has successfully tested preparing microwaveable products in a camping situation? Seems like Mac and cheese would take some adjusting but the instant potatoes or rice might be easier…
Yeah. The second cup came out better as far as the cheese. The Mac took a little while to soften up. But it wasn’t terrible. It worked out. Thanks for watching! Happy new year!
C____r C____k campground, stayed in the double site next door for the Thanksgiving weekend. Nice campground, for sure.
It is a very nice campground. Appreciate how you typed that. Letting me know you know without telling lol. It can be hard to get sites sometimes. Thank you for watching!
