So sick of paying $15-$20 for a sunscreen just to find it's impossible to wear.

The solution for me has been Korean sunscreens. Beauty of Joseon, Numbuzin, etc. I use regular SPF on my arms and legs and Korean SPF on my face.

All sunscreens I’ve tried burn my eyes even without entering my eyes.

Innisfree doesn't sting mine! It's the only one! I get it from Amazon. A little spendy but I just use it around my eyes and use another one for the rest of my face.

Chemical sunscreen stings my eyes. Physical sunscreen leaves white cast. It's really hard to have a sensitive & darker toned skin ☹️

This is me....a black person, dark-skinned one. The sunscreen doesn't even enter my eyes since i only apply upto the eye brows, i don't apply to the nose bridge, or under eyes. But my eyes sting and become bluury and reduce my vision!

Ahh discomfort in the eyes, a problem that is really annoying! Thank you for the video. I have been using mineral sunscreen around the eyes for a year, and it works so well! But it doesn't match well with makeup :/ (eyeshadow and concealer).

Easiest solution I’ve found is take a non minty lip balm and circling it around the eyes. It creates a barrier so sunscreen won’t leech into the eye area. You still want to wear glasses or sunglasses with UV protection. Also, children’s chemical sunscreen often include an anesthetic so you don’t feel the irritation if it does get in.
Also- keep finger tips very, very clean.

I do a similar thing but with mineral sunscreen rather than lip balm, so there’s still that layer of protection

Honestly, tried a variety and all have burned. Going to try a sunscreen stick. If that doesn’t work, the skin around my eyes are just going to get all the UVA/UVB

Im forever looking for a holy grail SPF, specifically for use around eyes and under makeup.
Something that feels non-greasy or heavy, no stinging and that leaves zero white cast.
I have to say spf's have come on leaps and bounds in the last 5 years, and ive heard that a korean skincare is more superior still as they formulate things in ways that arent yet approved for sale in the US/Elsewhere.
I would say I have combination mildly sensitive skin, and SPFs Ive recently liked are Kiehls and if youre on a budget, Bondi Sands.
Neither of which stung my eyes any more than getting a regular eye cream in there lol and neither left a white cast.
Kiehls was a lighter texture but slightly greasy and pretty pricey.
Bondi Sands comes out thick but is surprisingly light feeling on the skin, not as greasy as Kiehls imo
I have the Naked Sundays spf50 to try next and have the Nars Spf 50 Primer and Medik8 Spf eyecream both on my wishlist.
    Hope this helps somebody! 😊

Recently tried a chemical sunscreen for the first time and my eyes burned but not because it got in my eyes. I realized later than it was because I was wearing a mask. When I breathed, some of the air comes back up through the gaps around my nose and so the "fumes" of the sunscreen would blow into my eyes lol. And during my break when my mask was off I didn't have irritation. So I'm not really sure if I'm sensitive to chemical sunscreens because it's fine on my skin. At the very least I can finish the sunscreen and it's not totally unusable. Maybe I'll do the mineral sunscreen around the eyes to see if it helps.

Great tips! I use mineral for this reason, but I have never considered using a sunscreen stick! Thank you so much.

    • @jclyntoledo

Yes but the sunscreen stick should literally only be used for around the eyes because it doesn't give you as much coverage as a liquid sunscreen.
