I hope the person who suggested I try Korean sunscreens reads this: THANK YOU! For years, I'd tried almost every face sunscreen out there (In the US) and they ALL created deep cystic acne for me, within 2 weeks of starting daily use. So I could never wear a daily SPF like we should. Well! I kept sharing that in the comments here, hoping for some recommendations to try. Someone a few videos ago suggested I try a Korean brand. I tried the Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Pure Mineral Relief Daily SPF. It's 50 SPF and PA++++. It's been about 3 weeks and fingers crossed, no acne yet! Wanted to share this in case others are in the same boat -- all US sunscreens cause acne for them. Try a Korean one, maybe it will work for you! Cheers!
So true! I have oily, acne-prone, sensitive skin and I'm living in extremely hot and humid climate! I've been using a certified Korean sunscreen named "Goodal heartleaf calming moisture sun cream" and I got no acne from this sunscreen! Also, I always remove my sunscreen with double cleansing as soon as possible.
I don`t trust Asian sunscreens protection, I`ve heard a lot of stories of people in high altitude getting burned
I also use Haru Haru Woner but I wish I could find a good one in europe..
Yay! Glad you also found a sunscreen that works for you. I have normal to dry skin and I'm not at all acne-prone so it was super-frustrating to ONLY get acne from sunscreen. No acne until I would try a daily face sunscreen and then like clockwork, within 2 weeks, the deep painful pimples would start to come up. Every.time! @@laibanush5431
Where can I order it from?

I love that you released this video in january. Just a reminder for people who don't watch your videos regularly that we still need sunscreen all year round, not just in the summer!
BONDI SANDS IS AMAZING!!!! I found this in Ireland last year and it is clear for my dark skin, is cosmetically elegant, does doesnt pill up with my azaelic acid. Also used it for a month in Costa Rica in the tropical heat and it held up wonderfully. I'm oily and acne prone too and this has been my favourite sunscreen ive ever used. Lastly, you get SO MUCH, so for those who apply sunscreen daily you will find this an amazing use of your money.
Last week I started using Bondi Sands (the big body tube) on my face and YAY. Its moisturizing water-resistence is Excellent in cold windy winter freezing air (shoveling snow) AND in super dry indoor heat 😎
if it works for a darker complexion it will hopefully work for Casper the ghost over here lol. my biracial son could definitely use a sunscreen too! You have convinced me to try it especially since you liked it in a hot, humid climate! thank you!
Agreed. I find it a little greasy, personally, but it's the LEAST greasy of all the sunscreens I've used and it doesn't burn my eyes.
@@TheMaliboo98 For dark complexions, I've found it's best to apply in layers. Bondi Sands doesn't have minerals so it won't leave a cast, but it can make your son look pale if he applies it all at once. I'd do three individual sweeps to make sure he's getting enough SPF, and make sure each layer is perfectly clear before applying the next. I am white for transparency, but I've had numerous talks about SPF with people of all skin tones.
I also apply my SPF in three layers just because I feel like I'm getting a more balanced application, but that's my personal preference.
Love the Bondi Sands sunscreen! Very lightweight and affordable, perfect for body. Looking forward to your Best 2023 sunscreen video!!
I love the way you look today, Andrea. Understated, glowing and healthy: beautiful.
You are the best Dr. Dray! My husband has a medium skin tone & gets a white cast from many of the sunscreens I bring home. I'll pick from this list! Thank you!!
Love the BGS for kids. Work great for my normally dry skin.
I love Biondi Sands! It’s so easy to spread and so moisturizing.
Great list- I usually get the neutragena ones, but I’m going to add the banana boat as well.
I tried the Scinic Korean sunscreen and love it. No white cast, not greasy, and very affordable on Amazon.
My favorite dr dray content is sunscreen. I’m obsessed!!
Thanks Dray. All of the Neutrogena products I have tried burns my eyes to include the 60 sp you showed here. I prefer the Eucercin 50 sph. That just me though.
I've tried the Banana Boat and Bondi Sands ones and enjoyed both. Thanks for the affordable sunscreen recommendations. I'm all for using sunscreen but I don't want to spend a ridiculous price for them. Happy Friday, Dr Dray! I hope you, your sweet momma and little Tybee have a lovely weekend. 💜
🙏💕🕊🐈🐈💟🕊🫖☕️☕️❤️🙏
Thank you!! Just ordered the Banana Boat
Hey Dr Dray 👋🏾 nice list. My favorite seems to be the Bondi Sands cause the size is reasonable although the prices keeps getting higher in my country. Thank you for always dropping gems, do have a wonderful day.
i hope it stays affordable, it is so good
Life saver! Thank you so much Dr. Dray. 😊
Oh I’m definitely picking up the banana boat it’s $7 on Amazon and absolutely love it includes vitamin c and niacinamide
Excellent teaching again Dr. Dray. Also I am loving the Some by Mi V10 HYAL 50++++ sunscreen. It’s fabulous.
As always, you’re awesome! I’d love a video on “best of” water resistant sunscreens, regardless of price point!
I'm always on the search for affordable sunscreens, especially when its Dr. Dray approved. I found the Eucerin, Daily Protection Face Lotion SPF 30 to be a current favorite.
I use that Banana Boat one, but the body version. Bigger tube and cheaper. It smells like oranges! The fragrance doesn't irritate my face.
I am a big fan of Bondi Sands. I took it with me on my beach vacation where I was 5 degrees away from the Equator and IT WORKS. I do find a slight difference in the Face version versus the Body in how it feels on the skin--the Body version goes on more like a lotion. But they both work well and leave no white cast on my brown skin. It's shiny, but it's really comfortable to wear, even when you are literally sweating your face off like I usually am.
Thanks Dr. Dray! Always trust your advice!
I have been searching for the perfect sunscreen forever. I finally found Neutrogena Ultra Sheer moisturizing face serum 60+. Fragrance Free. I wear it every day! Rain or shine! Please never discontinue! Love this product!
That Banana Boat sunscreen is incredible!! 🙌🏻 I was nervous to try it because of the coconut oil, but I'm so glad I did. It's such a smooth, comfortable formula, nicely hydrating, and it actually makes my makeup sit better on my face. I absolutely love it! 👌🏻
Did the vitamin c in it get rid of some of your dark marks .
@@Miauhh158 I don't have dark marks, so I couldn't speak to that. But my skin definitely looks nicer when I use it. I'm actually about to empty my tube, and I will definitely be repurchasing. I hope this helps! :)
Last week I started using Bondi Sands (the big body tube) on my face and YAY. Its moisturizing water-resistence is Excellent in cold windy winter freezing air (shoveling snow) AND in super dry indoor heat 😎
As soon as I get done with what I’m using I’m going to try one of these. TFS & have a great weekend
Thank you so very much for all your skincare help!
Hi , I love your channel and your very sincere approach to dermatology products.
Do you have any concerns with Elf being made in China? I have heard that there have been issues of contaminants being found in some of the cosmetics made in China .
I would love your thoughts.
Thanks
Thank you Dr Dray.i appreciate this video. I am with you on the fragrance free.
You are so welcome!
@@DrDrayzday Accutane and Finasteride are destroying so many lives.
Would you mind taking a deep dive into avobenzone for us? Safe? Not safe? Good uva blocker vs. endocrine disrupter?
It’s in so many sunscreens and lip balms. Thank you, always enjoy you!
Hi Dr Dray! I made a list of your favorite sunscreens. I’ve been using La Rache Posey, but need to repurchase a new one soon. Thank you ❤
Happy Friday ❤ Thanks for the nonstop knowledgeable information!
thanks for watching
I like the Elf Invisible spf 35. Its actually matte, and water resistant. Great for oily skin on top of a mattifying moisturizer.
The best affordable sunscreen Ive tried is Sun Basics from the Dollar Tree. It comes in 3oz or 4oz depending on the store. Has a really nice dry down. There is fragrance in it, but that hasn’t been an issue for me.
I’ve literally used every sunscreen on this list except the Banana Boat and got along well with all of them and even repurchased most! Using the Verdio rn!
As always thank you for the analysis of affordable and effective sunscreens. It is so important that these products are available for us to use daily. Have a lovely day, Dr Dray! 💐
In Australia I can’t speak highly enough of the Cancer Council range especially when it is on special in Discount Chemist. The Hyaluronic Acid SPF50 is so good and there is a big range of tinted and non tinted. Also all the profits all go to cancer research. PS -also love BoJ SPF50 Just luxurious
THANK YOU Dr. Dray!!!!!!
Elf makes a sunscreen that is a spray on one and its also a setting spray. I wear makeup so i was always unable to reapply every two hours but once I found the ELF spray ut changed my life. I use it several times a day and it makes my makeup look great and protects my skin and its affordable so im not afraid to really give myself a good spraying and I need to sun protection bc i use a lot if actives in my skin care. Retinol and Vit C and estrogen cream, peptides. Not all at the same time of course but I need good sun protection all day. Love your videos!
As someone with very dry skin, Black Girl Sunscreen for Kids does NOT require an additional layer of moisturizer...
Thank you. I was wondering that! 😊
I haven't tried any of them but currently i finished the LRP anthelios spf 50+ moisturizing lotion fragrance free kids one and it was super moisturizing and on sale too. Now I'm using the rilastil sun system con pro-dna complex kds velvet lotion 200 ml fragrance free 16 euros and it works well (it's only the beginning so time will tell). I liked the video it's super fun and each sunscreen you choose worth every sec 😊❤.
Hi Dr. Dray! I was just wondering, if I didn’t need to stay in this price point, would you recommend the DRMTLGY tinted one that I’ve seen you recommend before or would you go with La Roche Posay which you also recommend a lot? Thank you so much!
I need a new SPF. I’m currently using one I’ve only been able to buy online. Plus, my eyes seem to be ridiculously susceptible to stinging and watering when using organic sunscreen. Very frustrating.
Happy Friday, Dr. Dray. I appreciate you and that you share your knowledge with all of us ☺️
I enjoyed watching this informative video, thank you for sharing 😀 I bought the Vanicream Facial moisturizer with SPF 30 19.5% Zinc Oxide ☀ I have very sensitive skin, this sunscreen doesn't irritate my skin at all. This sunscreen gives the skin a nice matte finish 🥰 Take care everyone 🌹
I Iove the Black Girl Sunscreen Kids for my face, mainly during the fall and winter months as I have an oily t-zone. (During the spring and summer I use Super Goop unseen sunscreen.) I also have the original Black Girl Sunscreen moisturizing sunscreen lotion for face and body SPF 30, but I prefer to put that one on my body more than my face.
Its so good in the winter specifically these past couple weeks during this winter freeze.
These are helpful videos, many of us simply can't afford expensive products. Thanks, Dr Dray! Can you please do more videos on telegen effluvium after COVID?
Happy Friday you all! This video reminds me of the very very first time I used sunscreen, it was from Coppertone, I got it in Walmart. It was similar to the Black Girl one, probably repackaged or discontinued now. Then I started doing some research and that’s when I found Dr Dray’s channel. And that’s the story of how I fell in love with using Sunscreen every day, and rest is history 🙂 Btw, I did like Bondi Sands too, I used it on my body, very affordable option. All thanks to Dr Dray!❤
Edit: It was the Coppertone Oil free face 50 SPF
I love that Coppertone for the face too!
Thanks for these happy Friday all
Glad you like them!
I found Bondi Sands in a discount store and it was really nice. I'd pay the fu price for it but currently trying 2 other SPFs right now. 😊
Verdio pump costs less than $15 where I live❤ such a good value!
Happy weekend Dr Dray….see you tomorrow x💙🤩
Please do more makeup tutorials! I just wish it was slower and explaining more because it was too fast for me lol. I want to see how you do your brows too! They’re perfect!
Im new to your vids, and I'm starting to enjoy them. I have a little eczema and a little psoriasis on my elbows. Need to go through the vids to see what you recommend. Also, just going to say it.. you are bloody gorgeous!
Dr.Dray can you do an updated video on PMLE and the best sunscreens to use!
I never get tired of your sunscreen videos!
Riemann P20 sensitive is my favorite one. I use their "body" version on my face to save a few bucks. They seem to have released two new series ("Urban shield" and "hyperpigmentation defense") which haven't been published on their website yet.
I know you've mentioned both P20 and Evy before regarding their "long-lasting" claim and how it doesn't translate to real life use (which is true). However, I really do think it lasts *longer* than your typical sunscreen even if it isn't 10 hours. It works wonderful on dry skin since it's very hydrating. Would love to hear your thought on this brand more in detail. I would like to know if the new series are bogus or not. P20 seem to have gotten more popular here in Europe lately.
Can you please review Isdin sunscreens? They are far from affordable but best I’ve ever used. Love the elegant emulsion that sinks right into the skin. Hoping I’m getting my money’s worth! Thank you so much!!
What’s the best sun screen to wear under makeup for everyday use ? I’m just starting my sun screen journey
I kinda want to try the elf sunscreen eventually. Btw, Dr. Dray, could you consider reviewing the brand “Prequel” skincare??? I use their new spf, urea body milk & Gleanser and LOVE them but would like to know your thoughts. Thx. 😊❤
Looove the ELF(not tinted). It feels so good going on, not greasy. Stings my eyes a little but I just add ELF putty primer on top and it doesn't budge.
Happy Friday Dr Dray so excited to be here I live for this ❤️

Hi Dr.Dray I was wondering what your opinion is on the cerav hydrating mineral sunscreen 50 with zinc oxide, titanium, hyaluronic and niacinamide? Thank you
I feel like that face was meant for me bc I haven't tried out bondi sands sunscreen, I know! I don't know what I've been waiting for. Also I've been stocked up on sunscreens but I'm adding it and gonna try it out asap. Thank you in advance for all the recommendation.
Bondi Sands is fantastic.
Hi Dr Dray. Is the Banana Boat good under makeup? Thanks
yes 👍
Which UV filter blocks out the most UVA? Is the gold standard still Avobenzone?
Good morning Dr Dray ❤
Morning!
Happy Friday, Dr. Dray ❤
You too!
HELLO, could you please consider making a skincare routine for teenegers/youngadults with products from Target or walmart. I love your content, but sometimes Im not sure what's best for my skin ❤
Thank you for this list. Your description of the products, and the price of each, will give me some new ones to try. One question. Did you have trouble with burning or stinging around the eyes with any of these? That is my major problem with many sunscreens.
Oh gosh, the stinging is the worst... I have such a hard time finding sunscreens that don't. 😢
My experience is that I’ve had no burning of my eyes with the Black Girl for Kids nor the Banana Boat + Vitamins. And I definitely put it close to my eyes and on my eyelids. Just my experience, of course.
The Kroger Shimmer sunscreen is so irritating to my eyes. I couldn't stop blinking & my eyes watered. I had to wash it off.
I generally have no stinging with Asian sunscreens, though most of the US ones burn. However, I've been somewhat lucky with Bondi Sands--it stings sometimes, but not nearly as badly as others.
I just bought Eucerin sunscreen tint. Its new to me at least. Can you review it?
Dr Dray PLEASE do a video on OneSkin!!
the sunless tanners don't irritate my face, but they do fill all the pores I find and leave my face looking muddy or dirty rather than tanned so I opt to just use some kind of skin tint or tinted moisturizer/sunscreen when I want some additional color
I agree there’s no ingredient out there that 100% breaks out every acne prone skin, we all individually have our personal clogging triggers that we have to avoid. I tried oil cleansing with coconut oil before I knew anything and it broke me out so bad so there’s my confirmation that it’s not for me.
Love Your Sunscreen Videos Dr. Dray!! Thank You Always for the Information!! Happy Friday have a Wonderful Day and Weekend!!💕

It didn't affect the roads much because they had been pre treated. Just a few icy patches. We probably got a couple of inches. How's the weather where you are? Did you get more snow? LOVE the the Trader Joe's facial sunscreen. Hard to get to a TJ so listening for a secondary option.
0:12 this sunscreen is amazing. No cast for me! No burning eyes.
Unfortunately not available in 🇨🇦
Funny thing about LaRoche Posay is that I can get the European version (with the better ingredients than those available here) online and have it shipped across the pond cheaper than I can buy it in the Walgreens up the street. It's been my go-to sunscreen for summer days in the pool for years now.
How?
I want to know this too. What website ships LaRoche Posay to the US?
Thank you Dr. Dray. How about Bioré watery essence? Can you please review this too?
Dr Dray has reviewed this one.
What do you think about Beauty of Josean?
Dr. Dray, I love when do show these videos. Banana Boat Face is my go to as well as the up&up lip balm spf, ty. However, for my body, the up&up spf! Bondi, no way, sorry.
Problem is they are still too small. Why can’t face sunscreens be like over 200ml like body sunscreens?
Face sunscreens are smaller than body sunscreens because they're designed to cover a smaller area of skin. Face sunscreens are also more expensive than body sunscreens, and often contain skin-beneficial and anti-aging ingredient
Cuz money…
@@tiloo4949You’re technically supposed to be using sunscreen everyday. So if you are doing that, a smaller bottle becomes less efficient.
The Bondi Sands one for the body is small 😭
@@katherine325 I’ve recently heard Bondi Sands failed it safety test.
the very very best ever sunscreen for oily skin is hydro fluid by Eucerin, give it a try is like water light like nothing else in the market, I use to love their dry touch but this one is much better
Not mentioned, but you put me on to Isehan Kiss Me Mommy SPF 50. Literally the best sunscreen EVER. I’ve been wearing it for 2 years, I even buy it in bulk from Japan 10 at a time. I got my VERY stubborn friend who hates all skincare obsessed with it; she even ships it home to India for her family. You are amazing, love you Dr. Dray!
I second this!! It’s the only daily face sunscreen I’ve been wearing for 2 years now and I don’t think the price is bad at all
This is one of my favorites too

Hi Dr. Dray, could you do a video on Daxxify, new alternative to Botox :) Would love to know your thoughts. Xx
I’m looking for the perfect sunscreen since forever. I’m always coming back to Paulas Choice Resist Wrinkle Defense SPF30. I have normal/combination skin and I like more the tinted sunscreens. Any tips? Preferably SPF30-50.
Colorscience may work for you
Hi!😊 thank you so much for this video because I am really hating Neutrogena on my face now, trying it a second time, and I don't know what they have done to this sunscreen. I need to find a new sunscreen for my face. I even think it's making me turn red in certain places on my face. Could they have changed the formula? I do intend to call them and let them know what I'm experiencing and how the sunscreen separates into water and very thin liquidy cream and it is far from its expiration date.
Try their Neutrogena beach defense 50 sunscreen stick. It’s really good and doesn’t hurt your eyes. I’ve been using it for over a year with no problems. I really love it.
Thank you for this thorough video! I am wondering why therea are no Korean sunscreens in this list. Do you not like them? For instance the Beauty of Joseon sunscreen?
Dr Dray has mentioned the BOJ sunscreen a number of times and obviously can't mention them all. The majority of these are drugstore products that can be found here in the US.
She likes Korean sunscreen. Korean is affordable, maybe they were over the $15 mark. I think she was trying to keep it under 15. Just a guess. But yes she likes many Korean sunscreens 😊they are great!
@@alyshal417 thank you so much for replying!!
Can u try APLB glutathione niacinamide products it is everywhere with great deals please i want to know they are good to buy
Hi Dr! Do you anything about Limonium gerberi extract? It is in the Kroger sunscreen, and I have been afraid to try it since there isn't a lot of info on it. Google says it is sea lavender. I was curious if it is considered highly likely to be irritating, or if most people can tolerate it.
They aren't 100% but incidecoder and cosdna say it's hair conditioning, skin protecting.
I’ve taken your advice on the Black Girl Kids Sunscreen. I find it does have a slight sunscreen scent, but otherwise a great formula for face and body for the price!
I actually love the sunscreen smell of the Black Girl Kids sunscreen LOL. I find this one turns ever-so-subtly yellow on my face throughout the day.
I now find using any Chemical filtered spf regardless of how "soothing" the ingredients are/ no fragrance or alcohol, my skin still irritates and goes red flushed.
I think I'm more sensitized due to using the likes of glycolic etc, however I generally believe my skin just dislikes chemical filters. My go to is Aqua Skin Milk " blue bottle" although it's now doubled in price on Amazon UK.
Any new recommendations of a low white cast would be helpful. Thanks Guys
What about Cerave am moisturizing sunscreen. All I use.
Can you discuss how to use facial sunscreen with make up foundation? I don’t know if I’m rubbing off the sunscreen. I do wear tinted sunscreen that looks like foundation.
How do you feel about nicinamide by mouth to help protect skin from sun damage?
