Took one out for a test drive last year and I was really impressed by its city driving performance. It will definitely be on my shopping list when comes the time to trade in my trusty little Versa hatchback.
The lack of lumbar support is a no go for me, I owned a 2022 Nissan frontier and the seats killed my back to drive. I had to add a lumbar pillow to drive it comfortably. The newer seats on the Nissan product are called zero gravity seats, they almost have you sitting in a clam shell position where you’re hunched over. So for long road trips it can get quite uncomfortable. If you have any kind of back issues at all the seats are not that comfortable.
Just remember a small engine is fine for most city driving with one or two occupants. If your talking about loading it up a lot them a bigger engine would be better. I have a Mazda 3 with the 2.0 litre engine and it is fine for my mostly city driving, but on the highway the lack of torque causes it to downshift on the slightest hills.

The back seats not folding flat is a fail for me. I travel with a dog so it has to be flat. I’ve often climbed into the back to have a nap at rest spots and you can’t in this vehicle. also the giant wheel wells jutting into the trunk space. Those hooks in the back are way too low to hold up grocery bags.
I think the Kicks is a great little car. We sell a good number of them at our dealership. In fact, I just sold my friend his 3rd Kicks last week. His first got totaled, then he traded in his SV for a SR Premium. I like the look of the front end, but I prefer the wheel design and rear end of the pre-refreshed model. The rear discs and new armrest are nice additions.
It's definitely a nice inexpensive but practical option for a lot of people. For sure on the armrest and rear disc brakes too. Thanks for stopping by sir!
i want this suv kicks like i said in another video but i'm getting scared off from so many saying to stay away because of the cvt. anybody else worried about cvt issues
@@garyspringer5064 The issue is yours is very young though. Not a lot of Nissan CVT owners netting 200k miles from their original CVT. This is unacceptable. Toyota's eCVT and ICE AISIN steel chain CVT is much more reliable than Nissan's JATCO push belt CVT, history has shown over the last decade. Change your CVT fluid every 30k miles and cross your fingers.
Agreed I don’t like these rims. I bought the demo CHR at Toyota that they had swapped out the black and asked them to put the other option silver/chrome back on.

I own a 2019 Kicks SV, and in snowy or icy conditions with snow tires there are no issues at all Greg, it is a great vehicle overall.

Equipped with a JATCO CVT that will not last 100k miles let alone 200k miles.
