  • The #NissanKicks has had a huge glow up for 2025 and it grows in size, technology, and presence. The #KicksSR is the sportiest trim level and #Nissan has finally added AWD to the options list with a new 2.0L 4-cylinder engine from the Sentra under the hood. Expect the new #Kicks to be in showrooms later this summer.

Too bad it’s underpowered and slow. According to Alex on Autos, this new 2025 Kicks SR AWD will actually be slower than the old Kicks due to the extra 400-500 pounds of weight. This is despite the 19 extra horsepower. Expect a zero to 60 of 12-13 seconds. Also with the top SR Kicks trim now touching 30k most likely, it’s just not an affordable city car anymore, I’d rather buy a base Rogue or Forester or CX-5

I rented a 2024 Nissan Sentra recently while on vacation and I was surprised at how smooth and responsive it was despite the slightly underpowered hp and torque on paper, great for a daily driver. Didn’t the Kicks replace the Juke?? So wouldn’t this be the third version??

I have a Juke SL AWD. The original Kicks did not have AWD, and had significantly less horsepower. But yes, the Kicks was the successor to the Juke.

Having the AWD would stop me from buying. I don't want to pay an extra $ amount for something I do not want. These are supposed to be affordable and with the AWD an option you can expect many dealers will equip the Kicks with it. Very little benefit to have AWD on FWD vehicle.

Pretty sure the lower model's are fwd

I bought a 2024 Chevy Trax for my wife because we both agreed that FWD is just fine and we also wouldn't have wanted to pay extra for that feature - $22k out the door for the Trax beats probably closer to $30k for this with AWD in my opinion - Nice looking vehicle though but if it starts at close to $25k then it sure doesn't have much of a value proposition compared to the Trax/Envista which start at thousands less and don't have a CVT.

@@loki_wolffI think it is optional on all trims. I just don't see why every reviewer gets so excited that it is now offered. For vehicles such as the Kicks, it is just great profit for the manufacturer/dealer and not much for the consumer.

The new design is appealing. Now only if they have the hybrid system

It's similar like a Mitsubishi XFORCE in ASEAN Market, but the platform is different

Missed opportunity for them to make a "kick" liftgate -- given the name. Nice looking suv though.

Legit surprised by that amount of Kick sales. I very rarely see any here in NYC. I still wouldn't choose it over the Mazda options however. Mainly due to the inferior engine & transmission.
