I don’t understand all the hate on this car. If you don’t like it get something else. People complain over the dumbest stuff. It’s too “slow”, it’s not a hellcat ladies and gentlemen. This car is meant for someone who wants to commute to and from work. If you want to race get a Lamborghini or something. Y’all are lame. I love my car and I have no problem going the speed limit or above. Maybe some people don’t know how to drive…
I'm leasing a 2019 Kicks SV and it has been a very fun, reliable, economical and trouble free car. Its more than peppy enough for around town driving plus I have no problem with highway driving. When I need to merge into traffic or pass another vehicle its never a problem, more than enough power. Also, in strictly highway MPG I regularly average 40 MPG and a few times got 43 mpg. My lease on this one is almost up and I've already made arrangements to transition into a lease for a 2022 Kicks SV. That's how much I like this car.
I have the lowest trim and it's perfect for me even passing. I think it is much better than his reviews. I didn't get scared at all passing. It's prefect for anyone who is not speedy Gonzalez!!
Love my 23 looks like the one in the video but with more extras and Bose stereo system. This guy is nuts. I can get up to 90 easy on the interstate with ease. It’s an SUV not a Corvette!!!
I just recently bought this exact car. Only addition is that I have the auto-adjusting rear-view mirror. I got rid of my Toyota Tacoma because I realized I don't need that expensive of a vehicle to drive 100 miles a month. So far, this thing is all I need and I'm very happy with it. Don't come into it expecting it to drive like a Porsche; that's not what it is. But, if you're looking for a nice little commuter car that gets around 30 mpg around town, it's hard to beat this thing for $25-27k. My only wish is that it came in an AWD model.
@@fedamfm I generally get 29 around town and 42 on the expressway. I looked today and my average was 33, so they are pretty accurate with their statistics. But I don't drive like a maniac. The faster I drive, the fewer miles I get per gallon.
I purchased a 2021 Nissan kicks I have had it for almost a year and I love it it wasn’t meant to be fast it’s a subcompact suv it’s great on gas I think it looks good it’s fun to drive my honest opinion if you want more power get a Nissan rogue the Nissan kicks for being a small suv it has a lot of room I’m averaging 35 mpg in the city I don’t get on the highway much but by the time I get on the highway I’m doing 60 miles per hour I plan to keep it for a while so I bought weather tech floor mats got the windows tinted and I also bought after market wheels and a after market sound system and still have room for groceries and other stuff when I go shopping
If this was 4X4 it would be a runaway Hit with the content it has. I would say a Electric Rear Motor as in Hybrid to offer awesome MPG and add HP. That 122 HP was basically what the V-8’s on the early 80’s had. I had a 4.2 V-8 in my new T-Bird 115hp. No one complained it was not powerful. Today we scoff at a 4 popper with that HP.
You're totally right. This guy is too young to know what a slow car is. Remember the 1982 nissan sentra 67hp and a 0-60mph in 14 seconds. We had lots of fun with tthese little cars.
Took the SR Premium out for a test drive (and eventual purchase) yesterday and I was impressed. Yes, it's not a sports car so I wouldn't expect it to go 0-100 (I'm Canadian) in 7 seconds. Most speed limits up here are 100-110 so it is fine for me since I'm not a racer. I would like a wireless charging mat but not gonna cancel the purchase because of that. :)
Nice looking car. I would think there would a few more bells and whistles for that trim level but it looks like a fun car to drive. Thanks for reviewing.
I have one in SR with 80K miles on it. Would i buy it again? Absolutely. It just keeps on going with little gas. My commute is 90 miles each day. 70-75 mph on the highway is comfy, i never drive over 75 mph. I expect this little thing to go 250k miles or more with no major problem.
I've 2021 Kicks.... I love it... it's got a lot trunk space.... but... I don't like there's no extra cup holders or cubby holes are small... but I love on the moat part
At least you didn't gun it until part way through your drive. You showed more restraint than other reviewers. I'm sure tromping down on the pedal is hard on the transmission. Drivers who do that on a regular basis will soon need a new transmission in my humble opinion.
The Kicks in Asian market has e-Power system, which is basically an electric engine and a gasoline operated generator. They should bring it to the west instead of keeping this underwhelming 1.6 litre engine.
Hey I’m liking to purchase Nissan kicks - don’t know if I should just buy the sv edition or spend the extra which is 2800 extra gets me the sr premium. I’m on a budget but at the same time don’t know which is the better deal aka better choice Any help would be appreciated ✨
It depends on what is important to you. I got the SV. I really didn't want the fake leather seats. I figure they might crack, and the stitching might come loose. I was happy with cloth seats. I think they look more expensive. They still have contrasting stitching. I don't need heated seats or a heated steering wheel. I don't need a leather wrapped steering wheel, more stiches to get dirty or come loose. I don't need the Bose sound system. I don't even like the silver stripe on the SR, and I'm not sure I like the spoiler on the SR version. I would have liked the 360-camera view. The SV doesn't have that. Mine came with the black alloy wheels, but that was $495.00 extra. I also think I'd like the cargo cover. If I buy it now, it will cost me over $240.00. I think I'd also like the LED headlights on the SR, but I'm not sure as I never had them, and I understand LED lights blind other drivers. I'd also like the daytime running lights. I thought mine came with that, but it doesn't. I don't need a WIFI hotspot. I don't want to pay to connect with Nissan if I have trouble on the road. I'm enjoying my free trial of Sirius radio, but it is pretty expensive once the free trial is up. There were just a few things I'd have liked to have added to my SV version, but some of them had to be factory installed not dealer installed. You wrote three months ago, so maybe you already have a new car.
For a 20K vehicle as a base it's fine, but that CVT engine from Nissan I can't stand. I have owned one, and I must say a 4 and 5 speed classic transmission is way (like WAY) better with small 1.6 & 1.8 liter engines.. If they put in a 5-speed in, I would buy this immediately as my next vehicle. The more expensive SR model should have 4X4. Wake up Nissan, never mind the Bose sound and focus on what people really need especially in the winter! I'm in Canada and we have winter here.
I just bought the SV and there's no problem passing cars on the freeway plenty of power so I don't know Why you salesman are complaining about about you're trying to sell a vehicle but you're underselling it maybe go back to school on how to screw people with selling cars
The JATCO CVT transmission isn't very reliable. A strict every 30000 miles CVT fluid filter & flush is a good idea 💡 to prolong its life. It's a belt driven type, not a chain driven CVT like Hyundai and Toyota
Very cheap materials i have 2021 sr less than a year the shifter console pop up. Its a nice Sub compact suv fun to drive but the only problem is the interior materials they use. So cheap...
Who needs a 300 hp for a city driving car? And AWD is for those who can't drive without the false sense of security that it gives them. Good snow tires gets you everywhere.

Finally…. The comment i am waiting for!😂 i dont know why they telling its too slow.. i mean c’mon people, buy a ferrari or lambo if you want speed 😂😂😂
Thank you!
I have this exact car. Had it for almost 6 weeks, love it!

I bought a 22 SR and LOVE IT the vents for the backseats are under the driver seats!
I'm buying my Kisks this week. Your video made me realize I made correct decision. It's just what I need. Thanks!

Brought a SR 2022 waiting on it to arrive. I'm so excited
Just leased this SR version a few weeks ago in Boulder Gray. Love it. So fun to drive and great looking too. 👍🏼
is it really that bad on the highway?
Do you regret getting sr or do you love it ?
I’m deciding between sv or the sr premium

What is the mileage per full tank?

Awesome review!
Why cant more car manufacturers integrate the display into the dash instead of super glueing a kids tablet to the top of the dash?

Good review & great Nissan.
GOOD REVIEW & GREAT KICKS.
Nice looking car. I would think there would a few more bells and whistles for that trim level but it looks like a fun car to drive. Thanks for reviewing.
I'm looking to tow behind my motorhome so this would be perfect I went to look at one today.
The vents for the back seat are under the front seats
I don’t get all those Blank Buttons when you have the TOP Trim
Exactly my thoughts lol
Because is not available for the US 😪
I have the base and those keys control the safety functions when you don't have the extra screen

Great commuter. Gets way better mpg than advertised, if you’re nice to it.
Nissan Kicks. Awesome! 🤩

40 mpg with serious hills around here in upstate ny
Most excellent.

Can you please do a VW Passat if you can I really like those cars let me know if you can do it
I did one a couple of years ago here 👍 th-cam.com/video/JBRuDwhWSUk/w-d-xo.html

Nice more features than the hrv
Not hybrid?
I think it's great for the price
Wow
Why wouldn't you just have a trailblazer? Korean made, and better value in my mind, available with awd.
The SPORT BUTTON a will make it go faster…. The dealer doesn’t tell you that.
Amazing mileage. Coming from a Sentra, the Kicks is peppier

dafuq are you doing with it lol?
Just bought a brand new 2022 Nissan Kicks two weeks ago and the car already stalled on me 😭
Are you serious? Has Nissan fixed it?
I've had mine about a month, has been perfect. You got a dud....
Go to your dealer and have it fixed, instead of ranting and whining on every yt video about this car.
If you are looking for a fast car then buy a Corvette..
Never once said I was looking for a fast car lol.
U think he could shut the blinker off no?
What???? Too risky to change lane on highway? 😂
More like small, but way underpowered. I have no room for an SUV-ish crossover that is FWD only in my garage.
Yeah it’s a shame they are only FWD and the low power is another kick in the shins lol

@@raylang339 The Kicks does not need 300 hp, but an optional engine that gets us to 180 to 200 hp would be just about right.
@@digitaldoc100 I know it would be fun but also dangerous to drive and the gas millage would be bad and that's what people don't want.
You expect all of that for $24k?
LOL!!!!!!!!!
For the history of the CVT with Nissan’s troubling lawsuits and engine failure. I’ll get the Toyota cross.
Underpowered
