@@ryneagheilim9782 At times I had to double take as some of his movements, reads, on target strikes, and baiting looked exactly like Saenchai's.

He didn't win a belt, because champions don't want to fight him. Fear worked against him this time. 😅Getting a Gold medal is very much harder than getting a famous stadium belt. He is a self-taught ahead of his time fighter, a matrix fighter. He flows when he fight. Check his videos.

I didn't know that he actually beat the Bulgarian Serafim Todorov in the Olympics(I am Bulgarian myself) - the same Bulgarian that beat Floyd Mayweather for a gold medal - that gives you a perspective of how great he was to be so accomplished in both muay thai and boxing..

IMO, there simply isn't a gym that is comparable to the heyday of Jocky Gym. A single gym that produced all the master tricksters and evasive fighters like Lerdsila, Somrak, Saenchai, Silapathai and the 3 or 4 Kaennorasings. Pipa Jockygym probably the single head trainer that has produced the greatest/most regarded nak muays in the past 20 - 25 years

The most briliant no doubt. His truly skill is he will be able to read opponent skill wholely at the first round. So, he will always know how to deal with the rest of the fight. In his Muaythai time, the champions didn't want to fight with him, they afraid of losing their titles. So, he decided to go to Olympic and won the medal gold!

*Please Note: This could be wrong as I was told this by my Kru (ex south thailand champion in the 60's) a long time ago regarding Somrak*
He was ranked #1 in Lumpini and Radjadern but unable to get belts because back then the champions could choose who challenged for their belt. As Somrak had beaten everyone already, multiple times, they did not allow him to challenge for a belt and so he went without gaining any belts - 300+W with 11L's proves that he was the King without a belt.
He even beat Chamuekphet "The man of 9 belts" (4 lumpini, 5 radjadern) ! His greatest victory according to him.
The time was a mentality of "if my camp has a championship fighter and you want to challenge him for his belt, then you must let my fighters challenge your champions for their belts, too"
If your camp didn't have a belt then it'd be very hard to get the chance to compete for it without a large bet.
Take with a grain of salt. I need to verify it's accurate but I believe it is

you should do a video on him next he was in Black Belt Magazine seven time world champion Muay Thai Hall of Fame and I'm pretty sure this is one of the very few people to ever beat him as he was actually out maneuvering (Saekson) out doing him when they had a seminar way back in 2008 or 9

example samart older brother kongthorranee he was a muaythai champions and he change to boxing he always say to this day that he regret
and even you are a very good boxer and a champion like kaosai galaxy who win wba 19time yeah you will rich but not that rich like an american because in that year people was only interesting in heavywight
the payment on lightwight was pay veryless kaosai also saying this till this day
back to somrak he was a also boxer in teenage because the millitary have a millitary boxing leauge almost every poor people that good in sport was millitary officer because the millitary will pay you if you play for them
so now he was a lieutenant in navy he also said he was offer to be lieutenant comander but he decline because he will have to work everyday in office

No promoter would put him on a fight against their Champions, to risky and little payoff cus nobody would make bet against Somruk, and many fighters don't really want to go up the canvas with him, the way Somruk fight cause more damage then most, not just your body being destroy but your Ego and confidence as well and in some cases the damage does reach to the career aspect of his opponents also, it just the way he smile when giving you both pain and shame.
