Overclocked Gaming Monster! | Red Magic 8S Pro Review

  • Unboxing the Red Magic 8S Pro with a review of the gaming performance, now with an overclocked 'Leading' edition of Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The Red Magic 8S Pro is one of the best value gamer smartphones in 2023, also boasting a 6000mAh battery, crispy AMOLED screen with hidden in-display camera and premium specs.
    UK price and release date info hopefully coming soon as I've been testing and reviewing the Red Magic 8S Pro ahead of the official launch. Here's a link for more info: bit.ly/3pTQbtC
    While some rumours had this gaming phone powered by a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 2, it's actually a boosted version of the original chipset with a pimped up prime core. Very similar to what Samsung crammed into its S23 smartphones. The Red Magic 8S Pro is one of the beefiest Android mobiles of 2023, blazing through Genshin Impact, PubG etc - helped by that feature-packed gaming mode.
    Most of the other specs are familiar vs the Magic 8 Pro, including the huge 6000mAh battery. You've got a sharp and poppy AMOLED screen with zero notch or orifice action, thanks to the under-display camera. And the Red Magic 8S Pro doesn't disappoint with the other specs either. While I wouldn't want to use this as my full-time phone because of the huge design and lackluster cameras, it's certainly a cracker for gaming on the go.

    • @Frozoken
      @Frozoken 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @shhsjfkf2832 I mean the ultras still got that massively better looking square design but just with a punch hole. Honestly that squared off look alone puts it leagues ahead of basically anything else and the redmagic is the only other recent notable device I've seen with it. If only the display itself was as good as samsung. It couldn't crack 800 nits and was relatively colour inaccurate in tests from gsm arena and I also don't know why they're using gorilla glass 5 for the front bcuz that was also on my 7 year old s7 edge Either way if they released a $900-$1000 variant with stuff like that fixed and none of the base ram and storage upselling bs than I'd potentially get it. I also feel like a s6-s10 era samsung that never had the 2020 ceo change wouldve had something similar without the downsides by now but oh well.

    Wasn't Redmagic the phone that gives a free figurine of their mascot in the last iteration? Looks like they're not including it in future phones😅

      Red magic just says using compressed air or a good hard blow through the intake vent should do the job

    Good for gamers? This thing would be a godsend for people living in hot places cause that fan would absolutely keep it cool in the blistering afternoon heat.
    I mean for the price its at, this is a great flagship even for a regular person who doesn't game. I mean its got a massive battery, performance for days, the best cooling, etc. All that combined with a design thats REALLY gonna turn heads everywhere you go since its uninterrupted display will catch eyes.

    my first gaming phone was the rog 3 but that had such a mediocre display so i sold it to buy the black shark 5 pro but it suffered heating problems and mediocre battery life so i returned it 2 months ago. i think this 8s pro will finally be a true gaming phone i can buy, good display, good cooling system. basically solves the issues that the rog 3 and black shark 5 pro had.

      Rog 3 is outdated af Rog 7 Ultimate fixed everything you're complaining about.

      @@Sincerity1993 omg🤣 dude cost of the rog is around 300+ USD in materials, price reach 1300 because of the brend name, and it has been already established over years. Red magic is fighting over that gaming industry and has to give more for less, those are the basics. I have both phones and I'm telling you there is no difference whatsover in performance. Only difference is that rog has bit better software.

      The S23 Ultra is superior, so don't have any regrets man. Only thing I dislike about that is the speaker placement on the sides

      @Frozoken 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@JohnSmith-ef8nrand is a good amount less tall so u don't have massive black bars that always cover the s23's hole unless ur willing to cut part of ur video off to zoom in and it's a lot on a 20:9 display, I had an s20 for years so speaking from experience, phones shouldn't have gone above 19:9 at most imo.
